Located on Sanibel Island, our unit at the Sanddollar is a spacious 1,660 sq. ft. Luxuriously furnished gulf front condominium. Two bedrooms plus den, 2 full bathrooms. Our unit has a 26' screened-in porch overlooking the ocean. Exceptional view of the ocean from the living room and master bedroom. Master bedroom has a king sized bed, queen bed in the guest room and a full sized sofa sleeper in den. Den closes off for privacy. Saturday to Saturday rentals.

The Sanddollar is a low density complex consisting of three buildings, twelve units in each building. Location is centrally located on the island - Middle Gulf Drive. The complex is very well maintained, with lush tropical landscaping surrounding buildings. We have three tennis courts, a nice sized swimming pool and two patio areas with gas barbecue grills. Property on the beach.

We have a strict limit of six people in our unit. No pets & no smoking please.

Wonderful Place!

We just had a lovely time in Sanibel staying here. The condo had everything we needed. It was just a short walk to the beach. Beautiful place! We hope to stay again soon.

Wonderful family stay

The condo was beautiful and clean overlooking a wonderful view of the Gulf. Short walk down to the beach which was not crowded, even on a holiday weekend. Will definitely be back to this spot.

Relaxing Beach Stay

Great property that was on the beach and close to all other needs. Very comfortable stay and all the necessities provided. Joan was accessible and responsive during our stay. Bike paths made it perfect for riding our E bikes as our primary mode of transportation around the island; can go from one end to other on bikes!

This property does not disappoint. The place is roomy and clean. We loved that there were three water stations so there was no sand in the condo. Also, the views were excellent with private beach. This is a must stay.

Lovely stay in Joan's condo

My husband and I stayed for ten nights at Joan's Sand Dollar condo. We could not have asked for a better view. Our favorite time of the day was sitting on the terrace drinking coffee and looking out on the Gulf. The condo was clean and well-equipped. We plan to return!

Easy beach access

My husband and I stayed for 2 weeks and still wanted to stay longer! We ate our meals on the Lanai and loved the view and sound of the golf. We rode our bikes daily ...bike path just across the street. The pool was heated to the perfect temperature...and was sparkling clean. The beach was not too crowded and just a short walk away. We hope to return next year.

Wonderfull Condo

My family and I spent a week on Sanibel island. We loved the condo. It is in a great location and has a great view. The home is beautifully decorated. I was well equipped and had everything we needed. The kids enjoyed the beach toys and my wife appreciated the beach umbrella. Joan was great to deal with. We've stayed at a lot of places and would not hesitate to come back here.

Best Vacation Ever

My wife and two boys (10 and 8) had the pleasure of staying at this condo for a week and it was nothing short of amazing. The condo was exceptionally clean and had everything (and then some) we needed to feel right at home. The view from the oversized balcony was nothing short of jaw dropping. The small complex made for some quite beach / pool time so if your looking to avoid the typical beach crowds (at least in June), this is your spot. The beach was great for shelling and the ocean was clear enough for snorkeling (my wife’s favorite thing to do). Location wise, this condo sits in the heart of everything Sanibel (highly recommend a bike rental while staying) so restaurants and shopping were all near by. We’ve vacationed up and down the coast of Florida as a family and I’ve never enjoyed a stay as much as this one. If I could give a 6 star rating, I would. Cannot wait to come back for a second stay at Joan’s condo!

Excellent family vacation

Since this was my first time to Sanibel, I can't help but hold this condo at the Sanddollar as the standard. We loved it! The condo itself is comfortable and, although the pictures capture what it looks like, the actualities are even better. It's comfortable, incredibly well-stocked, easy to get in and out of, and has lovely views! Since we flew in, we especially appreciated the beach equipment at our disposal in the handy storage area below. The grills at the pool were pristine and easy to use. We had family in other condos, and they were fine too, but our internet was faster in B-202, and I felt like we had more games and beach implements than the other condos. The owner was exceptionally easy to communicate with and work with, and I thought the price was quite reasonable as well. Bravo!

Gorgeous views, everything we needed inside!

My husband and I, as well as my sister and her husband, stayed at the Sanddollar condo over the 4th of July holiday week and had a fabulous time. The moment you walk into the unit, the views of the ocean just call to you. The huge screened in deck/porch is the perfect place for breakfast, for a book, for watching a passing storm, or just listening to the waves. A ceiling fan on the porch makes it super comfortable, even on the hottest days. Inside we had everything we needed. The kitchen was totally stocked with all the pots, pans and dishes necessary for making a big meal, there was enough room in the living area for everyone to spread out, and the bedrooms were great. Only downside was the mattress in the master has seen better days. The unit also has its own full size washer and dryer, which is super convenient. Outside, the condo grounds can't be beat. It is a low density complex, so there were never too many folks around. The elevator always seemed to be on our floor when we needed it. Also, the pool is just next to the unit's building and was the perfect place to cool off after a morning at the beach. The grounds also have numerous outdoor showers and hose pipes for rinsing feet and shells. Finally, the barbecue grills next to the pool were so clean and modern they almost felt brand new. I'm usually one that avoids using community grills, but these were an exception to my typically hard and fast rule! And I'd be remiss if I didn't mention all the great animals we saw -- rabbits are all over the island, and several seem to live right on the property. There's a beautiful bush in front of the building that attracts gorgeous butterflies of all colors. And adorable lizards roam about, as well. The beach can't be beat. Never super crowded -- even on the holiday itself. TONS of shells. We saw dolphins and pelicans and all sorts of birds every day. Just an amazing experience all around. Would recommend this unit to anyone!

View, location, spacious

Great place if you want to relax with the family. The lanai is big and it’s a spacious condo. The view is fantastic and complex & condo clean. The teens had friends staying at a big resort down the beach but preferred this condo/pool bc it wasn’t hectic with people. Yet they could walk beach & buy pizza/ice cream then come back. Would stay again. Also lots of items to use in beach closet for all ages. Joan was a responsive host. She cared that everything was just right for our stay.

Our experience overall was nothing short of fantastic! Each morning we woke up with a perfect view of the Gulf, the beach, and to the peaceful sound of waves. Total bliss! Great condo on the beach! We ate every meal outside on the huge screened porch.

Huge condo over looking the beach! We've stayed in many places in Sanibel. It was time to get our 14 year old daughter her own bedroom away from her 2 little brothers and the den was her private getaway. The only complaint was that the bedding on the hideaway was dirty and had sand on the mattress. We did some housekeeping and all was fine. The back porch was the gem of the condo, twice as big as any other we have seen. We ate every meal out there, watched every sunrise, and we played cards & checkers on the patio table. Great condo, I would recommend it to others.
