The location and view are what really made this stay worth it. The scenery was absolutely beautiful, and we really enjoyed being in the area.The house itself, however, could definitely use some TLC and updating. It felt pretty run-down in several areas, and there were a few unpleasant smells near the kitchen and basement of the home. With some updating, a deep clean, and a little more attention to maintenance, this place could be amazing.Overall, we still enjoyed our stay because the view and location made up for a lot of the home’s shortcomings. It has so much potential it just needs a little love and updating to match the incredible setting

You cannot beat the ocean views at this house! Out having coffee in the morning as a pod of whales swim by. The house itself is very spacious and well-equipped. It was quite the fun journey to find out what was behind each door as the house does not have a traditional layout and it was the best thing about the house. Was slightly disappointed by the 5 pm check in as that is late compared to hotels and most other rentals. Other than that we had a great stay and would recommend.

The house was awesome with some areas needing improvement: - Several utensils (spatulas) in the drawer were dirty. - Window cranks broken or missing.- TV upstairs was confusing to operate. - Most all the beds were very comfortable.- The host was very responsive. Can't beat the location and the house was awesome even with some of these very minor issues.

A great place to watch the migrating whales. Saw dozens of spouts, and glimpses of the big, beautiful mammals from the back yard of rental. Says it sleeps 8, and it means 8 adults (full-sized beds, not make-shift cramped quarters). Spacious sleeping and gathering areas. Several bed/suite areas for privacy. Plenty of towels, TP, paper towels. Everything you need in the way of kitchen appliances, dishes and utensils to prepare meals. Deck area was closed for use, so bring your deck/camp chairs (sidewalk area and some flat areas in back yard to sit). Great price for this ocean-front, historic rental. Would highly recommend and will be back. Management was excellent to work with, very timely with responses. Pups loved taking trail down to beach.

House is larger than I expected and could not have been closer to the ocean. There are 3 bathrooms and a game room 2 dining tables and plenty of window built in bed/couches to view the ocean with the entire living room a window on the ocean.The kitchen is well stocked with everything needed for cooking. There are 2 ovens and a separate stove. The entire house has numerous built in nooks and crannies.The beach is right there and a little hard to get to, but we had 2 77-year-olds, one 2-year-old and one 68-year-old who had just gone through recent surgery and we managed to get to the beach numerous times.The place is pet friendly and dogs will love itThere appears to be a Seagull colony of birds of maybe 2 or 3 hundred to the left of the living room picture window, who can be seen with a very short walk.We loved it and would return if time and circumstances allow it in the future.There is a local grocery store in Yachats and one in Waldport of course there are larger options in Florence or Newport.

Great home for a reunion of friends coming from around Oregon.

This home is spacious and clean and has fantastic views. The beds were really comfortable and the hosts were helpful and readily available.

Great stay!

This is a fun quirky home in a beautiful spot. We enjoyed the peace and tranquillity. The views and tide pools are amazing! Great management company and great communication.

Memorial Day weekend stay

Stunning property. Beautiful views and beautiful location. The house is quirky but has everything you could want, lots of comfy beds and AMAZING views. Check in and communication from property manager was great.

Wonderful time with family

Spectacular Views!

We loved the views and spaces this place provided! We had a great time with family. We did miss the convenience of a stove top and the main shower and bath.

Wild surf

We had a great time watching the powerful waves crashing on the rocks, and exploring the tidal pools at low tide. Extraordinary views and experiences.

The Shipwreck is a Unique & Special Beach House!

Awesome location! Great House!Very comfortable and welcoming. Great beach access for all. We had rare & wonderful weather. Bring the cameras The view is outstanding!! A real gem on the Oregon Coast!

Relaxation

My husband and I needed a break from planting so we went to the coast for a little relaxation. This was a great spot for exploring tide pools and watching the right waves crash. The house was in a great location close to amenities and very clean. We were able to bring two of our dogs and they had a great time. Thank you.

Perfect getaway!!!

The Ship Wreck House was everything we could have asked for! From the breathtaking views to the uniqueness of the house we had the best time. Everyone had their own space to be able to getaway. The only disappointment was the air hockey table and the shuffle board table both did not work properly.

Lovely and inviting

We had a little issue when first attempting to use the key code but the property managers answered right away and helped us navigate the issue. The house was huge and very inviting. We had 4 couples that had all our own privacy. Great experience and will definitely be staying again. The view was just as magestic as the photos depicted.
