Screaming cute 1910 Mill Valley Cottage is ready for you to fall in love with. What an opportunity to enjoy this charming 2 bedroom home up to modern times while enjoying the preserved redwood wainscoting, box beam redwood ceilings, window bench sitting with big deck above the tranquil trees.

Enjoy sipping coffee in the ceiling to ceiling windowed dining hall as well as enjoying time on the deck.

There is a queen bed in each of the two bedrooms. There are 38 steps down to the house from the street. The house itself is one floor with no further stairs.

30 minutes will get you into downtown San Francisco, Berkeley, or Stinson Beach. Around the corner from Muir Woods.

We have super fast fiber internet and so the house is a good base for some quiet work and relax time. A relaxing abode among the hustle and bustle of Silicon Valley. There's Flat Screen LCD 4K TV with Netflix.

To make your stay smooth and comfortable, we wanted you to know that we have a super fast Fiber Optic wifi so you can use WIFI Calling on your phone, since cell phone reception can be weak or nonexistent in the canyons of Mill Valley. If your phone cannot use WIFI Calling, this might not be a cabin for you.

Our house is a cute Cabin built over 100 years ago. As such we have a small heating system that we will leave on for a few days before you arrive to keep the house nice and warm. That said some misty mornings, with birds chirping through the fog, can be chilly so dress appropriately. The house, with its south facing windows, heats up on its own during the day. If you require central heating and are not comfortable wearing a sweater in the morning, this might not be a cabin for you.

We recommend parking on the designated concrete spot in front of the garage and arriving during the day as there are steps to navigate the first time.

Kitchen has a huge oven and a massive fridge and two cooking standup tables. There's a washer and dryer in the alcove behind kitchen and a brand new dishwasher. That said if you require a large kitchen this might not be a cabin for you.

Apart from that there's a beautiful deck where you can really seep in the atmosphere of a canyon in Mill Valley. It's super quiet.

Fantastic relaxing stay

Such a wonderful house, we really enjoyed it! The house has a fantastic feel, very cottage like and warm with all the beautiful wood which we really loved. The kitchen has a huge gas stove and really nice fridge which was great since we cooked most of the time. The owner was very responsive and incredibly helpful when we had to change schedules at the last minute. He was also really helpful in making sure we had everything we needed for our stay(including a great blender and coffee maker!). The house is in a perfect neighborhood that is quiet and tucked away with no road noise. Surrounded by trees, it's like living in a really fancy tree house. We spent most of our time out on the deck which gets a nice amount of sun and is a beautiful spot to sit and enjoy the birds.. I'd only mention to others what is also in the listing about the heat. We stayed in the winter and there is a chill in the morning and evening, which we personally really enjoyed but probably isn't for everyone. Also with the amount of cooking we did we wished there was a dishwasher but again, not really a big deal for us but maybe for others. Overall can't say enough great things about the house and owner who was so helpful, we had a great stay and hope to stay again!

A stay in a Tree House

We loved this property. It was a nice home with a spectacular view. There was a lovely deck where we could relax and enjoy being in the treep tops. Our bed were comfortable. We got a bit cool and the owner brought us some blankets. John, the owner was very easy to deal with and quickly responded to our calls. We really liked him and recommend him and his house to anyone.

Perfect Getaway in the Treetops!

My husband and I (and our daughter) enjoyed our stay overlooking the treetops in Mill Valley! Super clean and charming! A place to park our car and a perfect spot to use as a 'base of operations' for exploring Mill Valley, Muir Woods, San Francisco and Sonoma Valley vineyards. After a long trip from Palm Springs, it was such a thoughtful surprise to walk into the cottage that first evening and discover a rose and bottle of wine awaiting us as a welcome on Valentines Day! John was a most responsive host. We would love to plan to come back again!

Perfect “wow factor” the moment we opened the door

I surprised my family with a trip for New Years and we loved the cabin! Driving up through forest and winding road was exciting and from the moment we opened the door, everyone was thrilled. Beautiful space, huge windows, great decor mix of modern and rustic, super clean bathroom, bedrooms and kitchen, and we had a lot of fun cooking on the very fancy professional style stove. Everything we needed from blowup mattress and extra blankets (yes pack some cozy socks!) to baking sheets, BBQ and dishes for New Years dinner was there. Loved it, and would be excited to come back in winter or summer! Thank you :)
