This relaxing recently updated 2BR/1BA cottage is steps away from every shop, restaurant, playground, and bar in The Village. Leave your keys in the car for the weekend and walk everywhere. From Music on the Lawn (which you can hear from the spacious new front porch) to the lovely wine shop downtown, ice cream at the famous Kilwin’s to dinner at award-winning restaurants – this stylish cottage is the perfect getaway for a family, friends, or a couple wanting to step away from it all.

Living Areas
This delightful cottage boasts charming details and original hardwood flooring. An open dining room and living room are perfect for sharing a meal or playing a board game. A spacious kitchen is stocked with all the essentials for cooking a delicious breakfast before heading out for shopping downtown, a hike at Bass Lake or a ride on Tweetsie the train.

Bedrooms & Bath
Step into a restful retreat in the large master bedroom. Designed with relaxation in mind, cozy up under a blanket in the reading nook or take an afternoon nap in the plush king-size bed with a luxurious memory-foam mattress. With its large size, easily fit a crib (there’s one onsite) or air mattress right in the room. Our queen bedroom is not only stylish but comfortable. The nearby guest bath features custom wall art with a double vanity, bathtub and shower.

Outdoor Spaces
The newly renovated front porch of this house is made for fun and relaxation! In the afternoon, take the kids across the street to the incredible Blowing Rock Elementary playground. In the evenings, retreat to the front porch to reflect on your day in the comfortable outdoor furniture and enjoy a beer while listening to music on the lawn (from May to October). A small but inviting front yard is surrounded by a hedge for privacy. Sit under the apple tree in a double Adirondack lounger to maximize your time away or fire up the on-site propane grill for a cookout.

Extra Amenities & Details
Guest amenities include a washer/dryer, crib and high chair, parking for one car at the main house with access to more parking by request. Enjoy a ping-pong tournament or shuffleboard game in the garage game room.

The location was a block from Main Street so easy to walk to wonderful restaurants for breakfast or dinner, but it was far enough from Main Street to be quiet. This home was so comfortable, and the owner thought of everything. Find Bass Lake about 5 minutes away for a truly magical walk around the lake -about a mile. What a jewel of a place. We loved using this as our daily place to explore other towns but return to comfort each night. Highly Recommend. 11 out of 10 rating

Really convenient location, charming home beautifully decorated, wonderful front porch, very accommodating host, and extremely clean. We enjoyed three nights of comfortable sleeping and our grandson was thankful for the games and playground.

Great location, right off of Main Street. Not too close to main street for the noise. The garage ping-pong and shuffleboard was fantastic for us grown-ups and a nine-year-old. The property was well stocked with necessities. Bedding was super comfortable. Highly recommend, and certainly would stay there again.

My husband and I LOVED everything about our stay at Village Charm Cottage! It is a warm cozy cottage with a lovely front porch with cool breezes and feels very inviting and private. And only 1block from downtown with plenty of parking across the street. The cottage is extremely well stocked with everything from spices to extra linens and towels. No scrimping here!!!! And to top it off, Allison and Ethan the hosts are sweet and very helpful. God willing we will be back!

Amazing! The house was so well-appointed. Everything you could need was there. Decorated so beautifully. Full enough to feel like you lived there, but not so much that you felt like you were interloping in someone else’s house. Super clean! The porch was so Fantastic. It was huge. And the proximity to downtown made it a breeze to walk up. And the bedding, was top tier! Can’t say enough good things about it all!

Another Fantastic Stay!

We have stayed at this property multiple times and we just love it. It's close to everything in town where you don't have to get in your car again if you don't want to, but also just far enough off Main street where you feel a good sense of privacy. Highly recommend!

Perfect as always

This was our 4th stay at Laurel House, and it was perfect, like always. The home is beautiful, well-appointed and welcoming. We felt right at home. The convenience of the location is unmatched! A short walk to everything downtown and walkable to local trails as well. The owners are very kind and responsive as well! When we arrived, one of the light bulbs was out, and the property manager quickly replied to my concern and remedied the situation. We will certainly be staying for a 5th stay (and more!)!

Perfect location and home

This cottage has everything! No need to bring coffee, tea or creamer. They have plenty of supplies and the kitchen had everything. Beds are super comfortable. The cottage is filled with light. The porch has a delightful swing and plenty of seating! Loved our visit. J O’Connor

Love Laurel House

Our third time at Laurel House so you know we love it! Wonderful location - so convenient to walk to shops and restaurants. All amenities are provided and the house is simply charming. Hosts are friendly and very responsive if a question arises. We'll be there again next year. Highly recommend.

Perfect mountain trip

This was a perfect house for our family. It was very clean and well stocked. The location was perfect! We walked everywhere in Blowing Rock and very convenient to get to Boone and the parkway for hikes and exploring outdoors. We will definitely stay here again!

Wonderful location

This was my first visit to Blowing Rock. My sister and I stayed at the cottage and loved it. The location is perfect and you can walk everywhere in town. We had a blast in the evenings playing ping pong. Such a great overall experience.

Eventually, we were able to return to the High Country to raise our families, and love living in such a vibrant mountain community.

We named our house after the Mountain Laurel, a beautiful blooming plant that grows abundantly in this area. It's always lush and green, no matter the season. We hope you'll feel at home in the Laurel House, no matter the season, and will enjoy all the High Country has to offer throughout your visit. Whether you want to stay in or go exploring, we feel confident this stunning area offers something for every enthusiast. We can’t wait to help you discover it for yourself!
