A place for you to gather and have an awesome time at Silver Lake State Park

Waterfront Silver Lake newly remodeled 5bd/3bd

This is the place you’ve been looking for to create family memories. Remodeled in 2018. This 5 bedroom 3 bathroom 2,804 sq feet home is perfect for large groups. Granite countertops throughout. Located on Silver Lake channel, this property is walking or biking distance to downtown, Silver Lake and Lake Michigan’s beach access at the end of W Silver Lake road.

This place has plenty of parking for dune vehicles and an air hose to fill your tires on site. No more waiting in line. The cottage is close to all the fun things in that town: Dune rides, boats, go-karts, zipline and mini golf. Wet bar including kegerator with tap. Bring your favorite beer or home brew.

SORRY, NO PETS ALLOWED

NO SMOKING ALLOWED

We allow a MAXIMUM of 18 people sleeping at night. We allow a MAXIMUM of 22 people during the day 9am-10pm. If guests exceed these numbers, the security deposit will be kept and extra guests will be escorted off.

You will have access to the whole home except two closets.

I am a always available during your stay. I would ask you to refer to the guest helpful information first before reaching out to answer any FAQs. We email you a copy of the info prior to your arrival and there is a copy located a the lake house for your convenience.

This is the quite side of the lake. Perfect for families who want to go have fun at Silver lake and come back and relax. Everything you need and more.

Most people get around via bikes or vehicles. I would bring both. There is air on site to fill your ORV tires.

Wonderful base for Silver Lake fun

Great spot for exploring all that the area has to offer. Our group was big and included lots of kids, and we had plenty of space and the kids loved the slide into the channel. We appreciated the kayaks and canoe as well. The house had everything we needed. Would definitely come back!

Perfect Place At Silver Lake

Family vacation with our whole family. Infants to 60 year olds. Great place to stay for the family. Played in the river behind, campfires, plenty of outside space. Covered porch and back deck are GREAT for getting the whole family together. Also a quiet place far enough away from the trucks and traffic of the dunes.....

Bachelorette weekend

We had a Bachelorette weekend with 13 people. Place was very roomy, accomodating for us all. Nice outdoor area. Had great communication with the owner. Highly recommend!

We had an awesome stay - 16 people including kids and plenty of room. We had everything we needed in the space and an incredibly responsive host. Kids could safely play in the back yard and fish off the dock (water is shallow) and kayak (provided!). We would kayak and canoe to Silver Lake every day. Location was perfect. We didn’t swim in the water but we were 5 minutes from Lake Michigan which was perfect. Look forward to coming back!

Great Location

Lots of accommodations such as kayaks and canoes. We had five families stay and there was plenty of room. Fantastic location next to the dunes and on a beautiful river that leads to Silver Lake. Would recommend to bring additional blankets. Would stay again!

Great time , 4 couples and plenty of space.

8 of us stayed and had plenty of room! Lots to do in area, house was clean. Plenty of kitchen supplies. Great dining table and outdoor area. ( could use better ply toilet paper for the money, and some nicer living room furniture but prob lots of use so don’t blame keeping as is - but minor! ) Enjoyed our stay!

The place was fantastic! The property was clean and was exactly as described. It fit our family of 17 people perfectly. The kids loved to fish off the dock in the canal and it had kayaks that everyone enjoyed using. Just a few minutes on the kayak down to silver lake. We would definitely return!

Wonderful getaway!

What a great space for our 3 generation family getaway. Host was extremely accommodating. We especially enjoyed the kayaks and the availability of firewood was a bonus. There are a lot of trees that cause some cleanliness issues on the outside table/chairs and the geese that wander through the property leaving "presents" were the only negatives. The location was phenomenal and we would recommend in a heartbeat.

The house was big enough for all 15 of us. You can not swim in the water the property is on. We had to drive to the beach. Overall we had a great time but not sure we would come back.

Spacious Cabin for a Family Gathering

We rented this property for our annual NYE gathering with four families with children. There was plenty of room and comfortable sleeping for all of us. The main living area was comfortable with lots of room to move also. Being that it was winter time, there wasn’t many businesses open in the immediate area. But we were there to hang out as a family, so it wasn’t an issue for us. Great experience overall!

We loved the location of this house and that there were several separate spaces for bedrooms. We enjoyed the back deck, which got nice shade. We also made use of the kayaks and canoes! There were plenty of outdoor eating areas. Kitchen was a really nice size. Board games were available and a nice touch. Walking distance to Mac Dunes Rides. What could be improved: there were no extra blankets in the entire house. We had brought a few air mattresses for our toddlers, but no extra linens. Also, the shower water was very inconsistent - it would vary between burning hot and ice cold. WiFi router had to be reset repeatedly - not a big deal, but something to be aware of. Finally, window coverings in the bunk bed room would be appreciated for parents with young children who want their kids to sleep past 6:15am in the summer. :)

Great family home

We had a wonderful stay with our 3 adult children and their families. There was plenty of room for our group of 7 adults and 4 children ages 2, 4, 8, and 9. We weren’t sure if we would use the kayaks and canoe but that turned out to be a great activity for all of us and we used them almost every day. The house is in a convenient location and close to Mac Woods, Silver Lake, Lake Michigan, and the sand dunes. We contacted Eric soon after we arrived because the housekeepers had not left enough sheets. Eric responded immediately and the sheets were delivered promptly. We all loved our stay here!

July Stay

Hello, thank you for the memories we made as a family. We all loved the house, location, and beaches on the Dunes. Everything was great, but I'd find a way to get clean towels into the house or have a washing machine so people can do a load of towels each night. Some of the kids missed the wifi which didn't work but I didn't mind at all. LOL

Great place for family fun

We have a large family, this property was a great size, clean and conveniently close to everything. Kids loved being right on the channel to take the kayaks out and fish. We walked to get ice cream and to the playground at the Silver Lake State Park. The owner was very responsive, accommodating, and kind. Couple notes: there is not a slide like in the pictures but it would have been too shallow to use. Also it could have helped to have a hair dryer on site as well as more kitchen towels. All in all I would recommend!

Amazing location

We spent 4 nights here at an annual trip that my three friends and us do. We had 4 families of 4. Kids age range from 6-13. We enjoyed the channel. We also brought our own kayaks and was able to kayak out to silver lake. We enjoyed mac dunes, Lake Michigan and silver lake! Only complaint is many dishes were dirty upon arrival. I am going to guess that the previous guests did not make sure they were clean before putting away. There was food in fridge and pantry. I was unsure if this is possibly the owners or any leftovers from previous guest. All in all it was great and would definitely stay again!

Labor Day Family Getaway

This was our 2nd annual family Labor Day get away. Last year we were closer to downtown and within walking distance to everything. This cabin is on the opposite end - not within walking distance which we knew before booking. The smaller kids enjoyed fishing from the dock and caught plenty of small fish. They also enjoyed using the kayaks up and down the channel. We visited the state park beach one day which is great and spent some time at Craig's Cruisers. The house was plenty big to accommodate all 10 of us with room to spare! The pictures, although accurate, don't depict that up close and personal show the upgrades are very DIY-ish and aren't necessarily finished off professionally. This does NOT in any way affect the overall use of the house. Just something that was noticed in several areas such as around shower heads, bathroom fans, flooring, etc that don't show in the pictures. We would all definitely recommend this house to others and already have :) Communication with the homeowner was wonderful as well. Just know there is no slide into the channel as shows in some of the listing pictures and the water there isn't really great for swimming anyway. You will have to drive to the attractions from this cabin if you plan to visit anything.

65th anniversary reunion with 12 family

Accommodations were ideal for large family group. Clean and well equipped. Appreciated using canoe and boats. Location brought back memories of walking down the creek 80 years ago.

It's more than enough space for your family and their needs. It's on the quite side of the lake. Close enough to enjoy downtown, Lake Michigan and the state park. We spent a lot of time and money on bringing this place back to life. We hope you will spend your summers creating memories here!

The channel is great for flat bottom boats or kayaks. Travel up the channel to Silver lake or down the channel to Lake Michigan. Not very many places at Silver Lake are large enough to support larger families. Our place have 9 Full or Queen size beds. Restaurant across the street.
