Precipice Tiny House at Acadia Yurts!

Downsize your stay-and upgrade your experience-by booking one of our two identical custom-built, self-contained Tiny Houses. Thoughtfully designed and perfectly efficient, each unit comfortably accommodates up to two guests with a cozy queen-sized bed and all the essentials you need for a relaxing getaway.

Inside, you'll find a modest kitchenette equipped with a ¾ refrigerator, apartment-size stove/oven, sink, cookware, and dishware-ideal for preparing simple meals after a day of exploring.

This Tiny House also includes a full bathroom with a stand-up shower (sink in kitchen), plus a heat pump/AC unit to keep you comfortable in any season. ALL linens also included!

Tiny living doesn't mean sacrificing comfort. These bright, modern spaces offer a peaceful and unique home base while you enjoy the beauty of Acadia National Park and Mount Desert Island.

Acadia yurts was very welcoming! I felt very taken care of from the second I arrived! I would absolutely stay here again in a heart beat! Karen and Tom we’re communicative and the location was wonderful! Rooms were extremely clean and well taken care of!

We loved our stay at the Precipice Tiny House. Acadia Yurts is a quiet community, close to Acadia and good restaurants in Southwest Harbor. And it is close enough to Bar Harbor that we enjoyed multiple meals and hikes in that area but far enough from the hustle and bustle to be peaceful. The hosts thought of everything and had instructions or recommendations for anything we needed.

The precipice tiny home was everything we needed after hiking around Acadia. The hosts Karen and Aaron were very easy to communicate with and have everything clearly laid out for easy check in and check out. If we ever get back to Acadia or Maine we will most certainly be staying here again!

The tiny house was very clean and well stocked. There was not a TV or a sink in the bathroom.

Thank you for staying with us during your visit to Acadia National Park! We’re thrilled you found the tiny house clean and well stocked with the supplies you needed. Your other feedback is correct as well, there is no TV or bathroom sink in the tiny house. The lack of TVs is an intentional feature of our property. As an eco-friendly glampground, our brand is centered on reconnecting with each other and with nature, so none of our units feature TVs, nor do we advertise that they do. The bathroom also does not have a sink, and that detail is specifically noted in the listing and shown in photos of both the bathroom and kitchen from multiple angles 😊

Amazing experience. The tiny home was perfect and very well furnished. The host was amazing. They were very helpful and kind, responding quickly to anything we needed. Genuinely the best experience we’ve had with a travel rental. Highly recommend this to anyone vacationing in Acadia.

We loved this cute little tiny house retreat in Maine. We stayed here to visit the Acadia National Park and loved staying here on the quiet side of the island. The grounds were quiet and it was easy to come in and out as we pleased.

The stay was incredibly amazing. The property owners had great trail recommendations and thought of everything to make the stay fantastic. Kitchen had all the supplies necessary to cook meals in! The property was perfectly maintained!

Lovely property and grounds. Host was very welcoming, left cards, a large book of suggestions, recommendations and thorough instructions. The tiny home was perfect and spacious for 2 adults. I would definitely stay again.

Perfect Acadia Getaway :)

We stayed in the Precipice Tiny House for 4 nights and we loved it! It is only a half hour away from Bar Harbor and we liked all the amenities it had to offer. Will definitely have to check out the wellness center next time!

Sobre o anfitrião

Anfitrião: Karen Roper

Aaron is a Maine native. He was born and raised across the bridge in Trenton and grew up attending local Bar Harbor schools. He has worked in the restaurant industry for 20+ years beginning as a prep cook in high school then moving toward general manager. Aaron's favorite extracurricular activity is learning all he can about Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. As often as he can, he trains locally and loves sharing this passion with others.

Karen is a transplant. Originally from Chicago she made her way to Maine in 2009 and fell in love immediately. In Acadia she enjoys hiking, trail running, yoga, and long walks on the carriage roads. Karen has been teaching yoga locally for over 6 years and now brings her practice to the Wellness Center (located on site at Acadia Yurts). Karen is also a licensed massage therapist and offers services onsite (pending availability).

As a couple we have done quite a bit of traveling and through that we have narrowed down the particular way we like to travel. The biggest factor for us is having a furnished kitchen in order to prepare health minded foods to nourish our bodies and support all our outdoor activities. The idea for Acadia Yurts has been brewing for quite some time. Friends of ours live off the grid in a yurt and we greatly appreciate the rustic, romantic feel of the yurt but wanted some of the comforts of home; running water, heat, electricity. From there Acadia Yurts was born. We truly hope you enjoy our property and your time here as much as we do.
