Amazing Beach Retreat Close to Center Street~ Hudson House

One of Folly's Best! Hudson House is a lovely newly constructed 3 bedroom 3.5 bath home for the Folly Beach visitor. Owned and loved by the same people who bring you Beach Maverick you will also be sure to love this two story modern beachy retreat. This house is only half a block from Center Street where you will find delicious restaurants, funky shops, unique bars and nightlife. It is also less than a five minute walk to the beach. As soon as you pull up you will be welcomed by a large front porch complete with traditional haint blue paint on the ceiling and a comfy bed swing. Once inside you will find an open floor plan that allows for happy family gatherings as you prepare meals and talk about the day around the TV. There is one large bedroom downstairs with a king size bed and an ensuite bath. Upstairs are two large bedrooms with king size beds and en suite baths as well. They are separated by a comfortable lounge area where you and your family and friends can play games, read a good book or watch a great movie on TV. You can also catch up on your laundry! Each bedroom has a TV. There is an outdoor shower and the entire yard is fenced in so Fido can have room to play. Up to three well behaved house-broken and flea treated dogs under 100 pounds combined are welcome. Please include the size and breed when you inquire. All photos are current and accurately depict the property. Please book with confidence. This property is licensed by the city of Folly Beach as a vacation rental: LIC005066. Because of the potential of fraud we would not recommend booking a property not licensed by the city of Folly Beach as a vacation rental.

Wonderful for Groups/Couples

This property is incredibly convenient to the beach and Folly downtown. With 3 King beds and 3 en suite bathrooms (plus a half bath off the living room) this place is perfect for a group get away or couples getaway.

The perfect girls trip getaway

I stayed at the Hudson house with 4 of my girlfriends for my bachelorette party and we were so happy with the place. The house itself is so cute and right next to the beach access path and a short walked to the beach itself. The properties managers were also sweet and attentive to detail. We definitely all agreed we would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Wonderful Thanksgiving Stay

Many think of Folly Beach for summer vacations. We all loved our Thanksgiving visit. This house was ideally located near restaurants, bars, and shopping. A few blocks and you were at the beach via the adjacent beach path. The home was immaculate and the perfect space for us to gather as well as find our own space to relax.

Charleston style with beach ambiance!

We love this house!!! The location near center street is so handy but the house is so well I solares we never heard any of the noise from downtown. We have never stayed in a cleaner place! It must be newly remodeled! The floor plan is perfect for three couples and the kitchen was very well stocked!!! Thank you for a lovely stay!

Great home close to the beach & all amenities.

This is an exceptional property! Beautiful, modern, well equipped with modern appliances, superb bathrooms with amazing water pressure, open floor plan and great light! We enjoyed the porch - also furnished with dining table, chairs and huge porch swing, and our doggy loved the fenced yard. Covered parking out of the sun was also excellent, and the house is in a super location just couple blocks to the beach, shops and restaurants! All in all definitely 5 stars, and highly recommend!

Week long getaway to Folly Beach

We loved staying at this beautiful home. The huge porch swing is what originally grabbed my attention when looking for a rental in the area but once we arrived the house was perfection. One block off Center Street and steps from Low Life, Chico Feo and Bert’s Market makes the location great. The beach access cut through is on the other side of the fenced in parking area (which is clutch considering parking can be an issue in some areas) and quickly takes you to the pier. All three bedrooms are nice sized with their own bathrooms and tvs. Downstairs is the largest bedroom and their is an additional half bath off the kitchen. Under the house is additional entertaining space for when the weather gets a little warmer. The porch is where we had coffee and drinks and enjoyed the ambience of the neighborhood. You are directly across the street from a golf cart rental outfit which next time we might avail ourselves of but honestly everything is easily accessible on foot. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a beautifully appointed home with a relaxed vibe on Folly.

Great choice in Folly

Overall this is a very nice house with some room for improvements. The location is perfect though and the kitchen is well equipped. The front porch was a great bonus to the house with a bed swing and rocking chairs as well as an additional glass top table. The property was generally clean and tidy upon arrival and the housekeeper Layle was kind , friendly and informative. As a vacation rental property owner myself my suggestions would be better quality furniture (barstools, LR furniture, and master dresser moldy odor in drawers), bed linens and blankets for the fall/winter guests and perhaps a bluetooth speaker and cable. The timed door locks upon arrival and departure I guess are understandable on some level but really kind of set a strict tone counter to the Folly vibe I have come to love over my previous 6 recent visits to the island. There is a golf cart rental right across the street which I highly recommend . Finally, for a home this nice to be "next level" it should be house washed more frequently to address a season of blowing sand ( inside windows)and messy renters (decks)and unavoidable mold and mildew. (exterior ceilings deck railings and shady areas etc.)At the end of day, our family and friends had a terrific week and the Gamecocks beating Clemson was icing on the cake! See you soon

Great location!

Rental location can't be beat. Close to all the restaurants and beach. Patio was great place to have dinner/coffee/drinks! House was clean and check-in/out process was fast and convenient. Only comment would be the showers in the upstairs bathrooms have very,very little pressure. We all ended up showering in the master bathroom shower. Otherwise, if you are looking for a cozy spot close to everything, this is your place!

Nice place to visit

This was our first SC visit. Folly Beach is a smaller beach area but close to so much within a short drive. Very community based. I feel it’s great for younger couples. We enjoyed our visit.

A gorgeous and comfortable escape!

We fell in love with everything about this gorgeous, functional, meticulously clean, and beautifully decorated oasis! Hudson house is close to everything, but the way the house is situated, it felt like we were tucked away in our own private paradise.

Location!

Perfectly located! This house was just beautifully done. We already miss the porch swing. Our family made great memories at the beach ( a five min walk) take second street down. Nice walk :)

Great House

Beautiful home. Myself and three adult children stayed for the week. Great layout for all to be comfortable. Great porch overlooking the path to the beach. Shaded, super safe and across the street from great restaurants. Would definitely stay again.

We loved this home. Very easy walk to the beach and to restaurants, etc. Home was comfortable and very clean. Fully updated! Our only complaint was that cable TV was out and maintenance was not able to fix it. So we didn’t have TV for our trip :/ Management was very easy to communicate with and responsive! Would love to visit again!

Excellent location and gorgeous home

This home is wonderful, looks brand new. It was a retreat for our family. We struggled to go explore because the home was so comfortable and well appointed. The walk to the beach and all restaurants was close, safe and easy. We will be back. Lovely home.

Absolutely Perfect

The house was perfect in every way; not only clean and welcoming but the beds and pillows were comfortable and the home was the perfect getaway for a family vacation. Privacy but easy access to both the beach and all Folly has to offer. We didn’t even need the golf carts we rented. We are planning to rent it again for our next family trip.

Great house in a great location!

Wanted a spot close to everything on Folly for a girl’s weekend trip and this house was perfect! We were able to rent a golf cart right across the street and drive that or walk anywhere we went the whole weekend. House to newer and super cute, as well as, clean! Also loved the porch!

Folly Beach Family Getaway

We rented this property for our 3 families to meet and relax. The property was absolutely outstanding. This property was definitely accurately depicted. The 3 separate bathrooms for each bedroom, plus another half bath was perfect for each couple. The house was clean and had everything we needed. It was so nice sitting on the front porch to visit with a beautiful breeze. TV's in every single room was a nice added feature as well as the washer and dryer. We were delighted to stay at this property. Thank you for your hospitality and sharing your beautiful home with us.
