Perfect for multi-family gatherings!

This home has lots of space for your extended family and friends to visit with multiple living rooms and sleeps a total of 12. The upstairs features three bedrooms and two bathrooms along with a large gathering space, full kitchen, laundry, and rocking chair front porch. The home also features an efficiency apartment downstairs with a separate entrance. The downstairs includes a 4th bedroom with queen bed, 2nd kitchen, 2nd laundry, and a convertible sofa bed in the 2nd TV space. The home is only two blocks from beach access. It is also located within walking distance of coffee shops (Island Jo Coffee and Cafe), restaurants and bars (Shagger Jacks), and several stores. The rental also is equipped with an elevator for ease of transporting luggage or for older guests that don't want to take the stairs. It also has an outdoor shower to rinse off after a day at the beach.

Family Gathering

We had a wonderful stay to celebrate our daughter graduating from UNCW. This house is always the perfect setting to relax with family and friends. We can’t wait to visit again!

Great Family Beach Retreat

We had a great time and plenty of room for six adults and six children. The house was cozy and all amenities listed were present. We had so much fun with a short walk to the beach and a local crabbing dock nearby. We were also very close to the pier and several restaurants and shopping areas. The house is also in a nice neighborhood with friendly neighbors and came with a lot of extras not listed for more fun during our stay.We had a small issue with one of the amenities and Shelby responded very quickly and made sure that we were taken care of! If you’re looking for a nice place for a family group of a dozen or less that’s affordable and in a good location, I definitely recommend! Thanks again Shelby for everything!

Family beach time

The house was very clean and comfortable for our family gathering. We especially enjoyed having use of the golf cart and garage for all the beach gear.

Fall beach trip

Nice location. Great walk to beach. Our family enjoyed our time together. Golf cart was a plus. The wagon was great for our little ones. Our grownups enjoyed the bicycles. Will go back again.

Wonderful family location

My family and I enjoyed our stay at Yaupon Beach. There were maintenance issues that were addressed immediately upon contacting our host. We felt welcome and supported throughout our stay. The house was well stocked, in a great central location, and in the condition described. Having the golf cart was so useful and fun. Made our trips to and from the beach setting up for the day a breeze. We would absolutely stay again.

Best vacation ever!

There was plenty of room for our group of 8. The golf cart was such a wonderful convenience for dropping off people and other items at the beach. The elevator was a fantastic benefit not having to carry all of our supplies up and down the stairs. Lots of dishes, silverware and cookware were provided. We will definitely be staying again next year for our family vacation! Perfect house for all of us!

Family Vacation

We had a wonderful time on Oak Island. The house was perfect for our large family group. The beach was a very short walk from the house or a super quick ride on the golf cart. Everything was clean and Shelby was super quick to respond with any questions. We really appreciated the small touch of having a booklet of recommendations to go by when looking at places to eat or visit in the area. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can't wait to come back to the little piece of paradise that is Oak Island.

Great weekend

The house was very nice. We had a little problem with the AC, but Shelley had it working again by the next day and even refunded one night's rent for the troble. She was very reachable and always responded promptly. The golf cart was great to have for the short trek to the beach and the beach toys that were available was an added bonus. We had a great time and loved ❤️ Oak Island.

We had a great visit.

Over all good the first day we took the golf cart out the mirror fell out. I replaced it. And the light in the elevator was not working. But other than that we had a great visit.

Peaceful and relaxing

This property offered excellent space for my family’s needs, sleeping, meals and play. The host was awesome in addressing HVAC issues in a timely manner. The garage and driveway space were wonderful and safe for grandchildren’s play time. There were ample bicycles available for all age groups to enjoy along with personal bikes brought. The elevator and golf cart were a huge benefit to my daughter who has multiple sclerosis. The only suggestion I have is that the cleaning crew do a much better job in preparing the home for guests. Main surface areas were clean but there was debris like candy wrappers, q-tips, dryer sheets under the edge of beds, sofas, and laundry rooms. Such items lying around on the floor was not a good thing for young children. Overall, the house was more than sufficient to accommodate our family and provided a pleasant stay. The location provided ease of access to the beach, restaurants, ice cream shops, etc. We shall definitely consider renting this property in the future.

Nice!

My family and I enjoyed our vacation here. We were very close to the beach and everyone really loved the golf cart! The owner(s) were responsive the entire time. Thank you Shelby! We did not have any major problems with the house, but there are just a couple things that I want to point out: I should have asked this question to the owner(s) beforehand, but I wasn't aware that the downstairs apartment was completely detached from the rest of the house. I assumed that we would have access to it from inside the upstairs house via stairs or something. My parents enjoyed the downstairs apartment so it wasn't a problem, but I just wish that I would have asked more details about how the home was structured because we're typically all together in one space. Lastly, this was also not a big deal as the house was very clean for the most part, but there were strands of hair stuck in a couple of the bed mattresses. One bed looked like it had human hair and the other one looked like it had small dog hairs. This didn't bother us much since we had sheets to cover the mattresses, but we do think that this should be cleaned. Overall, we had a great family vacation here and would definitely recommend it!

Great family getaway

Our family, a group of 8 adults, loved the location, the separate apartment, the golf cart, and the nice outdoor shower. Some of us had a rather difficult time sleeping on the old mattresses with noisy plastic covers, the cleanliness of the house was not impressive, and we would have liked a little larger table that we could all fit around more easily, but overall, it was a great house for the price. The house host was very responsive and helped us immediately with questions. We also appreciated that the house was stocked with many kitchen and cleaning essentials.

Great Location

We love this area of Oak Island. The walk to the beach access is a straight shot and short walk. The golf cart is a life saver especially if you have a small child or children. The bikes for adults and children are a plus. The garage is huge and perfect for gatherings. Had a problem after check in but that was resolved immediately. Communication with owners is spot on. The cleaning could stand to be better. It’s an older house and it’s humid on the island so you have the old smell downstairs. All the bedrooms are large. We enjoyed our stay at LegaSea.

Perfect weather

We really enjoyed ourselves. The property and house were clean and inviting. The location was great with pleasant neighbors and shop owners. The usefulness of the golf cart couldn’t be praised enough! The only problem I had was with the tv and that was my ignorance or lack of electronic knowledge. The owners were pleasant and easy to communicate with promptly. All three families that went had a wonderful time and would stay here anytime. Thanks for the wonderful memories!

We live Oak Island, while the house was large.

Size was probably the only asset, it was in need of a cleaning, it felt as if others had just walked out. Extremely outdated to the point of being run down. Since my husband sold his beach house a few years ago we rent each year this was our first disappointment. I'm not trying to be critical but hopefully it will help

Family vacation

This was the perfect place for us. Basement garage was perfect for the guys to work on their fishing gear and storage. Home was spacious, clean and comfy. Golf cart was a life saver. Elevator made life alot easier with an elderly father in law.

Great stay in Oak Island

We had an amazing time renting this property. We had a family get-together and everything went well. The AC broke at one point, and the owner was extremely responsive and had a repairman there in an hour. We will look forward to staying again

We thoroughly enjoyed our family vacation at Legasea. Shelby answered all of my questions promptly before our trip. The property met all of family’s needs. This was the first time I had rented a house and the process was very smooth. We also enjoyed many of the Oak Island attractions.😎
