Recently remodeled,
"Teach's Treasure" features a unique reverse floor plan with a spacious living/dining/kitchen area that offers outstanding views of the Pamlico Sound and breathtaking sunsets. Guests have access to the soundside beach, ideal for sunning, swimming, kayaking, clamming, or enjoying a peaceful stroll. The home includes three bedrooms, two with king beds and the third with two twin beds. There are two full baths and one half bath. Amenities include central air conditioning, heat, TVs, a phone, wireless internet access, a stereo/CD player, a washer and dryer, an outside shower, and a gas grill. Guests can relax on one of the three decks—two of which overlook the sound—perfect for reading, enjoying coffee or cocktails, or soaking up the sun. Very spacious and clean house. Easy check in and check out. The property managers are very nice and easy to work with. Will stay again if house is available for another ocracoke trip!

Beautiful Views and Fun Location

We stayed at Teach's Treasure in early June with our teen children and a set of grandparents. We loved the sunset views on the sound and the proximity of the town and all of the stores and restaurants it has to offer. The accommodations were clean and comfortable and suited our family well. We plan to return again!

We LOVED sitting on the deck, looking at the sound and going for walks into town and just spending time in the living room. It was a fabulous time!

Great View!

The view from the top rear deck was perfect for sunsets! The house was nicely furnished, decorated, updated and clean. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely rent again. The office staff was equally great!

Our vacation

The sunsets off the deck were amazing. We each had our own room. One thing that could have been better was to have potholders furnished in the rental, so we could take our baking pans from the oven. Size of the kitchen was very good, and good utensils were available to us. Would return again.

Great place to call home away from home

Teach's Treasure is a great vacation home! Great views and roomy! Everything was very clean and organized. I would highly recommend staying here. It is convenient to everything! My only concern is that the cooking utensils were dirty in the drawer and on the counter. (dried egg etc) Everything else was pristine!

Exceeded expectations & kept us cozy

We loved this home! We felt right at home and had everything we needed. The location was perfect and with golf cart rentals we were able to easily see all of the island! The sunsets are incredible.

Amazing view!

We love Ocracoke and have always wanted to stay here. This year we finally did. It is lovely. Very clean and beds are comfortable. The view though, is the exceptional part of this house. Absolutely stunning sunsets!

Quiet getaway

Winter Getaway

We have been going to Ocracoke for about 10 years and have chosen this house each trip. It is always clean and comfortable and the view is great. Ocracoke in January offers less dining choices than other times of the year but that is the only real downside. I highly recommend Teach's Treasure for your Ocracoke trip.

Holiday getaway

We really enjoyed out time at Teach's Treasure. Not much was open because it's the off season, and we loved it. We really enjoyed watching the sunsets. We saw them from the back upper deck, Springers Point, and the ferry. We also made the trek up to Corolla to go on a guided tour to see the 4 wheel beach and the wild horses. Beautiful! Beautiful Sunsets, wild horses, and we also saw 4 beautiful lighthouses! At night the stars were beautiful! So much brighter than what we see where we live! We plan on coming again. Oh and the house was clean and in a great location! I would highly recommend this place!

Awesome!

The stay was fantastic. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The initial check in was cumbersome probably because it was my fault and also my first time using VRBO. On the app it said check in instruction but, didn’t have anything there. The location is walking distance from a swimable beach. It was great! Friends and a great time. I want to do this every year now.

This is a special property on Ocracoke as you can sit on the deck and see the water and hear the birds. It’s wonderful.

Great views!

The house was lovely - really enjoyed how the community living space (kitchen, dining room, etc) was on the second floor so we could all really enjoy the spectacular views. Sat out on the balcony quite a bit. Great spot.

Some off-season adventure.

Very nice property with a surprisingly lovely view. Back porches look over a marsh close enough to west that we could watch the sun setting into the waters of the sound as Portsmouth Island faded into shadow to its left. The second floor living area gets wonderful light--having to do some work was made less onerous. (Decent Wifi.) Neighborhood, marshland, and beach walking all restorative. On the water Northern Gannet, Black and Surf Scoter and Bufflehead still present in good numbers. Amount of construction was a little surprising. Rites of spring on barrier island? Dorian's ungentle hands? Early March is definitely off season, with sundry higher season businesses yet to open. Not a problem though--the sense of being off the beaten track is enhanced. Looking to come back.
