Our beach front condo will be your home away from home and features amazing views of our sandy beach, turquoise waters and Buck Island. Relax on the beach and enjoy the breeze of the tropical trade winds or by the poolside with it's historic 1700's trademark sugar mill. Sugar Beach offers the best in total relaxation as well as the perfect location for activities and exploration of a great island full of surprises.

The large private patio looking out on the sandy beach, and the turquoise and emerald waters is a special treat. Just off the beach are seagrass gardens, home to juvenile marine life and sea turtles.

With beach, palm trees, pool, resort clubhouse, Kayaks and tennis courts all onsite, it will allow for hours of fun and activity or just do nothing at all. Free Wireless internet and satellite TV can keep you connected to the rest of the world if you choose.

Sugar Beach is the ideal central location for the active and adventurous. St Croix is rich in history and its natural beauty is sure to please all ages and interests, including scuba diving, snorkeling, sailing, hiking, horseback riding, kayaking and so much more. Enjoy the island beauty on your own or with one of several guided tours and excursion (we are happy to assist you). You can explore St. Croix on land, sea or underwater. 3 golf courses, deep sea fishing, rainforest hikes, Rum Distilleries and botanical gardens are waiting to fill your days or you can just lay on the beach and do nothing at all.

At night there are numerous restaurants and night clubs and local entertainment options as well as a beautiful Casino.

Sugar Beach is close proximity to restaurants, grocery stores and shopping. On site management staff is happy to help with recommendations or assistance to make your vacation one to remember.

PLEASE NOTE: Summer months are considered off season and a discount is reflected in our nightly rate. In recent years the Caribbean has been experiencing Sargassum (seagrass). This is affecting ALL of the Caribbean, Barbados,Aruba, Mexico, Florida, etc. We have a beach crew that works hard to keep the beach as clean as possible. However, there may be times when it comes in so strong that the crew can't keep up. We like to inform our guests because the Sargassum can pile up and potentially make our ocean front not enjoyable. If the Sargassum comes on to our beach, there are many other nearby beaches that will be clear. Sargassum can come in quickly and leave as quickly as it comes in. It all depends on the tide and the wind.
The Sargassum is unpredictable and out of our control. Because of this, we cannot issue refunds as a result of Sargassum.

The communication was easy and clear on the rental. The place was well stocked and very convenient to all areas of the island. We found the bathrooms nice and the beds easy to sleep in. We also saw the "attack gecko" a couple of mornings on our balcony.

Beautiful place right on the beach!!

We loved our trip to St Croix! Couldn’t have been happier with the island, the accommodations and the great hosts. The food, excursion and rental car recommendations provided by Sheri & Pat were also superb. I highly recommend this property for any future St Croix travelers!

Perfect location, balcony hangs over the water, 8 minute drive to Christiansted, full kitchen if you want to cook and great snorkeling right off beach! Hosts are lovely and prompt communication.

Great place to stay!!

Wonderful property for our stay on St Croix. Very clean condo and all the utilities we needed to feel right at home! The location was perfect to explore the whole island. Hosts, Shari & Pat, were very responsive to questions and provided alot of great information ahead of time so we could prepare for our trip. Would definitely stay here again…hopefully sometime soon!!

Great stay!

Wonderful stay in Sugar Beach! Condo was well furnished, lots of beach items (towels, coolers, snorkels, etc), kitchen was fully stocked including basic spices and great rum + coffee bars! We had a lovely time on the calm beach within the reef, and found short drives for when our kids wanted more waves. Wifi worked well for our work calls! Definitely recommend booking for a family trip

Great spot

The place was nice and the condo amenities were great. The beach out front had a lot of seaweed when we were there but it was still nice to walk ton. Very short drive to Christiansted and plenty of other beaches to explore. Cane bay was probably the nicest. The unit had great AC (a lot don’t) which saved us being there in the summer.

Such a special place!

We are repeat guests and I wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else. The water view from the balcony is spectacular! The condo is very comfortable and well-appointed with a full kitchen, beach and snorkel gear, games, dvds and books. The snorkeling right off the beach never disappoints. Sad to leave and can’t wait to return!

Wonderful Condo

This was a great condo. It was clean and had a wonderful view. Close to town and grocery stores. It is centrally located on the island, so not much more than 30 minutes to get to either end. Communication with the owners was also great!

Beautiful and comfortable

This place was great and exactly as the hosts described. The bed and couch were very comfy and the condo was clean, well stocked, and updated . Views from the gallery were stunning. Neighborhood was quiet and everyone was friendly and welcoming. Sheri and Pat were great hosts, full of recommendations on fun things to do and excellent restaurants to try! 10/10 recommend and we cant wait to visit again!

Family vacation in paradise

We couldn't have asked for a better place to enjoy a family vacation with our college aged children. The location was right on the beach where we were steps away from relaxing on beach chairs, swimming ( or snorkeling) in the clear water. Photos were accurate and the rum bar was a big hit. We enjoyed coffee and evening drinks on the balcony. The pool was nice to enjoy both during the day and at night....very clean! We would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic location and gorgeous views

The location of this property could not have been better. Less than 10 minutes to downtown Christiansted and right on the water. We had many sunrise coffees on the balcony. Plenty of room for our family of four. Sheri and Pat were easy to communicate with and they promptly responded to any questions we had. Highly recommend!

Best view from balcony!!!

We are repeat guests and this condo never disappoints. Balcony hangs over the water and beach offers great swimming and snorkeling. Condo is spacious, clean with many amenities (beach gear, snorkel equipment, tennis rackets). Sitting on the balcony is our favorite spot! Thanks!!

Great condo on the beach

This is a wonderful, comfortable condo. It has a well-stocked kitchen with most of the little things you wish you had when you go on vacation (aluminum foil, ziplocks, seasonings, oil, etc). The beds are comfy, air conditioning works well, and it has an awesome view from the gallery (balcony.) the beach is easily accessed and family friendly. It is fairly shallow for quite a ways out if you have littles, but there is still a lot to see. While snorkeling we saw an octopus, spotted eagle rays, lots of conch and assorted reef fish. This is our second time staying at this condo. Hopefully it will be available the next time we get to visit St. Croix.

Amazing vacation

This was our first time at St Croix and we absolutely loved it! The condo was clean, a great location, and right on the beach. We had the doors by the beach side open and the breeze was so nice. We liked that there were fans in every room especially the bedroom. We did not have to use AC. The hosts were easy to get in touch with and very nice. We felt safe there and the condo was quiet. It was also nice to have parking right by the unit….just check under your car for cats before driving! We would recommend this place to anyone! Thank you Sheri and Pat!

Great condo!

Condo was as described and pictured on VRBO. Sheri and Pat were great to work with and had all the extras for us to use (beach towels, spices, etc). The view from the balcony was spectacular! Unfortunately the beach was unusable as seaweed had covered the beach. The staff worked hard to remove it all week. They said it had just come 2 days prior. This is something that happens sometimes and is hard to predict. It happened in St. Thomas as well later in the week. Even so we had a great time and would highly recommend working with Sheri and Pat!

Terrible fishy smell

Over all it was good besides the terrible 24-7 smell of dead fish, nausea every morning when I went to get our swim cloths off the patio. Not able to sit on the patio except 1 night out of the 10 we stayed. The smell was very strong, I’m a NP use to foul smells and I got nauseous every morning and every evening when we came home. We could not use the beach the whole time we were there the Sargassum was about 2-4 ft on the beach from the shore the whole time. We had to pack up everyday and go to different beaches instead of using ours. Over all it was quiet until the last 2 nights someone was staying below us had the radio blaring till morning. We were able to still sleep with the tv on. The beds in the kids room definitely need to be replaced. Kids said the beds were springy and could feel the springs on the smaller bed. The toilet in the master bedroom side constantly ran. But then when you flushed it makes a high pitch whistling noise: woke my husband up so used the kids one at night. The guest book for things to do around the island definitely needs to be updated, also very rusty. Over all it was nice to have a place to sleep, just wish there wasn’t any Sargassum, even though we kept the doors closed you could still smell it in the house. They did have flippers and ect… that the kids could use,

Summer months can present challenges on island which is reflected in our lower nightly rate. Sargassum has been a problem in recent years in all of the Caribbean, Florida, Mexico, Barbados, Belize, etc. This is mentioned in our listing information. We never know if or when the Sargassum will come in. Unfortunately it floated in during your stay and on rare occasions when it sits on the beach, it can get smelly....we wish everything was perfect for your family. You reached out with questions before and during your stay. We replied quickly. If you mentioned the problem with the toilet at any time during your stay, we would have immediately had it repaired. Our cleaner notified us after your checkout, and the plumber made the simple repair the same day. The Queen bed in the guest bedroom is only 2 years old and a good quality with a foam pillow top. The twin bed is a bit older and rarely used by guests. However, based on your feedback, we will replace the twin bed when we are at our condo next month. We work hard to provide our guests with a nice place to stay while exploring the island we love. And we are sorry that you feel we fell short.

Very comfortable stay!

Great place to stay. Very clean and plenty of space for our family of 6. We felt very safe. Beds were super comfy and tons of towels for all of us. The kitchen was well stocked and allowed me to cook several times. Food isn’t cheap so be prepared for that! We preferred Pueblos over Food Town price and selection wise. The living room AC was out but the owners communicated from the get go and we were fine without, the bedroom units kept it perfect for sleeping. The pool is beautiful with the sugar mill and we even used the grill our last night to grill the fish our son caught deep see fishing. 5 minute drive to downtown Christiansted, we enjoyed hanging out on the boardwalk in the evenings. Easy and beautiful drives to each side of the island as well. Our one complaint was the beach wasn’t what we hoped for due to the seaweed. We were able to get in and swim a bit the first day but the rest of our stay we couldn’t go in the water at all. We did watch small sharks hunting in the seaweed from the porch which was amazing! We couldn’t complain too much about the seaweed though because the view was still stunning and we wanted to explore other beaches as well. Cane Bay and Rainbow Beach were incredible! We also made full use of the snorkel gear and were very grateful to have it. I couldn’t get my kids out of the water with it!

Felt Like Home On Our Family Vacation

As soon as we walked in we felt like it was a place we could call home. We’re a family of six and we had plenty of room for each of us to have our own space and then some. The guys took one bathroom, the girls took the other it was great. Being able to wake up to the sounds of waves and enjoy a cup of coffee on the balcony was a perfect start of each day. The view from the condo is breathtaking, I cannot express how awesome it is as a start and finish point of your day. Other than groceries you have everything you need, I loved the site seeing we did but if you want a “one stop shop” this is your place. The beach is beautiful, I recommend wearing shoes in the water, and it’s great for snorkeling. We enjoyed the pool it is very clean and good size. We saw different types of lizards, birds and hermit crabs exploring around the property which was really cool. There are multiple stores and restaurants walking distance but having a rental car was the best option for us. One thing I was worried about was wifi, being far from home I read certain areas of the island had horrible service I can assure you the wifi is great. I was able to check in with my family daily and FaceTime which we all loved. The location is fabulous, centrally located to everything we did so we never had to drive too far, super convenient. The highlight, Miss Sheri herself, a rare find as a host and such a blessing to us. Communication was great, information detailed, our trip was better because of her. TY ❤️

This family is the type of guests that every owner dreams of hosting. A true pleasure. They are caring, kind and took great care of our condo. We are so thankful.

We have raised four amazing children in Thousand Oaks, California. Now that they are grown, happy, healthy and successful, it's our turn. We fell in love with St Croix while at port on a cruise. The following year we decided to stay for a week. We searched Airbnb and VRBO and came across Sugar Beach. It was love at first site and after a couple more visits we decided to take the plunge and make this purchase. While this condo is new to the rental market we are not. We have managed 3 Airbnb homes as a side job since 2017 and look forward to hosting you at the Shelton Sugar Shack.

We fell in love with St Croix and there is no better location then Sugar Beach. We definitely wanted to be right on the beach where we are steps away from the ocean and can hear the waves. The warm ocean is something that we don't have in California. The view and breeze from the second floor can't be beat. The people are friendly and will make your visit very enjoyable.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

The Condo has everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. If you arrive late and the grocery stores are closed, no worries. We will have coffee, sugar, tea and Rum on hand. We love the comfort of this condo, location, location, location and easy access to so many attractions. There is so much to do, see, eat and drink nearby, but I honestly like to stay right here and enjoy the beach and pool. We have a queen Serta Airbed available to our guests and a pack n play. Ring Camera at the front door.
