Welcome to our family’s charming, 3 bedroom waterfront cottage with open floor plans; ceiling-to-floor windows; vaulted knotty pine ceilings; and spectacular, unobstructed views of Waneta Lake. Our newly built cottage is situated on a quiet, private road. This premier location on the east side of the lake is the perfect place for your family’s summer vacation. Excellent for all activities including: swimming, boating, fishing, biking, hiking, or just relaxing.
Experience million dollar views of the lake and breathtaking sunsets from the patio deck above the boathouse. Take pleasure in family cookouts, campfires, and yard games in our spacious front and back yards.
Centrally located in the heart of the Finger Lakes. 15 minutes from wineries/breweries, Watkins Glen, Hammondsport, and Penn Yan.
Property Details:
Master bedroom has a queen size bed and closet. 2nd bedroom has full size bed and closet. 3rd bedroom has twin bunk beds and dresser.
Bathroom has shower/tub and granite counter top sink.
Kitchen is fully equipped with dishes for 8, silverware, cooking utensils, cookware, bake ware, microwave oven, coffee pot, toaster, mixer, and blender.

Great place

Perfect just what we were looking for. Cottage was immaculate, fantastic patio and view. We highly recommend staying here, Joy was very friendly and checked on us after we first arrived. We for sure will keep this cottage at the top of list when planning future vacations.

Peaceful stay!

Loved the open concept of the common area. We all very much enjoyed our stay at this home! Very peaceful and quiet dead end road right on the water! We enjoyed the fire pit as well.

Lovely stay

My husband and I spent 4 nights here. Lake view was beautiful and the space was very clean. We had a lovely time exploring Watkins Glen, Letworth, and just relaxing at the lake. Joy was very communicative and checked in to make sure we had everything we needed or provide recommendations.

Amazing NY trip

Joy was great to work with - she answered all our questions and met us when we arrived. The cottage was a perfect location to all the things we wanted to do in NY. Her place was one of the cleanest we've stayed in as well. And the view is beautiful!

Cottage is kept well and very clean. Communication was very good. This place is near cities of Hammondsport, Penn Yan, Watkins Glen, and Ithaca. Don't forget to see the amazing falls/lakes of the area. I would rent this cottage again.

Lovely house with stunning views

We came for a fall get away and the cabin's huge picture windows looking out to a view of the changing leaves and fields across a beautiful lake was just stunning. The house itself was very clean, new furniture, comfy beds - the whole property was meticulously maintained. Joy was a great host, communicating everything we needed to know and made sure to check on us during our stay in case we needed anything. Thanks, Joy!

A Perfect Getaway

Wonderful memories made at the Lake!

Joy was a pleasure to work with! The house was beautiful/spotless & had everything we could need. The view was gorgeous! The water was perfect for our young girls to enjoy without worry. Panoramic views

My fiance and I stayed here for a week and throughly enjoyed ourselves. Whether just being in the house overlooking the lake, swimming in the lake or traveling to the many close, local venues we felt like we truly experienced the finger lakes. Joy was always available to help with anything; the house or local attractions. I'd recommend this rental to anyone. The view are unbeatable.

Beautiful Lake Views and Great Location

We enjoyed our week long stay. This comfortable cottage has a nice open plan with full length windows overlooking beautiful Waneta Lake. The boathouse deck was also a nice feature. The pictures show a true representation of the property. We also enjoyed the location as nearby attractions were 15 to 30 mins. away. Joy made communication and check in very easy.

Gorgeous view of lake! All one story, which was good for us. Guests should be aware that sheets and towels are not provided. It’s easy to have kayaks delivered to the property.

Peaceful and relaxing location.

The house is located at the end of a shared stone driveway and has a beautiful view across Waneta Lake. My wife and I wanted a house that was close to some of the waterfall hikes, breweries and wineries in the area. We loved our hikes and exploring, but also looked forward to returning to the house in the secluded and peaceful setting. Each morning we sat in front of the large windows overlooking the lake and watched as daylight slowly started and the birds began to fly up and down the lake.

Breathtaking sunsets!

This is our 4th annual trip to the Finger Lakes region but the first time staying in Waneta Lake. The property is beautiful and spacious with a nice open concept that is perfect for families to spend time together. The floor to ceiling glass windows allow for a perfect view of the lake and the amazing sunsets regardless of how chilly it is outside. Being able to walk out a few steps and fish was a huge plus for us. Communication with the owner is great, she was very responsive. The only thing I wasn't used to is bringing my own linens and towels, unless I'm camping that's not normally something I need to worry about. We also ended up buying a bath mat. We had a great time and were very comfortable!

Joy is the 4th generation in her family to be on Waneta Lake. She has spent summers on Waneta Lake her whole life and is always happy to share any information she can about the lake and the surrounding area.

Our cottage is located approximately half way down the east side of Waneta Lake – one of the best locations on the lake! This premier location is perfect for swimming, boating, and fishing right from the dock. The cottage is off the main road on a quiet lane shared with a handful of other cottages. There is ample front and back yard space for yard games, campfires, and family fun. The deck on top of the boathouse is a perfect spot for a morning cup of coffee, outdoor meals, or just relaxing. The views from the property both during the day and at sunset are breathtaking.
