Oceanfront villa just remodeled, steps from the beach, sizable pool, and hot tub!

Pristine, comfy condo lets you go to sleep to the sound of the waves. Scenic ocean views from every room and balcony. This oceanfront villa has two sides accessible through separate doors. The A side includes fully equipped kitchen, living room with flatscreen TV and queen-size sleeper sofa, and a master bedroom with a king-size bed. Flatscreen, vanity, and private bathroom with tiled, walk-in shower. The B side of the villa includes a guest bedroom with two full-size beds and a private bathroom with walk-in shower. Free Wi-Fi and cable TV.

On the ground floor, you’ll find many amenities, including a seasonally heated pool, plenty of lounge chairs, hot tub, and baby pool as well as outdoor grills, fitness center, indoor pool, a picnic deck, and a private boardwalk to the beach. A short walk to the Fazio golf course and tennis courts.

The Villamare condo community is known for its luxuriant and beautifully kept landscaping. Part of the Palmetto Dunes Plantation of Hilton Head Island, the development is walkable and has meandering bike paths as well. You’ll be mid-island, close to golf, tennis, pickleball, theater, and excellent restaurants. Boutiques, cafes, bars, and nightclubs are all near Villamare.

Please note E-bikes are not allowed.
October 15, 2023 - April 30, 2024, the main pool will be closed. The new serenity/adult pool and main pool will be under construction. The indoor pool and fitness center will remain open.

Parking notes: There is parking available for a fee and charges will apply for 2 vehicles.



Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 25 years of age to book. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.

Good spot in Palmetto Dunes

Cute property. We loved riding bikes everywhere. Loved being right on the beach. The pools were nice. The view is great. Could stock with a few more things (towels, cleaning supplies, kitchen items). We enjoyed our stay.

Great views.

We loved the adult pool and hot tub and the grill area. The unit had wonderful views of the beach and ocean from every window. The shades In the living room were great and allowed viewing both sunrise and sunsets a treat. Highly recommend this rental!

Perfect week on the beach

This was the second time we stayed in the unit. You can't beat the location on the beach and in the heart of Palmetto Dunes. Watch the sunrise from your bedroom, take easy walks on the beach, and enjoy pool time in the large pool or new adults only pool. Bike ride to restaurants and entertainment. And relax in the comfort of a home away from home.

Sister’s Weekend Getaway

We had a wonderful time. Thank you for everything! We will definitely come back. It is peaceful here, the people are wonderful, beach was nearby.. we went on walks and enjoyed the property and resort. Miss it already. Thank you!

Very pleasant

Everything was as expected. Clean very quiet place. We couldn’t let our son come because they will only allow as many parking spaces as bedrooms. Although it states it sleeps 8 two bedroom with a pullout couch in living area. There was plenty of parking so couldn’t understand the reasoning . Overall enjoyed the stay.

Very nice with a couple minor gripes

Very nice space, loved the full size washer and dryer. The only two gripes we had were, we were stuck inside due to the weather and the TVs are very old and we could not hook our Rokus to them to watch movies. The only other thing was neither shower had much pressure.

Great Renovations with Small Changes Needed

Overall we really enjoyed our stay! The renovations to the kitchen and bathroom were very nice and the view was great. I also appreciated some of the little considerations like providing bottles of hand soap and extra laundry pods. We enjoyed the indoor pool and sitting out by the outdoor pool. The only issues we ran into were the bathtub and bed in the master bedroom. The bathtub faucet seems to have some kind of sediment in it leading the bathwater to be kind of murky green-ish. And then the master bed itself was very saggy and unsupportive. It was just the two of us, so we were able to move into the second bedroom and sleep well, but the mattress really needs to be replaced. If those two things were addressed, would definitely return!

1407 Villamare

We love Hilton Head Island and Villamare. This was our first time staying in this particular condominium unit. To start with the positives: -The condo was nicely updated and clean. -The full-size washer and dryer are amazing. -There is a perfect view of the ocean from all the sliding glass doors and windows. -There is plenty of space for a family of 6 like mine. -The large kitchen sink is great and the kitchen had most of what we needed. -The tile floor is great for keeping clean and swept, so no gross carpet to deal with. -The Wi-Fi connection is great so we did not have any trouble in that area. -The pool area is fabulous, although we barely used the main pool because the water was pretty chilly. -The walk to the ocean is less than 5 minutes from the condo to the sand…some of the time is lost waiting on the elevator, which can be very slow. The main downside was that we had a problem with the bathtub and were trying to work with management to get it resolved, but we were unable to use it during our stay. Overall, we had a great time and will be back to Villamare in 2023.

Elevator doesn't worn.

Make sure you don't mind climbing stairs if you rent this condo. Our week long stay started with us arriving to the condo to find out the only elevator for the building wasn't working with an unknown time of fixing it (the condo is on the fourth floor). The elevator wasn't even looked at by repair people until Monday. It didn't get repaired until Thursday evening. The air in the condo stopped working midweek and took 2 days for them to get someone out to repair it. The condo was nice enough but not cleaned well. The kitchen is very well stocked. Also there are minimal amount of towels so I would recommend bringing your own if you don't want to do laundry everytime you take a shower. Also for most of the week the hot tub didn't work either. The maintenance of the resort itself is less than desirable. Also, vacasa staff are horrible to work with. They sound nice and like they are going to get things done, but there is no follow through at all. Run!! Find somewhere that is not rented through. by Vacasa.

Fall getaway

The property location is great. Proximity to beach is a stones throw away and view from balcony’s is beautiful. Beaches on Hilton Head are amazing! Pool area is nice as is hot tub although it needs updates; the building in general is very dated and older and elevator is sketchy at best. The unit has been updated in the last few years, but it has very tired/dated furnishings which show a good amount of wear and tear. The beds are VERY uncomfortable, especially the king in master suite...the mattress sags terribly in the middle and lacks support and was hard to sleep on. Previous reviews talk about the mattresses being sub-par and we had hoped the owners would have updated them, but apparently not. The kitchen had a good amount of dishes, glasses, silverware and pots and pans, although those too showed wear and tear (specifically older Teflon pans that were scratched.) There were no spices, cooking oil, salt/pepper at all in the unit...it was bare of any type of cooking condiment. Given we were there during covid, we wanted to cook/eat-in and were not comfortable doing so. Lastly, we used the soaking tub in the master bath which produced a greenish/brown bath water that stained towels when drying off and there was an overall musty smell in the master bathroom around the sink. Overall, the unit is located well, views are awesome, the beachfront is amazing, and the unit has been updated. The furnishings/mattresses need to be updated, and the water issue needs to be addressed as it too, was mentioned in previous reviews.

Great location

This is a nice updated condo in a great location in Palmetto Dunes. Villamare is right past security in PD, near the Marriott resort. This unit has a nice partial ocean view. Full size washer & dryer, updated and clean. 2 balcony’s with seating to enjoy the views. All the kitchen items you need. The TV’s offer cable, but not streaming services. Queen beds are nice & soft, however the King bed was hard as a rock. The pool is nice size, with plenty of lounge chairs. however there isnt much shade or any tables/chairs to sit at. The unit also has a great borrowed item bin where you can leave your discarded beach items which is awesome. Overall this is a nice unit in a nice community. Great place to stay in HHI

Great ocean front view

The Villamare property was spacious and well appointed. It was a real pleasure to sit on the balcony and listen to the ocean waves as we had breakfast. I highly recommend this property.

Please is beautiful

Great location, clean and updated. Beach is perfect. Pool is huge. Two hot tubs were overrun with little kids though - parents letting them play for an hour plus.
