Open the gate right off your property and step onto an adjacent path that leads directly to the Turkey Springs Trails System, an extensive network of trails for hiking and mountain biking. If you're visiting during the winter months, bring your skis and your snowboards and take advantage of the Wolf Creek Ski Area about 30 miles from your rental. After an exciting day on the slopes, hiking the trails, or whitewater rafting down the San Juan River, slip into the area's world-famous hot springs in the heart of downtown Pagosa Springs.

Best winter cabin!

The cabin was perfect for our winter family vacation. It was cozy, provided the necessary amenities and a perfect location. We were not far from restaurants, and less than an hour to the Wolf Creek ski area. As a fellow A&M graduate we knew we were right at home with the Texas decor! I felt secure with my toy yorkie going out in the fenced backyard to do his business. The neighborhood was very quiet. The only complaints we noticed was the upstairs shower was not draining, and the upstairs beds made a lot of noise with minimal turns. We could hear the persons bed in the room next to us make noise. Overall, the cabin was wonderful and i would definitely revisit this one & tell our friends to visit as well.

Decent Little Place with some Pros and Cons

We didn't see a current review so wanted to give a quick one. Stayed here over Christmas 2023. House is quite large and allows dogs, that's a huge plus for us. House was not spotless but fairly clean for a rental. The location is great as right out the backdoor there is National Forest and plenty of walking trails. The internet was fast and they had Roku available which let us use all our streaming services. The direct TV also worked great with full programming. Just a heads up, if it snows, which it did while we were there you will need to brush off the dish. It's right outside the back door to the side of the house. Be careful walking out the back door to the right, there was a huge mound of ice, walking off the deck was initially tricky, the snow slides off the roof here and obviously thaws and freezes. I used a hammer and shovel from the garage to chip this away. The house is also a little dated and because of this the heat does not work perfectly. While the living room gets warm, the master bedroom and bathroom are very chilly, they do have electric heaters for these areas, but you can't use them at the same time as they will blow the breaker. The hot water gets very hot but takes quite a bit of time so turn it on and wait. The driveway did not get plowed while we were there after the snow, so it was quite icy from a previous snow and the snow we had while there. I didn't have a problem but it could be tricky for a person not used to this.

Beautiful home and location

This home was beautiful and very clean. If you are looking for a semi remote, very quiet place up in the mountains, this is your place.

Lovely Property

This cabin is located in a beautiful area with the national park right outside of the yard. Great yard for your fur babies. The cabin is well stocked and very comfortable. A wonderful stay for sure.
