The Beekeeper s Cottage is a short term/vacation rental. Located beside the main home the beekeeper s cottage has friendly, happy bees to right of driveway that provide fresh honey. We have 2 sweet white small ducks that enjoy the back-yard pond/water-fall area. We also have a 12-year old black manx kitty names Gideon, and a small indoor dog named Daisy plus a sweet bunny named Newman.
In summer we have a beautiful garden and a wonderful back-yard and relaxing hammock.
The cottage is decorated in a beekeepers style, with an antique white iron bed with a new mattress. A small kitchenette and a bathroom with a shower.
This property is also ideal for traveling professionals on an out of state project, locals needing a residence while their home is under construction, traveling nurses, graduate college students, people moving into the state and looking for a place to stay while they house shop.

This beekeeper s cottage is an easy drive to Tacoma, Bremerton, Seattle, Bellevue, Mt. Rainier and the rainforests of the Olympic Mountain range.
But first make sure you partake in everything Gig Harbor and nearby areas have to offer. After you've strolled through the quaint downtown and shopped the boutiques and antique stores take your pick from any of the great restaurants and cafes. Seafood is always on the menu.
From the ever popular Tides Tavern for casual waterfront dining to Anthony s where the views are as fabulous as the food. You won t be disappointed by the wide variety of culinary choices.
Gig Harbor is surrounded by water so you can take your pick of activities. Go whale watching with Destiny Tours, check out the History Museum to learn about Gig Harbor s nautical past, pack a picnic and head to one of the many great state parks for a day of sun and sand.
Paddle boarding, kayaking, boating, shopping, restaurants and coffee shops abound within blocks.
Double check the address we are on 64th Ave but Google maps sometimes send people to 86th for some unknown reason.

We had an excellent experience at this property. The home was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed for 3-night stay. The property was beautiful. Nicely landscaped. Our only downside was the room was smaller than expected. Unable to exit/enter the bed from both sides. Other than that it was great!! Nina and Brent were perfect hosts!

Quite simply wonderful. Imagine staying with your best friend who has thought of everything to make your stay amazing and you have it. Every single detail was perfect, a beautiful gift on arrival, a bottle of wine, great coffee & tea and the most delicious honey from their own hive. The bed was comfortable and the entire cottage was immaculate. As an added bonus I was able to cuddle their beautiful dog River. The hosts are so lovely and afford you complete privacy whilst making sure everything is perfect. Don’t hesitate book this cottage, it is the best accommodation I have ever rented. I absolutely loved our stay and the area is beautiful. Thank you both, I will never forget your kindness.

A most-lovely backyard cottage!

We were very impressed with the beekeeper’s cottage. It was beautifully decorated, easy to get to, and had just about everything we needed. We got in late at night after a concert and were able to park in our designated spot and get to the cottage easily. We were greeted with a lovely welcome note, a bottle of wine, honey products, some candies, and coupons for local shops. We spent most of our days out on the town and didn’t get to meet our hosts but we could tell just how much thought and love was put into the little property. We really enjoyed the little ducks!! One note is that the property is not on the beach and there was not air conditioning as listed, but neither of those things posed a problem for us since it cooled off at night and was a quick drive to the harbor. We also couldn’t figure out how to use the coffee maker provided (probably user error) but we were okay with that since it gave us another excuse to get out on the town early for our morning coffee. We loved every moment staying in the beekeeper’s cottage and will absolutely do so again if we get an opportunity in the future! Thank you Nina!

Our stay at Nina’s Beekeepers Cottage

This is a REALLY cute place. My wife who loves to garden DID NOT HELP moving stuff as she was so busy taking pictures of the property. We had a very pleasant stay here while our house was under construction nearby ….and it was one of the smarter decisions we made. Quiet and peaceful setting on a beautiful property

I enjoyed staying in the cozy cottage. It’s very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The downtown area is not far from the vrbo and there are many things to do and see there. Gig harbor is quite nice with great restaurants On the harbor. Brent and Nina are wonderful hosts.

This was my first time staying in a cottage VRBO. I have always been interested in thr Gig Harbor area and decided to book a reservation. The host was hospitable and the cottage had the amenities that I need for a sbort stay. I enjoyed seeing the little ducks and the other animals on the property. I will keep this property on my list should I ever be in the area again.

Beautiful respite for the weekend

We chose the bee keeper's cottage for our weekend landing spot during a week of college tours in the Pacific Northwest. I am so glad that I stumbled upon this spot in Gig Harbor. It was such a perfect respite for the weekend, allowing us also to easily explore the Harbor as well as drive into Seattle and take a ferry to Bainbridge Island. We adored the cottage with all of the adorable touches. Nina was the most delightful host that felt like a friend. We loved getting to know all of their furry and feathered friends on the property. The welcome package with the sweet honey touches as well as the delicious coffee and beautiful mugs made for such nice slow mornings. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and I intend to return with my husband in the future. I highly recommend this gem in Gig Harbor.

My name is nina, I started saving for this property when I was 11 years old. I bought the property right out of High School. In 1991 the house was purchased from Tacoma and moved onto the property. It was originally built in 1940. In 2016 the Beekeepers Cottage moved onto the property.

I fell in love with this property when I was 18yrs old. I just love the big trees and all the birds and wildlife. The property is very close to the water and to beautiful Gig Harbor.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

The cottage is located in a beautiful garden with a waterfall and a large open patio. There is a wonderful hot tub that makes star gazing and relaxing a year round event. In the summer there is a big Hammock for taking a afternoon nap. The two adirondack chairs on the porch is a perfect place to share a fresh brewed pot of coffee. From the deck you have a perfect view for watching the ducks play in the pond. The Harbor is just 7 minutes away, making grabbing a bite to eat and a movie a easy task.
