A short walk or bike to 15+ miles of nearly deserted white sand beach. Yes, just picture yourself in paradise. That's where you'll be when you enjoy an unforgettable vacation at 'Hale Kekaha', our only premium ocean front unit, just 26 miles from the Lihue Airport, and a world away from the maddening crowds. With an average annual rainfall of less than 20 inches, you can almost guarantee yourself a sunny vacation... regardless of the time of the year. Why gamble with your vacation, by staying on the North Shore, where rain can be all too common? Swimming, surfing, sunbathing, watching the sunset whatever your pleasure, you'll find yourself living a dream as you marvel that anyplace on earth can be so perfect.

This non-smoking plantation style unit is located near Waimea Canyon (the Grand Canyon of the Pacific) and Barking Sands Beach, with convenient access to restaurants, movie theater, shops, markets, and the famous Jo-Jo's shave ice. The condo-style unit has been recently remodeled and redecorated by a well known designer, and is loaded with amenities that will make you feel instantly at home. Quality furniture and linens, tile floors, and lots of windows to take in that view. One bedroom has a king bed, and the second bedroom has two double beds, which are much roomier than those standard twin beds you find elsewhere.
There is a gas BBQ to make it a pleasure to cook at home.

This is no tourist trap. There are no hotel resorts, no vendors hawking cheap souvenirs. Just an endless expanse of pristine beach and warm surf and spectacular sunsets, with friendly people who offer the 'spirit of aloha' with each greeting. It's like traveling back in time to the Hawaii of yesteryear, the perfect getaway from the cares of everyday life.

Swaying coconut palms, balmy breezes, sandy beaches, warm ocean water, and days of sunshine. All the ingredients for a perfect ocean side vacation in Kauai, at Hale Kekaha.

This beachside rental was perfect for my combined work and vacation trip. I could listen to the waves crashing and watch whales from the lanai, and had easy access to Waimea Canyon. Trips to other parts of the island were easy, but the proximity to PMRF was the most important thing for me and that was perfect. The unit was clean and comfortable, with plenty of amenities including laundry, beach chairs and gear, everything we could want.

Was a relaxing stay, everything that was needed to enjoy the stay was there. Some traffic at times but that was no big deal, beats a hotel or tourist area anytime.

Beautiful place to stay! Equipped with everything you need, just bring food Nice Lanai out front for morning coffee and evening sunsets. My first time to Kauai and couldn't have picked a better location!

We really enjoyed our stay here. My wife commented that this is the cleanest place that we’ve ever stayed on vacation. Located on a quieter part of the island. Beautiful sunsets from the front lawn. We cooked dinner here a few times and the kitchen was stocked with everything that we needed. Thanks for a great stay.

Perfect out of the way spot to explore Kauai. We loved cooking and hiking and beaching and animals and EVERYTHING. Local culture is more obvious in this area. Apartment was perfect for us!

Great place

We really enjoyed our stay, the house was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen had everything that we needed to cook dinners for a family of four. We loved the patio table and ate out there almost every day. There is a bit of road noise but it was well worth it for the view of the ocean. It was so nice to walk across the road in the evenings to watch sunset or talk to fishermen.There is a ton of beach gear (chairs, umbrellas, coolers, floaties, sand toys, etc). It was super nice to be able to have everything we needed without having to rent anything.We would definitely stay here again!

Nice Stay

We enjoyed this property. It was clean and comfortable. Air conditioner is in the main bedroom so that is a little noisy at night but not bad and it cooled the unit properly. Two sandy beaches are very close and are beautiful beaches to spend the day. We enjoyed our stay.

Nice stay close to the ocean

Nice and tidy place to stay for a week while visiting. Pros: spacious home, listen to and see the ocean, nice cookware and a good kitchen, very nice backyard area. Two cons: there’s is a main road in front, and you hear traffic it’s far away from other beaches and other areas of the island, so as long as you’re okay with driving to most restaurants or snorkel spots, this is a great pick.

I’m a former resident coming home to visit. Being from Kekaha, this was the perfect location! Place is super cute with ceiling fans throughout and an AC unit in the master. Had all the amenities I needed and was located right around the corner from my family and friends. Would definitely stay again!

A Little Slice of Kauai Heaven in Kekaha

We have had a wonderful stay in this beautiful cottage. It is well stocked, very clean and comfortable. You can’t beat the view from the spacious covered lanai. It’s so nice to fall asleep at night, listening to the sound of the waves. Best VRBO experience on Kauai.

Vacation in Paradise

Beautiful views from the lanai with whale sightings. Wonderful nearby beach for walking and watching the surfers. Excellent property management by Scott and his team, Keenan and Cindy. Note: this property is in a neighborhood so there may be associated traffic but we felt that the positives of the property outweighed that. The unit is very well equipped and comfortable.

Wonderful Place

Overall this was a great place to stay. It was clean and spacious and had the amenities we needed. Loved that it had beach towels and chairs, snorkeling equipment, sand toys and beach umbrellas. It was comfortable and very close to a beautiful, not crowded beach. We loved watching sunsets every night and eating outside. There is a highway right in front of the property with constant traffic, even throughout the night, which was not our favorite but overall a good place to stay.

Slice of Paradise

We will definitely visit this home again on our next visit to Kekaha. The home is perfectly located 1/2 mile from our family and directly across the street from the beach - You can hear the waves crashing 24 hours a day and the view is heavenly. We had everything we needed.

My wife and I had such a ...

My wife and I had such a relaxing time. Just a few steps to the white pristine quiet beach. The rental was newly remodeled and very clean. It was close to Waimea Canyon. Such a beautiful island. Can't wait to come back. We will definitly stay here again.
