Perfectly located near Dominical Beach and convenient for visiting Corcovado reserve to the South and Mario Antonio to the north.
The tropical cabin has a stocked kitchen, private pool, wrap-around deck, private garden with fruit trees and tropical flowers, hammocks, and stunning panoramic views of the jungle with a peekaboo of the ocean! White-faced capuchin monkeys, toucans, coatis, tree frogs, butterflies, and hummingbirds are regular visitors.

What’s Nearby:
Located 9 minutes from Dominical Beach, which is known for its surfing. In this fun little community, you will find a range of restaurants, bars, shops, massage, and surf lessons. Parque Reptilandia, 11 minutes away, is a large well-maintained reptile park with a variety of species. Nauyaca Waterfalls 10 minutes up the road is a must-see, beautiful cascading waterfall with a natural swimming hole. It is about a 55-minute drive North to Manuel Antonio Park. 1 hour 15 minutes drive south to Sierpe, for the ferry to Corcovado reserve and Cano island. Drive 50 minutes up the mountain to the pleasant town of San Isidro de General.

A listed rental already occupied

After hours of travelling and having received multiple confirmations rental was ready, we arrived at location to find it was already occupied by a couple and an infant. Place was a mess. Facing the fact that we no longer had a place to stay for the upcoming nights, we contacted management to find an acceptable option for a family of 8. Nothing came out of it and we had to arrange rental via another platform at a much more expensive price.

Pool Wasn’t functional.

After a months of looking forward to this stay, we made a long drive and looked forward to it so much. Upon our arrival the kids were shattered to find out the pool was not full and had some kind of art project on it. We booked months in advance and upon arrival we were told that, no, the pool would not be available. After I emailed to express our dissatisfaction, the next two days had 2-4 people working on the art project covering the pool. Not moving the project to one of the many other surfaces around, but working on it. After two days I complained that we didn’t feel comfortable sitting on the porch or around the property with no privacy and people working to get it ready for the next people checking in. I wanted to love this place, but when you’re 10 mins from the beach and had the promise of pool to cool off in, it really sullied our time. The house is beautiful, the jungle setting is amazing, the town is cute, the market is mainly expat hippies and not worth the time. Make sure to stock up before you get there as the supermarket in town is not well stocked and quite overpriced, like shopping in a corner store, compared to a larger sized supermarket. It’s ok for some things but the majority is better done before you arrive. If the pool was available this would be an easy 5 star location, and house. The kitchen is well stocked, blender, juicer, tortilla press, multiple ways to make coffee. We saw parrots and toucans and the sunsets and sunrises are amazing. There’s some good restaurants/sodas around Dominical. The beaches and waterfalls in the area are amazing too. There’s no air conditioner but the multiple fans around keep the house comfortable, and the outdoor BBQ and large deck and table make eating outdoors a nice place. I would recommend this place as I’m sure the pool issue is one that we and maybe the people after us would experience, and if it weren’t for that it would be perfect.

Magical Experience

This stay is an absolute dream. It’s peer magic! The location is perfect. It’s close enough to Dominical to hang there for a day, but far enough away to where you could spend days without seeing a single soul if you wanted. Every single part of this property has been carefully and thoughtfully put together. From the outdoor tub, to the walking paths, to the pool and all the way to the smallest details such as having any and every kitchen tool you could ever need! Our favorite part was watching the sun rise and set over the jungle. We LOVED this location! It was perfect! Thank you for such a relaxing and stress free experience! We will be back!

Magique!

Par où commencer? Nous y avons séjourné 2 nuits et c'était beaucoup trop court. L'emplacement et la vue sont imbattables. Le chalet est très bien équipé et tout à été pensé pour le confort des voyageurs. La décoration est magnifique et plusieurs petits détails démontrent que les propriétaires ont le soucis d'aller au delà du strict minimum. Tout était très propre et bien entretenu. Les nombreux espaces de vie extérieur sont confortables et bien parfaits pour la détente. La piscine est magnifique et propre. Une mention spéciale au jardinier qui s'occupe du magnifique jardin tropical qui entoure le bâtiment. Quel aménagement magnifique! Je recommande absolument cet endroit pour des vacances en famille. Merci à toute l'équipe!

Absolutely Amazing

This place was a dream come true!! It is only 5-10 minutes from an amazing beach in Dominical and the people there were so nice and inviting. To be able to go to the beach at sunset and then only have a short drive back to a private secluded home was super special. I will highly recommend this home to anyone who wants to experience the jungle and the amazing Costa Rican culture. I will definitely be back to the Edge of the World!!!

Perfect location and views

Couldn’t of had a better time. Close to town but far enough to be super relaxing and right in the heart of the wildlife. Daily toucan visits, sloths, monkeys, agouti, coati and the elusive blue morphis butterfly. Great place Thank you

The perfect retreat

My husband and I enjoyed sleeping with the fresh air and sounds of nature. I took a bath in an outdoor tub that had hot water hooked up to it. We saw banana trees and pretty flowers on the property. We had everything we needed to cook meals. We sat out on the deck and watched the light turn to darkness in the mountains. It was a truly relaxing experience.

unacceptable considering price

Colorful house is true, location is great, the rest much to be desired. Here are my points : 1) directions are inadequate and misleading 2) table on deck to have meals outside is missing 3) both bathrooms smell/stink as sinks are not equipped with traps and no ventilation pipes detected 4) The fact that guests are invited not to discard used toilet paper into the bowl is highly unusual and quite unsanitary 5) outside shower would be nice 6) kitchen accessories including tin cutlery inadequate as far as quality is concerned 7) Only plastic chairs throughout the house 8) "Sleeps 10" is a stretch, certainly if most occupants are adults 7) If guests are looking for youth hostel/camping site/Peace Corps feel, this is the house for you. Considering the rather steep price inclusive fees, higher and better overall quality and attention to detail should be expected.
