This property is the finest rental property in Leelanau County. Perfectly situated on the Leland River, at the mouth of North Lake Leelanau, just south of town. The home is walkable to Lake Michigan beaches, restaurants, shopping, grocery and everything Leland has to offer.

The interior is appointed with modern yet comfortable furnishings. The main floor features a master with a king bed, open kitchen, living and dining area, a back hall with laundry, closet, half bath and an attached two stall garage. The upper floor offers two large queen bedrooms overlooking the river, a large loft with sectional and Tv, a full bath, game room with pool table and TV and a bunk room with two twin beds.

Recreation opportunities are limitless. Included in your stay are 2 kayaks, 2 paddleboards, several bikes and beach chairs. The permanent dock on the river is for your use with room for your boat or rental. Walk just 5 minutes to the best beaches on Lake Michigan. Short drive to Traverse City, Sleeping Bear Dunes and several coastal towns with shops and restaurants.

Happily Situated

My husband and I rented this home for a three-day getaway with our two sons, their wives, and our newborn grandbaby. It was the perfect setup, offering ample space for all. The guys enjoyed the pool table, and we spent a lot of time hanging out with each other in the main living area (there was also a living room area on the second floor, which was nice). The master suite was spacious and luxurious. Everything was very clean and thoughtfully arranged.We all enjoyed conversation and played games on the beautiful patio area overlooking the canal which connects Lake Leelanau with Lake Michigan. My husband and I spent time in the Adirondack chairs out by the dock watching the ducklings and boats pass by. Picturesque! Both young couples made use of the kayaks. (Sadly, the tires on the bikes were flat and we couldn’t locate a tire pump, but that didn’t stop our fun.) We walked the short distance into the village of Leland a couple different times to check out Fishtown, the shops, eat breakfast at Trish’s Dishes (6 minutes away walking) and lunch and dinner at The Cove (12 minute walk). Both restaurants we highly recommend. Our kids enjoyed coffee and reading books in the outdoor courtyard area of Madcap Coffee, as well. Because this was a vacation for me, too, we ate out and didn’t cook, so we missed out on using the high end Wolf brand range and grill.We love this location in Leland, and a short drive to Sutton’s Bay and Northport. Very happily situated!

Perfect Location

Beautiful property right on the water. Close to town, the beach, and all other towns around Leland. House was exactly what we needed to entertain everyone. The home included bikes and water toys that we were able to leverage without having to deal with additional rentals. Thank you Joel and the rest of the team!

Fun and Relaxing Stay

We really enjoyed this home. All the finishes and appliances are high end. The pictures dont really do the home justice. The location was perfect for using the river and lake as there is a dock with the home. The house comes with kayaks and paddle boards which we used a lot. The beach access does require crossing a somewhat busy road which was the only thing I didnt care for. We would definitely stay here again.

The Perfect Up North Getaway

The house is absolutely beautiful, and gorgeously decorated. The pictures on VRBO do not do this house justice. The house is a new build that sits near other new houses near the river, and is located within 5 minutes to Downtown and nearby vineyards. Communication on the booking was excellent. We had a few questions leading up to our arrival and Joel was quick on responding and was helpful. We will be saving this listing for future trips up north.

Great getaway with friends

The house was perfect for our group of 8 adults. Beautiful location on the river, easy access to Lake Michigan beach and to downtown Leland. Enjoyed the beautiful back yard patio and sitting area, had fun kayaking on the river. House was very clean and had everything we needed.

Holiday staycation.

Beautiful home, beautiful setting on river. Comfortably accommodated our family of 5 adults. I sensed that this house was just recently finished and unsure if it had been rented prior to our stay. Although it advertised as a "sleeps 10" rental, there were only 4 dinner plates and only 2 kitchen towels. Due to COVID, we prepared all of our meals in-house so both of these items were a problem. Otherwise a wonderful place to stay.

Beautiful house in a great location

We came up for a short girls getaway and barely left the house! It's beautifully designed and had everything we needed. The location on the river is perfect and we loved being so close to town. We definitely want to come back, especially in the warmer months to take advantage of the water! Thank you!

Relaxing Week n Leland

A fun and relaxing family vacation! It was our first time visiting the area and had a wonderful time. The property is beautiful, comfortable and a beautiful waterfront view. We enjoyed many activities - shopping, cooking, visits to wineries, hikes, sitting outside in the evening and making memories with our family.

Beware Construction Next Door

This is a GREAT home and property under normal conditions, but when we visited the conditions were not good at all. There is a house being built next door and the site was super busy, noisy and disturbing. We were looking for peace and quiet, not a parade of cement trucks, well diggers and chainsaws. The rental home owner misled us about the situation before we arrived. He said his home is oriented away from the construction site. It is NOT! He also wasn't responsive when we let him know what was happening during our stay. The house and lot are beautiful—better than the pics—which made our disappointment from the noise, dirt and lack of privacy even more painful. If you want to enjoy the patio, yard, dock and river during the day as we were hoping to, make sure the new construction next door is at a stage that won't ruin your visit.

Family time on the lake

Wow. We loved our stay. The home is lovely, and had everything we needed and then some. The paddle boards, kayaks, and bikes were a special plus. The home is well built with beautifully decorated. Love being on the river.
