Riverfront, renovated Inlet Cove cottage

49 Sunlet Bend is a lovely, riverfront cottage in popular neighborhood with access to Inlet Cove community amenities such as dock and pool.
You'll enjoy sweeping views and perfect sunsets from our screened-in porch or professionally landscaped backyard and if you're lucky, you might be home when the pods of dolphins swim by on their way to Captain Sam's inlet where they strand feed.
You can cast a line or drop a crab pot right from the Inlet Cove community dock, also equipped with a kayak launcher. We can assist with scheduling a charter boat to pick you up right from the dock or rent some kayaks for your stay (no personal boats allowed please). Sparkling Inlet Cove pool access is included (typically open mid April to mid October).
Take a short walk or quick bike ride and you'll be at the ocean's edge in no time.(0.5mi) There are 10 miles of glorious beach to enjoy and you can ride your bike right on the hard packed sand.
This lovely cottage is comfortably equipped. Three bedrooms and two baths ensures plenty of space for your group. A newly renovated kitchen, complete with a wet bar, breakfast area, and dining room. Spacious living area with flat screen tv. There is a gas grill off the back deck as well.

No pets allowed. Non-smoking only.

When you stay with ESPM for 3-21 nights (not available in low season, late Oct to mid Mar)you will receive a valuable credit of up to $210 (amount dependent on length of stay) to use toward beach gear, bikes, etc. Credit may not be available for last minute bookings, 48 hours notice is required.

As our guest, you will have access to 5 Championship Golf Courses – including The Ocean Course – the location of the 2012 PGA Championship; The Kiawah Island Resort Tennis Center - #1 ranked by Tennis Resorts Online; Free Wireless Internet Access; Our Local Property Management team is on hand in case of emergencies and their friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable staff can assist you with any needs throughout your stay. Additional housekeeping services are also available during your stay (mid-week clean or daily trash and tidy).
If you have the time take a short trip (35 Minutes) to Charleston America's most charming southern City. There you'll find world class dining, shopping and lots of history to explore.

Upon booking you will be sent a rental agreement to review and complete online. Your booking is not confirmed until this document has been submitted.

Town of Kiawah Island Business License RBL19-005805, max occupancy 6, 3 driveway parking spots, fines issued by Town of $150 and up for additional vehicles and prohibited vehicles, guests are responsible for fines incurred

Great location and view

Aside from the decor being a bit dated, the property was well kept with a stunning view of the water. It was perfect location to the pool and dock. We really enjoyed staying here and would recommend it for families.

This property is well appointed and clean. The river/marsh views are wonderful. We saw several dolphins off the back deck. The location is close to amenities and great things to do.

Tranquil bliss

This villa is absolutely amazing. As soon as you open the door for the first time to the last when it's checkout time, you are awestruck by the beauty of the Kiawah River. The dolphins swimming, birds flying, and the other abundant wildlife roaming just lets your mind be at peace. Even if you don't go to the beach, the Villa offers everything you need to be still and reset. I look forward to going back very soon!

Wonderful view and close to everything

This is the second time that we have stayed at this house and we loved it. The view was spectacular--we watched dolphins in the river and enjoyed sunsets from our back porch. The location is ideal. We were just a short walk or bike ride to the beach and very close to the pool. The property manager was incredibly responsive; she answered inquiries in a very short time. We would definitely rent this property again.

Great trip!

We had a great time at 49 Sunlet Bend. The cottage has a beautiful view of the Kiawah River and is about a 10 minute walk to the beach. The kitchen had plenty of tools/pans to prepare meals but the cabinets/layout was a bit dated compared to other cottages. Also, ceiling fans in the bedrooms would have been a plus. Overall it is a nice place to stay on the island. We would book it again because of the view alone. You can’t beat it!

Vacation birthday week

We enjoyed our stay on Kiawah Island, and look forward to returning! The kitchen was stocked with almost everything necessary, would have liked a cookie sheet. The view from the deck is lovely, and the sunsets are spectacular! Two things I would suggest for improvement would be insulating / lined curtains to allow dressing in the bedroom without fear of neighbors peering in as well as to keep the heat slash cold out. We had some unusually low 20 + degree nights, and the heat pump was not able to keep the house above 65 degrees. The other suggestion was to supply larger bath towels. Very relaxing and close to everything!

We were not happy to find someone's car permanently parked underneath the house - one of the major perks of renting in Inlet Cove of which we could not avail ourselves. We were also disappointed that there was a Ring device installed at the entry door. Ring is essentially spywear allowing the owner to see, hear and record from the front door. We feel this is an invasion of the renter's privacy which should not be allowed.

Great House and Location

Our very first trip to Kiawah. We rented this property for 10 days at the end of February. Started off with another couple, and then it was only us. The house was clean and comfortable. It was great that each couple had their own private bath. The kitchen is very well stocked with just about every utensil/item needed for cooking, which we took advantage of. The beds are very comfortable. The view of the river is spectacular (sunsets!), and we did site some dolphins. We rented bikes, and very much enjoyed taking them on the short ride to the beach to ride along the ocean. There were only a few negatives which is why we did not give this place 5 stars. Noise! The one weekend we were there was lovely but come Mon-Fri all we heard all day was construction across the river and road paving in the development. When you are on vaca you don't want to hear that backup "beep-beep" all day. One morning it started as early as 6:50 a.m.! I guess this is the problem with booking "off season". We did not opt for any housekeeping, thinking we would freshen up as needed however except for a non-working vacuum, there was nothing in the unit to clean the floors, not even a stand-up broom. So if you plan to be there more than a week, you may want to bring your own or spring for some cleaning. We absolutely recommend renting this unit for 2 couples or a small family and wouldn't be surprised if we rent it again!

Although our particular cottage is in need of refurbishing as done by other cottages , the view at this property far surpasses most. We enjoyed the unobstructed view of daily activities of birds and marine life from our deck. In addition, the location was also very convenient to the beach, community pool, and other Kiawah activities.
