Northern Lights is a charming cottage with a vintage cabin feel nestled in the North Cottages area of the Lookout. It's just the right size for a couple or small family to enjoy a memorable vacation with all the comforts of home, and its compact footprint allows its outdoor space to live essentially.

The fully fenced, gated yard provides an enclosed space to relax outdoors, and the patio can accommodate friends and family staying in multiple Lookout homes. You'll find comfortable outdoor seating, whether you bask in the sun or lounge in the shade.

Play a friendly game of ping-pong. Take a stroll on the paved trail into town. Swim in the Vineyard Pool with a splash pad and hot tub just around the corner. Head over to the pickleball or basketball courts. Orā€¦ stock up the patio cooler and go nowhere. The choice is yours!

When you're ready to get out on the lake, the marina and beach cove is a scenic half-mile walk away. Taking the hilltop shuttle cuts the walking distance in half. Boat slips can be rented at the Lookout marina for your boat, or you can rent a variety of crafts, personal watercraft, SUPs, or kayaks from Shoreline Watercraft on site.

Whether Northern Lights is your home base or the destination, you'll find what you need in the fully equipped kitchen. Gather around the built-in banquette or dine outdoors on the covered deck. If you'd instead grill out, stairs from the home's front door will lead you to a high-quality grill and bar-height bistro dining table. The deck and patio outdoor dining tables offer eye-catching lake and mountain views.

After a day of outdoor adventures, warm up by the fire and roast s'mores in the in-ground stone fire pit. Gaze at the starry sky from the private hot tub.

When it's time to retreat indoors, the main level living room with vaulted ceilings is a warm, cheerful space to unwind. For indoor entertainment, there's an HD Smart TV with cable and an Xbox One for online gaming or watching movies.

The bedroom opens to the sheltered patio on the lower level through a view door. A Smart TV with cable in the bedroom has an Xbox One for gaming and movies. The adjacent bunk room and full bathroom are ideal for families with younger children.

Northern Lights is easily accessible from Bighorn Way. The oversized detached garage in the alley below the home provides dedicated, secure parking for one vehicle and extra space to stow gear. On-street parking is available for one additional car (no trailers or RVs).

PETS: Up to two potty-trained and well-behaved dogs are welcome at Northern Lights, provided they are crated when unattended. No puppies.

Northern lights

What an awesome house the weather didnā€™t quite cooperate but better weather for hiking and wineries. Lots of things to do on the grounds kids loved to pools and hot tubs.

Great little house for a couple and two dogs. We enjoyed ā€œthe lookoutā€ amenities, nice neighborhood, we were able to rent jet skis down at their waterfront. The pools were nice and cool for temperature in the 90ā€™s.

We loved the property. The hot tub was a huge plus because we hit less than ideal weather. The property is beautiful with lots to do for families. The house was clean and had everything we needed. We would stay again!

Perfect Getaway for Us and Our Dogs

This home was perfect for us and our two dogs. The space was beautiful, clean, and just the right size. We especially loved relaxing on the porch with our morning coffee while the dogs played safely in the fenced backyard. The check-in and check-out process was a breeze. Weā€™ll definitely stay at The Lookout again next time we're in Chelan

Beautiful property! Unfortunately, the outside garbage had maggots all over it and the umbrella over the table in the back had a beehive in it. Would go again, but make sure the garbage has been emptied before getting there.... It had been there a while.

Amenities were excellent, location as always is great, and it was a great space for our dogs and us to unwind. Would definitely book this house again! Would love to book again in the summer to enjoy the adorable back yard space - there was still quite a bit of snow during our stay but the dogs loved it nonetheless.

The bunkbed room was really cool and the kids loved it. I wish the other bedroom had a larger bed, but it was fine. The yard was perfect with things to do inside the nice fenced yard. Ping pong, hot tub, BBQ, fire pit were all well utilized. The community was perfect. We didn't have to leave the community because there were many outdoor activities to do right there. Stocked courts for play, Beach,pools! The kitchen was disappointing because it packed really basic things like salt, pepper, foil, zip locks, etc. Which i have found stocked in all other VRBOs I have used. That sucked. Other than the supply issue in the kitchen it was wonderful!

The house is small as other reviews mention but it's laid out so efficiently we never felt cramped or like it was too small. The fenced yard was also great with the fireplace, hot tub, and ping pong, and great seating available too. We brought our dog and two kids, ages 3 and 4. They were too small to climb up to the top bunk but fit perfectly in the bottom bunk together and slept great (we tucked them in horizontally so they basically had a king bed, width wise). We didn't end up cooking or using the BBQ so I don't have many reviews on the kitchen other than there was no counter spray so I was using soapy water to clean up spills. The seating area was comfortable in the kitchen and it was laid out nicely with space to move around. The only other thing was that we had a hard time figuring out the remote for the lights above the ping pong table and we couldn't find the sticks to do smores because they were not hanging on the fence like it mentioned in the house guide. Both of these things were non issues for us. Kids found sticks and fell asleep just fine with the lights. They had so much fun on this vacation, the house was a perfect home base and we used the hot tub a lot. Highly recommend it if you donā€™t need a huge place to stay. We absolutely loved our time staying at Northern Lights.

The house overall was in very good shape and outside was well kept.Very good customer service when we needed it which wasn't necessary pretty much. The only reason to contact them was to say how cold it was downstairs. Turns out the vents were closed. The vents are high up so a maintenance person came.I would recommend this property to anyone. It worked well for us.

Front gate needs repair, nails were protruding and it didn't latch. That would be my only negative. Would recommend to any small family!

We really enjoyed the outdoor space in the back with great seating, ping pong and hot tub. The fenced in property was perfect for our dog to roam and stay with us while we were outside. The location of the property is great and since there is no current building in the area so it was nice and quiet. The property management was responsive when we needed help with the hot tub, and immediately helped us out. We would stay here again!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The lookout does a fantastic job of making you feel far away from the hustle and bustle of downtown. Northern lights great location with awesome amenities. However construction at 118 started at 630 am in the morning! On three of the days we stayed there. I messaged the main office several times and never heard back from them. The upper pools hot tub was out of service and there was yellow caution tape around the pool. Northern lights is a great spot but I wouldnā€™t want to be woken up by construction at 630 am on vacation
