Pet friendly with a $295 fee. You must select that you are bringing a pet when booking and include the pet type and weight in the booking request.

As you walk down the stairs from the parking area you are greeted with an incredible view of the water. To your left is a great covered, screen in porch with chairs and a swing to relax. The house is to your right. Just a few steps away on the gently sloping lot are the dock and water. It is rare to find a home so close to the water with such a flat lot.

You look out at Goat Island with breathtaking views! You can even see the goats on the shoreline some days!

Fantastic outdoor grilling area!

The house has an incredible master suite with en suite bathroom accessible through a small covered walk way. The other part of the house has the living room, kitchen, and other 2 bedrooms and bathrooms. There is a queen room with an en suite bathroom and a bunk room perfect for the kids with a hall bath accessible by all.

Your family will love this cabin perfectly situated on the water.

Great location…very peaceful cove. Enjoyed the screened porch at night. House is cozy and easy to relax in. Great view of the lake and sunrise…just a few minutes from Chimney Rock, Goat Island, Anchor Bay Marina…Kowaliga is a nice boat ride for sunset.

Happiest 4th of July on Lake Martin

Lovely home at a fabulous location on Lake Martin. Breathtaking views. Perfect for our family (including fur babies). Close to so much including chimney rock, Goat Island great restaurants. We also enjoyed zip lining at Wind Creek state park also close by.

Nice relaxing spot on Lake Martin , close to the best spots on the lake. The owner was very easy to communicate with. We will definitely come back!!!

Beautiful, spacious lake get away!

Perfect. We would love to come here every year! Big kitchen that was fun to cook in a group with. LOVE the disconnected master bedroom! The GIANT kids room was a big hit even though we only had two kids- they thought they were kings!!! Seriously a beautiful property. Highly recommend. If it’s a “cabin” it’s a luxury cabin!!!

Thick dust under beds.

Million $ view. Light bulbs missing or burned out. Table chairs would have been nice instead of benches. Screened patio was great.

Glad you enjoyed the view! I don’t know what you mean by benches? There are 2 tables each with 8 chairs and 6 barstools at the counter. I replaced lightbulbs before your stay so not sure which ones burned out that week? Also the patio is not screened fyi. Thanks

We loved this cabin !

This was a perfect place for my family and friends. We loved the view and especially the screen porch ! There were some issues with leaking plumbing and mystery electric light and fans. The steps need work and the dock is missing half a step which makes it a bit hazardous for old people but non of that really bothered us. I could tell some things were on the list for repairs and the owner was very quick to answer questions ! I hope we can return soon !

Breathtaking view

We wanted a reset before the new year and it was perfect! We wanted a cabin view with a fireplace and a view since we could not use the amenities outside during winter, and we got it! The only thing were the steps coming in for my Dad. He is on a walker and the access of steps at night were a little tricky….but inside was very comfortable and the separate Master suite was a huge bonus! We will definitely be back! Mandy

Location

We arrived at the property, it was very dirty, large thick cobwebs, dead spiders and bugs on the floor, I reached out to the owner thinking the people he had cleaning his rental were not doing a good job for him and he said it was cleaned two weeks prior. Which I would think he would have had it fresher u before our arrival half of the lights were not working. The view from this property was fabulous I must say that half of the curtains e were falling down. But again the view of the lake eas great

Thank you for staying! Yes cobwebs pop up after 1-2 days, it’s a lakehouse in the woods and pest control etc. hasn’t been able to remove all bugs. There are not any curtains falling down? I went up there after your stay and did see 2 lightbulbs out, also not half. Sorry you didn’t enjoy.

Beautiful Home on the Lake

Loved watching the colors of the sunrise from bed! Was so thrilled to have my 4 kids under one roof again; loved cooking for them, though mashed my potatoes with a spoon instead of potato masher lol. Dishwasher worked great as there wouldn't have been enough silverware for more than a couple meals for the crew, but coffee was great, location was great, fellowship was great and the owners were flexible with us after we had a death in the family and had to postpone. I believe we did postpone early enough that they didn't lose business because it is an awesome and popular property!

Long weekend

Property is beautiful. Lake lot is wonderful. It was very dirty. We had to blow the porch and patio. We had to sweep inside. I expect spider webs outside. Inside webs were extensive. I don’t think it has been cleaned in months. Baths and linens were clean. All dishes needed to be washed before use. Not enough dishes and silverware for amount of tenants.

Valoree, I just had guests there and just had it cleaned last week with no issues. I’m assuming some of these comments are because I wouldn’t refund you when you wanted to cancel 2 days before arrival which I could not accommodate. I hate that you took that out on me with a review.

Beautiful view and location, but the property needs careThis was our first trip to Lake Martin, and we absolutely loved the area—it’s peaceful, scenic, and we’ll return. The view from this home is truly wonderful, and the setting has so much potential.However, the property itself requires considerable attention. The home felt unkempt and disorganized. There was thick dust on shelves and light fixtures, burned-out lightbulbs, and we even saw a few cockroaches during our stay. The kitchen was especially disappointing—it was stocked with very old, mismatched cookware and utensils that were not clean. Washer and dryer and refrigerators were very dirty. Cobwebs everywhere. I understand it's a lake place, but these were very old webs. It’s a great property in a great location, and it could be amazing with a deep clean, better upkeep, and some basic restocking. We hope to see improvements in the future, it deserves better care.

No comments were made during the stay, my cleaners found multiple missing utensils and dishes. There is a missing lamp, the coffee table was in the pantry. Extra sheets and towels were pulled out of storage and used then put in a bathtub of water. Very bizarre behavior from a renter.

Needs a little TLC

This lake house has a lot of character as a lake cottage with rustic features and lots of windows. The view is amazing. It could use some TLC especially outdoors. The dock has 2 ladders that are partially coming off and the cleats are loose. The step ladder has a missing wood slat. The pontoon boat has been sitting for sometime now and takes up space to be able to tie up to the dock. Many big cob webs and a need for weed killer and minor landscape attention. Indoors, there is so much charm. A little attention to light bulbs and ceiling fan controls would help. The dryer was pulled out from the wall and the gasket seal was laying on top so we couldn’t use the laundry. We didn’t not have sufficient bath linens. We paid more per night than we usually do at Lake Martin and it could have been GREAT but we made it work!!

New ceiling fans are being installed next week. The dock repair work has been quoted but not done yet as everyone is so backed up. There are 12-14 towels in the hall closet so more than enough. The dryer drum gasket came off but it still works fine. This is another repair that has taken over a month to line up.

I don’t think I’ve ever left a negative review anywhere we’ve stayed but I’m going to have to be honest. We were charged twice the price beings it was 4th of July week so we paid 1,000 per night (last house on the lake available so we didn’t have a choice) and couldn’t even all take warm showers at night. There were 9 of us & the house is listed for 12. So shouldn’t the house be accommodated for 12 people to shower at night without it going cold on the 4th person? The sink in the hall bath leaked after 1 use and 2 of the kids slipped down in the hallway before we realized it had leaked & water had run into hallway through the grout lines. Also, The shower in the hallway bedroom only half the water comes out at the top of the shower & the rest flows outta the faucet so no water pressure there so we couldn’t use this shower. Spider webs in the windows and a large wolf spider resting on top of the towels in the master bath. I did contact the host about warm water issues for showers & the leak in the hallway & he said he would have a plumber come look but of course after our trip. Even after all this I still feel bad leaving a negative review bc I hate to do it but I have to be honest.
