Once used for long-term renting, this two bedroom, one bath apartment is now ready for short-term renters. Clean and fresh new furniture and décor adds an eclectic feel with Americana touches. Everything you need is waiting on you. Dishes, pots and pans, and small utensils are stocked. Coffee, and tea, along with the fixings are ready for you to brew the perfect cup of brew. Enjoy sitting on the front deck early in the morning or in the evening. The apartment is centered in Gallia County off of the Rt. 35 Rodney exit. Merry Family Winery, Rio Grande College, and Green Valley Gathering Place are all very close in proximity. Downtown Gallipolis is a short 10 minute drive. Location is just what this apartment has, because we are close to everything but have a country setting.

OK for one-night stay

This is one side of an older duplex building, as can be seen from the photo in the listing, & we found it to be fairly clean with a very comfortable bed. Couch wasn't comfy to sit on - seemed very narrow; kitchen & bathroom were both very tiny. We brought our own coffee to make, but there was only a Keurig coffee maker with no pods available. There were coffee packets, but no regular coffee maker, which was disappointing. Not much around this unit, but we were only passing through, so that wasn't a problem for us.

Nice property, bad booking experience.

1. Property is nice. Convenient. Clean. Well appointed. Comfortable. Easy to access. Nice place for an overnight or a longer stay. 2. Booked at the rate listed on VRBO and paid in full up front. Day of arrival months later I received messages asking for more money because cleaning fee has not been "saved" on original. Messages were rudely worded and seemed to blame me for the problem between the owner and VRBO. I do notice that the new rental rate for the property property is just under double what I paid and now says "no cleaning fees". Would stay in the property, but would not want to deal with the owner or VRBO again.

Comfortable and quiet

We really enjoyed a comfortable and quiet stay. The unit was spacious and made our four day stay a nice retreat as we visited family. Easy check in and simple check out expectations.

Love these little places

We've struggled to find rentals in this area for years. These house/apartments are great little places to stay. Beth is always there if you need her, she replies to questions immediately. The rentals are quaint, clean and comfortable.

Clean w/ personal touches

Lovely moderately priced, spacious, rural bungalow. I loved being surprised by the milk, orange juice, honey nut Cheerios and Pringles left for us. The back/main door frame needs to be adjusted though. It's misaligned to the smart door keypad and was a struggle to get the door unlocked, even with the code right there in my hands. The DirectTV was a treat, as I only have basic cable. However, the internet is painfully slow. I haven't dealt with something that bad in 20 years. It made watching Netflix or Hamilton on Disney+ a pipe dream. I'd definitely stay here another weekend, but couldn't do a week due to the shoddy internet.

Clean and comfy

My wife, son and I enjoyed our stay before heading to a wrestling tournament at Rio Grande. Nice little place! We will be staying again next year if the tourney is there again!

Lovely area, convenient to good food. Nice and quiet. Property needs attention in some areas.

While this was a wonderful space to return to at the end of a long day, we were originally directed to and given access code to incorrect property. Restroom door and one bedroom door do not close or won’t stay closed. Cupboard over commode precarious.

Awesome hospitality!

We stayed in the house 3 nights as we were in town for a conference. Perfect size, it's tucked away from traffic and too many neighbors. The layout of the house was efficient while still providing abundant space. Beth was super quick to respond and is willing to take care of any issues that come up. Highly recommend and you can't beat the price!

Peaceful, clean, roomy

It was perfect for my two-night stay for a conference at the university. Very convenient and spacious. Loved hearing the meadowlark singing from a fencepost each day. :)

Very charming apartment.

The place was easy to find and very clean. Beth was easy to communicate with and very responsive. She even provided a few snacks and some water, and the beds were very comfy. We only stayed for one night on our way home from the coast, but it was a very comfortable night's stay.

Our Little Americana Charm

This was a very nice place to stay. It was quiet, clean, comfortable, convenient and spacious for the 3 of us. Easy on/off Ohio 35. This was a great option for my husband's business trip. It was reasonably priced. The hotels in the area were twice as much, and many of the hotels had reviews sharing there were bugs found. This was our reason to search a VRBO - There were absolutely NO BUGS here. The beds were comfortable. I will definitely stay here again if we need to stay in the area again. If you want to be near activity and conveniences (restaurants and stores), this is about 11 miles away. This place is in a remote area.
