Located on the exclusive Kohala Coast of the Big Island, Kolea at Waikoloa Beach Resort is a brand new gated condo community; it is the most luxurious condo community in Waikoloa Beach Resort, and the only development with direct beach access.

The condo is just a two minute walk to Anaeho’omalu Bay, where water sports await you: snorkeling, sailing, windsurfing, kite boarding, glass bottom boat tours, sunset cruises, and of course swimming! A-Bay, as it is known by those of us who are tongue- tied, is a great beach for family fun and can't be beat for the variety of activities available and for convenience.

More adventurous? Want to ride the waves? Take a short 10 minute drive up the road to Hapuna Beach State Park and enjoy what some consider to be one of the best beaches in the United States if not the world. Go out and hop in the surf with your Boogie Board. Catch a wave under the majestic snow-capped Mauna Kea. It's an experience you will never forget! The boogie boards are in the car park storage for your use.

Got a little more time? Why not take the family on a drive around the island. Hawaii is the most diverse of all the Hawaiian islands. You will never get bored! I recommend a convertible if you can all fit. It's the best way to experience all the sensations of the place, the breeze, the fragrances, the stars. Convertible! Either way you will have a blast driving along Highway 250. Take a drive up to Waimea and then cut over highway 250 to Hawi. You are above the clouds looking down on the Pacific. Bring a sweater because the altitude makes it a totally different experience from what you would expect in Hawaii. Think Switzerland with sandy beaches and volcanic rock!

Have an extra day or two? You can not miss the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park! If you can swing it, stay a night down at the Volcano House lodge, overlooking the crater! The place is so awesome that you really cannot cover it in a day if you want to go for hikes in the park. On the way home you will want to stop at the waterfalls along the way. Or South Point. Or the black sand beaches. The views are spectacular the whole way!

Kolea is located between the Marriott Waikoloa Beach Hotel and the Hilton Waikoloa Hotel, and near the Kings Shops, and newly opened Queens Shops. Fine dining, and shopping abounds. Free entertainment and family activities, such as ukulele contests and hula lessons, are an almost daily feature at the Kings shops: be sure to pick up a calendar upon arrival. Two championship golf courses are a short drive away. Stay at our condo and you will also get the member's rate of $50 on golf at the Waikoloa Resort Kings Course and $75 at the Beach Course. And you can just use my clubs -- they are in the storage locker in front of the car park.

Very nice, comfortable property in a nice gated community with lots of amenities. It was a quick walk from the unit to the beach, pool and shopping/restaurants. The host was great to communicate with. We would definitely stay there again!

This was a beautiful property super close to the beach! Our family of seven adults and one infant thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! The host was responsive to request and provided beach equipment and had cribs and high chairs for the baby. The home was clean. We also appreciated how the clubhouse for the complex was on the beach. It allows us to play on the sand and then come back, rinse off and jump in the pool. Another feature was that we were super close to the King and Queen‘s markets along with many restaurants and shopping opportunities.

Family vacation win!

We stayed here for a family vacation and stayed 5 nights. Super comfortable and lots of great amenities. The property is beautiful and has access to a great beach and nearby restaurants within walking distance. We really enjoyed our stay here and hope to come back!

Best beach condo for family

We had a great stay at this condo. We enjoyed the beach access and the pool. We were able to walk to dinner. We drove around the island and were glad to have an access to a cooler in the condo. We will definitely stay again!

Great location for families

The condo itself is very nice and clean. The location is awesome for families—it’s a very short walk to the pool and to the beach. We had two toddlers and an infant and it had the basics we needed for them (pack n play, high chair, beach toys, etc). The showers in the condo have awesome water pressure, the outdoor barbecue was wonderful to have, and we would definitely stay here again.

Great condo very close to pool & beach

We were looking for a place with easy access to pool and beach for our toddler and this was excellent! Could walk everywhere; market a short drive away. Lavalava Beach Club was a great dinner an easy walk down the beach. The condo was well stocked, including with kid things like high chair and beach toys. Would recommend and would stay again.

Beautiful Property Amazing Location

We had an excellent stay. The condo was perfect for the two families that shared it. Plenty of space, lots of amenities, very comfortable furniture including the beds, very nice lanai with a great BBQ. This location was as close as you can get to the pool and the beach without paying the outrages rates to be right on the beach. It's literally a 2 minute walk to the pool and a 5 minute walk to the beach. It's also a 5 minute walk to the shopping centers near by. I would highly recommend this property and it's owner who was extremely prompt on answering our questions. We will definitley be back!

Fabulous apartment

Property was better than advertised. Check-in was easy. Clean and tidy. Communication was good. Short walk to pool and beach. Had everything we needed for a family holiday and we thoroughly enjoyed it!

92nd birthday celebration for mom

Property is located in a great location. No shower curtains only to discover them in the washer and note found on shelf (which I couldn't see due to height) things in washer. Not enough time to finish laundry. suggestion would be to take to laundromat. Also bathroom rug seems very dirty. Other than these few items, we enjoyed the property, convenience of location. There was no binder to be found according to letter on desk by dining room. Did not know how to contact anyone if we had questions or notification we left early so cleaners could come. Thank you!

Family trip

The condo was as presented on VRBO. Very well a portioned in the kitchen. Towels and linens were plenty full. Washer and dryer worked fine. Very nice pool area very short walk to pool and ocean. Had a couple small issues Ben took care of them. The only issue that didn’t get taken care of was the icemaker in the refrigerator never worked. There was a small portable icemaker, but it really wasn’t enough for a family of seven. When I emailed Robert for questions and or concerns he was very prompt and always very helpful. I would stay here again.

Beautiful accommodations

The place was beautiful, comfortable, and quiet. We really appreciated having beach chairs, umbrellas and towels available for our daily excursions. Being a walk away from dining and shopping was also a plus. This was an even better experience than staying at one of the hotel resorts.

5 year old's Birthday staycation

This was the perfect location for our 5 year old granddaughter's birthday staycation! It had more than enough room for 4 adults and birthday girl. The home is beautiful. The beds were comfy and the kitchen fully equipped. The large shower and deep tub were especially popular. We were happy to find the little things, like the stool in the bathroom cabinet and baby high chair if needed, made it convenient for little ones. The landscaping is beautiful with fragrant flowers in abundance. An awesome view of Mount Hualalai welcomed us from the living room window. The corner unit location is great and is just a few steps away from covered parking. Just a very short walk away is the welcoming infinity pool with the warm blue ocean of 'Anaeho'omalu Bay a few steps beyond. Just perfect! Nearby you'll be able to find everything you need from groceries to clothing to sunscreen or fine jewelry at either the Queen's Marketplace or the King's Shops. Very convenient. If you're looking for a perfect place to relax this is it! You'll see others on the property including kiddos yet it is not crowded or noisy. It felt very private and safe. Our host Bob responded quickly to any questions I had. I found it very warming that he reached out on the morning of our stay to check if we were ready. That was thoughtful and welcoming. My grandbaby has already planned for future birthdays at Kolea!! Thank you Bob for letting us stay in your home.

Beautiful House in a beautiful location.

Beautiful condo, excellent location

We enjoyed this comfortable condo with A-Bay access within a short walk and covered parking for our car. It had all the beach toys we needed and having a private outdoor patio and grill was a bonus. I have to say the dryer booster was very loud, but once we were done with laundry, it wasn't a problem. Thank you for hosting us!

70th birthday

Two active couples enjoyed the beauty of the island as we celebrated our 70th birthdays. The villa accommodated us beautifully and was in a great location to many other attractions. Everything in the villa was clean and well appointed. The owner was very thorough and attentive, even offered us the use of his golf clubs and his golf membership. We stayed for 6 nights and hated to leave.

Big Island Adventure

The location of this property was ideal - so close to the beautiful pool area, A Bay, walking trails, golf courses, shops and dining. The communication from the owner was great. Nice beach gear to use and a great lanai with outdoor kitchen. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We decided to buy in Kolea because it is a great family location. Its very secluded and yet walking distance to the Kings Shops and the Queen's Market. It boasts the only beach access in Waikoloa Beach Resort and the construction of the villa's is exquisite. I am sure your family will love our place as we do.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

The list of perks is really amazing. Basically its my second home when I am not in Tokyo so its outfitted with all the amenities you would want on a visit. I try to make it so that when you arrive you dont have to do anything. You just start vacationing. I am also a member at the Kings Golf Course and if you book the golf package you get a great rate of only $50 per round!
