Perfect location for couples looking to getaway. Relax in the large whirlpool bath for two or enjoy your spectacular views of forest and meadow from your wrap around private sun deck. The guest house is situated on the second story with southern exposure allowing complete sun all day, with sky lights for a birds eye view. This guest house is completely private ,shared with no one below. We have A/C, a new Samsung Smart flat screen TV, king sized sleigh bed with the Serta Euro top firm mattress ,hard wood floors through out the guest house,, gas stove, new microwave and a new Cuisinart coffee maker.We are walking distance to the Dinsmore Golf Course and The Mills Mansion on the famous Hudson River. Two miles from the Norrie Point Marina. Five miles from the heart of Historic Rhinebeck Village. Restaurants, Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome, FDR Estate, Vanderbilt Estate, Omega Institute, Rhinecliff and Poughkeepsie train stations ,and so much more are all within your reach.

This was a lovely space to take a few days to myself, visit friends in the area and get some focused work done. Brad and Tanya were accommodating hosts, even bringing me a cup of coffee from town when the power was unexpectedly out in the morning after a storm (it was restored within a few hours). Location was beautiful, bed was comfy and the bathtub was a treat. Iā€™d happily stay there again.

Was very pleased with the property. It had everything we needed for our stay and was nice and clean with a super comfy bed. Very quiet and peaceful but only a minute or two from Route 9 and you can be in Rhinebeck or Hyde Park before you know it. Brad and Tanya are spectacular hosts and nothing is too much trouble for them. Would return in a heartbeat.

It was just a short stay for us but we couldnt have a better host. Communication between us and them was great throught the stay. Upon check-in it felt like I felt like I was talking to an old friend. We ask for recommendations and got a great rundown on the local restaurants. If we wnd up.going back to the area we will definitely be looking to stay again.

Very much enjoyed our stay. Comfortable and spacious accommodations. Well stocked kitchen and bathroom - met all our needs. Quiet and exceptionally peaceful. With the windows open at night we truly felt we were in a cozy cabin tucked away in the woods. But the location was just a short distance away from the main roads and close to all the attractions in the mid-Hudson valley. Friendly and helpful hosts, replied promptly to our questions/communications. Look forward to staying again.

This was our second stay at this charming apartment nestled in an array of lush trees and surrounded by a scenic countryside. The apartment is spacious and full of light from all the windows and skylights. The kitchen has all the basics to prepare meals and an outdoor seating area to have morning coffee and listen to the birdsong. The king size bed was especially comfortable and there is a comfortable liove seat and a smart TV. The area has many areas with varying levels of trails and mansions to visit if you choose. We had an excellent dinner in town at the River and Post and we recommend highly. Our hosts Tanya and Brad were very welcoming and Brad greeted us on our arrival. They were very gracious and they made us feel very comfortable , knowing we could ask them if we needed anything We hope to return again to this tranquil getaway Roe and Joe

One of the most accurately described properties we've stayed. Attentive hosts and everything you need within 20 minutes drive. Saw lots of deer in the property too.

Wedding events in Rhinebeck

Busy Fall weekend, so many facilities booked/overbooked. Location is not too far from Rhinebeck, about 8 min drive. Tucked away in wooded area, night time was perfectly quiet.

Peaceful Getaway

My husband and I came up for a half marathon in the area. The guesthouse was the perfect location, it was close to family and offered peace and quiet. The woods behind the house were a nice back drop to our morning coffee and breakfast. The location was secluded. Brad and Tanya were very communicative hosts, offering meal and entertainment suggestions if we needed them. Will definitely book again the next time we are in the area.

We had a wonderful stay. The guesthouse was delightful and our host was very friendly and a great source for area information and recommendations. We also share a profession and enjoyed some "shop talk". We would definitely rate our stay very highly.

Overpriced for the quality

The owners are very friendly and communicative so the check in was very smooth. However, the quality of the place was not up to price charged. The couch was old, dirty with holes in spots. The walls were also dirty in many places which could easily be remedied by a new coat of paint. A simple thing like the towels in the kitchen being old with some stains, again, very easy to fix. There were no rugs in the whole space which makes it not possible to use the floor for stretching or yoga or anything that requires floor space. One very good thing was the comfort of the bed - a definite must for a rental. The owner mentioned getting a bigger TV but my suggestion is they focus on the basics of cleanliness and updating very simple things that make a huge difference in presenting quality and care of a space. It was ok - why a 3 - but I would not book again.

Not as advertised

This propertyā€™s entire exterior, the ownerā€™s home and the cottage behind it, were poorly maintained, with worn stairs, deck, outdoor furniture, and umbrella. The door to the entrance was dented and partially rusted and in need of care. The inside of the house was somewhat clean, which is the only reason we stayed the two days. The furniture was worn out and really, the entire place was in need of serious TLC. The dishwasher was disconnected, the linen closet was stuffed, haphazardly, with winter quilts, an ironing board and iron. Quite frankly, the pictures included in the posting were not an accurate depiction of the property, as they led us to believe that we would be in a much more populated area, with water features, wildlife, and pillars leading to a resort type building. We are travelers, well versed in VRBO properties, both in the US and in Europe. None of us have ever had an experience in which the pictures and the description provided were so misleading. We are still puzzled by the glowing reviews!

Lovely cottage in the woods!

A charming fully-equipped small cottage perfect for a few nights in the lush wooded area of Staatsberg, ten minutes from charming Rhinebeck. Hosts were wonderfully attentive and informative, and the frig was stocked with water, etc! Warmly recommend.

Great location, great stay

Very convenient to Rhinebeck, Red Hook, etc and just off of Rte 9 but still very quiet and private. The hosts were wonderful and very helpful during check-in. They truly made sure I had everything I needed. The guest house is well furnished and very comfortable. Iā€™d definitely stay here again next time Iā€™m in the area!

We have area State Parks all within walking distance to the Dinsmore Golf Course, Norrie Point Marina, Mills Mansion leading to the shore of the Hudson River with beautiful Catskill Mountain views, and the Hopeland trails. Reservoir Road is a historic stone lined road, with views of the Hudson River and Catskill Mountains receiving sun until sunset. We are close to many local farms selling fresh produce.
