Welcome to the Oceanside Cabanas in Plantation. Our beach property consists of (2) 600 sq. ft. studio cabanas, (each with its own full kitchen) just TEN steps from the ocean.
Our home (not a hotel) is perfect for TWO couples, a family of 4, or four friends, looking to share the property (while still having their very own beach cabana) while exploring this part of Belize. We are mainly popular with guests seeking water/fishing and jungle activities who prefer staying at private home instead of a hotel.
LOCATION:
We are located in the residential/resort area of Plantation, about 20 minutes drive North of Placencia Airport and 30 minutes from the (not so sleepy Placencia Village). We are located in the narrowest part of the peninsula, and if you look at our location and map, you will see that our home is close to the road (the only road) that runs along the entire beach and lagoon.
Our home is “close... but not too close...” to resorts and hotel amenities. We are conveniently located in a resort area, where our guests can still enjoy hotel amenities without staying at a hotel, (because, again, remember we are not a hotel).
EACH CABANA IS approx. 600 Sq Feet, cathedral wood beam ceilings (close to 20 feet tall). Both floor and ceilings are made of local woods, beautifully hand-crafted in a traditional Belizean style. The 4 panel-glass doors completely opens each studio to the beach, providing indoor-outdoor tropical living Caribbean experience.
The cabanas were designed to have cross ventilation and cool off the studios with the windows open. When closed, the A/C cools the cabanas within 10 min.
EACH cabana has its OWN FULL RANGE w/ OVEN (perfect for cooking for 2-4 people)

Each cabana has its own full kitchen, and were designed to overlook the beautiful Caribbean Sea & palm trees on the beach, while preparing a meal or coffee on the large quartz counter top. They are fitted with stainless steel appliances, microwave, toaster, French press, blender and are stocked with pans/utensils/plates, allowing you to prepare your own meals for a group of up to FOUR. Because we are in a residential area (again, not a hotel) we DON'T allow parties or events at our house.
KING beds & bedding:
Each studio cabana has been set up with a King size bed, super SOFT and COMFORTABLE (PILLOW TOP MATTRESSES) for incredible comfort and a great night sleep!
The North Cabana has been fitted with a canopy King size bed. The South cabana is a little more flexible and can comfortably accommodate a couple with a King size bed or 2 single friends/family members who wish to have their own comfortable bed.
The King size bed on the South cabana can be turned into 2 separate extra large twin beds . If your staying in the South cabana, just let us know your preferred sleeping arrangements and we can accommodate your sleeping preferences. The beds overlook the ocean, so you can wake up to the sun rising over the beach.
Each cabana has its own full bathroom w hot and cold water, with a marble counter top, a local custom made vanity and the bathroom shower floor tile is made from Mexican river stones.
COVERED DECK:
The outdoor space was designed to maximize the beach as well as lagoon views .The common covered wood deck is close to 600 sq ft of covered outdoor living space~ and it’s 70 feet across between each cabana, linking and providing privacy between both cabanas. There is a large outdoor table overlooking the ocean (on one side and the lagoon on the other)-so we don't ever have to miss a sunset or a sunrise.

*PLS NOTE-Even though you will feel that you have your own private beach, please note that ALL Belize beaches and the Caribbean sea is considered PUBLIC BEACH or Queens Land. Weather and ocean conditions are unpredictable.

Our local workers rely on public transportation and due to bus schedules, you may see our landscape and cleaning crew arrive/work before the 9AM ck-out time.
BY SUBMITTING YOUR FINAL PAYMENT, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ OUR POLICIES AND INFORMATION and are aware of the risks of being in the vicinity of large bodies of water. In addition, you will not hold The Oceanside Cabanas LLC or its owners responsible for accidents or loss that might occur during your stay.
DISCLAIMER - When you make your final payment for your stay at the OCEANSIDE CABANAS LLC, you are agreeing to follow the house rental agreement, Manual, Rules and Policies, CK-in and Ck-out process. You further agree to follow local rules and to use the Internet for ethical and legal purposes only. You further agree to pay for any damages incurred above the deposit collected. You agree to release the Oceanside Cabanas LLC and its owners, from any liability or damages caused by accidents to any and all guests and daily visitors, inside and around the property, that could occur during your stay.
PLS NOTE:
On a rare occasion, our home may not be a fit for guests who are expecting 1st world hotel amenities in a 3rd world developing country like Belize (remember, this is our private home that we enjoy sharing with our visiting guests). We encourage all our guests to become educated on the country of Belize, and be AWARE of tropical environments, ocean living conditions, and 3rd world countries dynamics, tropical mosquitos, bugs, unpredictable weather, power outages, etc. and if we feel that we cannot accommodate your requests, and your better suited to stay at a hotel, we DO reserve the right to cancel your reservation.
