Piper’s Pointe is a gorgeous 4 bedroom, 4 bath beachfront home with expansive views of beautiful gulf waters with private walkway to the wide, sandy beaches of Indian Pass. Enjoy your own private pool and fire pit overlooking the ocean. Hear the surf from 2 King suites with beachfront decks, each with cozy outdoor living spaces. Recent change of ownership has led to almost completely new furnishings throughout.

AHHHHHHH Beach Quiet!

This location is ideal if you're looking for that quiet, non touristy, family time! Ocean just out the front, pool time whenever you want and room for the entire family! We were a family of all adults and each had their own room/space!!!! Relaxing is the word of the week!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great rental in a great location! Kids enjoyed the variety of opportunities including the bayou, the beach, and the pool. Good for multi-family since there are two master bedrooms. We do a lot of cooking during the week, so was also very grateful for a fully stocked kitchen. Washer and dryer did not work, but the rental company was really responsive and made it as convenient for us as possible.

Great Property & Almost Private Beach

The house was great as was the property. Pictures were accurate except I believe I saw a video game of some kind in one of the pictures, but was not in the house. Bottom level had garage with a picnic table, outdoor shower, grill & it opens to the pool or the boardwalk that goes to the beach. Fire pit area was very clean & enough wood for more than one fire was available in the storage room. Would be nice if one of the master suites was on the 2nd level for us old folks, but we made do with the queen bedroom that had a bath next to it. We would stay here again if in the area. Decks very comfortably & amply furnished, living room comfortable & amply furnished. Walk down the short, private boardwalk & you are on the beach with the neighbors being several feet away. Plenty of parking for at least 4 vehicles. Do not expect to find anything like salt, pepper, etc--plan on bringing or buying EVERYTHING except for the very small starter sets. Also, cleaning staff had made no effort to organize the kitchen utensils---open a door & stuff falls out. Once again, we would stay here again if in the area.

Family vacation

We absolutely loved the house, gorgeous setting very quiet! Definitely would stay again...highly recommend. Only thing you need is to supply a few more things, more toilet paper, tissues, paper towels...etc. Also have cleaning staff check all lighting and small things you wouldn't think of but some lights didn't work and ceiling fan in living room was acting up, that way they could stay on top of it before next group arrives. Overall place was wonderful for vacation! Thank you again.

Nothing like construction going on during your vacay :(

upon arrival, construction crew left boards, nails all over the place at parking area and pool. they were building a boardwalk to the beach, nothing like 4 workings pounding and hammering and saws cutting early morning all day so much we couldnt use the pool. highly disappointed!! i complained to management and they basically told me , it is what it is!! there are 52 weeks in a year, the one week i take off work to relax for ALOT OF MONEY btw, they decide to do it the week I'm there without any notice but the management did let me know the pool guy is a day behind schedule, how nice. We stayed here last year, had no issues and a great time, this year spent more money and had to deal with this our entire stay, we wont be back, not because of the home but the management company not willing to accommodate us in an way for the MAJOR inconvenience. Not a good experience this time around and not worth the money for sure. Next year, we will spend out money elsewhere.

The house and pool was wonderful. It's a great town and nice people. We were a little taken back by the exterior lawn care/weeds and lack of maintenance. However it was a GREAT place and protected us through Tropical Storm Fred. We made some great memories.

Vacation at Pipers Pointe

Rough start because the fridge did not work when we arrived on Sat. New one delivered on Mon. But as for the house, location, pool, etc all was great.

Our stay at Piper’s Point

Pros: house very clean and comfortable. Beds extremely comfortable. House stayed very cool even tho very hot outside. Pool , even tho small was excellent. Kitchen had everything you need to cook-which we did for every meal. Plenty of room for everyone in the living area, and the dining table was large enough for the whole family. Last house on the street so no thru traffic. Cons: refrigerator barely cooled and freezer didn’t work at all. Rental agent very responsive in that someone came every day for three days, but didn’t get it fixed so the next folks in today will have the same problem we did. No sure how long that has been going on. They did bring two large coolers and ice, but would have preferred a working refrigerator and freezer. We threw out some food that we would have kept otherwise if we had been sure it was safe to eat. I agree that the overgrowth needs to be cut back from the pool deck and maybe trash the three wooden chairs-one has a season’s worth of vines growing across the seat. The top bunks had no sheets on them. I didn’t find out until the kids told me the next morning. A broom and dustpan would be good as we had no way to sweep out the sand on the entry floor. Anyone who rents needs to be aware that there are LOTS of steps-not good for old folks or infants. All in all we really enjoyed the house and would probably rent it again.

A great vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Piper’s Pointe is a wonderful and very comfortable beach house. The location is quiet and quite private and the views from the decks are mesmerizing. The VayK beach gear credit is an added bonus. Many more pros than cons with this house and the management team was very responsive with the few, but rather major (a/c not working, ice machine not working, low water pressure and no hot water in kitchen sink, completely corroded grill), issues we encountered. For the most part, the house was very clean including linens and kitchenware, however it was obvious the furniture was not moved during cleaning as miscellaneous items were under tables, sofas and beds. Perhaps periodic management walk-throughs would be in order. For the cost of a week’s rental, everything should be in working order and in my opinion, more than one roll of paper towels and toilet paper would be a nice touch.

Beautiful Home Steps From the Ocean

The home was very clean and beautifully decorated. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. The pool was very enjoyable once the heat was repaired because we could not swim in the ocean at all. The surf was so rough that the water was the color of chocolate milk and there were one or two red flags all week. (I’m not sure if this is a typical issue or if it was just extraordinarily rough during our stay.) While the sand on the beach was nice, we were disappointed that it was not the sugar white sand you usually find on the panhandle. To get powder white sand and blue Gulf water, we had to travel 15 minutes to the state park. Also, be aware that, while there is currently no house on one side, the house on the other side is really close and has a fire pit and hot tub so neighbors are right on top of you. (Luckily, ours were really nice!) If you are anticipating going out to dinner or to hear live music, know that, although the address of the home is Port St Joe, the actual town area is 18-20 min away. The only other big issue for our group was the condition of the grill. It has definitely seen better days and needs to be replaced. Overall, 4 stars instead of 5 but still a nice place to stay.

Almost, But Not Quite a 5-Star Property

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We split this property with another family (4 Adults and 4 Kids) for a two week stay. This was our fourth visit to South Cape/Indian Pass, and the third property we stayed at. The location was perfect - steps from the beach, great crabbing next door, and still close to town. The house was clean and well laid out, the pool was great for cool days. There was an accessible closet on ground level to keep beach gear from getting blown away.The kitchen was is stocked, including measuring cups, mixing bowls, and an amazing blender. The washer and dryer were quiet and quick. The beds were medium-firm and comfortable in the masters. The vinyl-plank flooring was smooth and easy to keep clean.The key difference between this property and a five-star location was attention to detail on small items. The ice-maker in the refrigerator produced maybe 18 cubes a day. We ended up buying ice cube trays on the third day and augmenting with bags of ice from the trading post. There wasn't a mat to collect sand inside the entry door, and the exterior mat was broken into three pieces. The bunk beds for the kids were solid, but slightly oversized, so we had to stuff some blankets between the mattress and the wall to keep stuffed animals from getting lost. As with many beach houses, there's not a coat hook to be found, so coats end up piling on the bar stools. The house could use more towel hooks (including for hand-towels in the bathrooms). The hose for pool filling and rinsing off kinked easily (Please provide a shorter hose).All said, we would definitely stay here again.

The pool was a bit smaller than expected, but it was still a hit with our family! We paid extra for pool heat and were able to enjoy it every day and most evenings. We spent hours waking the beach seeing very few people. Those we did encounter were very friendly. We traveled to St. Joseph Peninsula State Park, which has a beautiful beach as well. We also drove to Panama City and rented a pontoon boat for part of a day. It was wonderful being able to cook most meals in the house, and carry out a few meals from local restaurants. We all agree that this vacation was a salve to our weary souls in this strange year. We will be back!
