One of our favorite units and definitely an Akumal classic, Penthouse at the Reef is a very special four bedroom, four bath condominium, occupying the entire third floor of The Reef. Recently remodeled, this luxury suite is stylish and chic. It is the only 4 bedroom condo in Akumal.

The stunning hand painted mural upon entering the 3rd floor is your first clue that this is no ordinary unit. As you enter into the penthouse, you are greeted by a large picture window with an incredible view of Half Moon Bay that leads to an expansive oceanfront terrace and outdoor living area. The ideal place to entertain and enjoy this amazing vista.

The owners created an elegant and beach themed space and their care is evident throughout the condo. Delight in the modern, fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances and extra large breakfast bar for seating. Enjoy gourmet meals at the custom made dining table while taking in the views of the Caribbean.

The Penthouse has four private and well appointed bedrooms. The Master features a king bed, Smart TV, ensuite bathroom and oceanfront terrace that can be locked off for seclusion. The oceanfront guest suite is just as beautiful with a queen bed, Smart TV, ensuite bathroom and a beachfront terrace.

The jungle view guest bedroom has two double beds and Smart TV. It also has its own private bathroom with dual sinks and soaking tub. The 4th bedroom is a studio suite with its own full service kitchen, queen bed, and private entry, this bedroom is great for those that want extra privacy.

The Reef has a great central location on Half Moon Bay. Easy walk to La Buena Vida or La Lunita restaurants. With direct access to the beach and snorkeling, the Penthouse at the Reef is the best property for your upcoming vacation to Akumal

Half Moon Bay condo

This was a wonderfully spacious beachfront condo for our group of 8. Although difficult to get through the rocks just offshore, once through we snorkeled and saw a great variety of tropical fish. The unit is walking distance to.a small convenience store, a lovely Mexican handicrafts shop and three great restaurants. Nearby Yal-Ku offered great snorkeling, and don't miss the cavern tour at Aktun-Chen. Overall a great stay in a lovely, quiet spot.

Great condo on Half Moon Bay

The Penthouse condo has a wonderful view of the bay, and the location is great. We enjoyed the nearby restaurants (La Buena Vida, Jungle Cafe, and La Lunita), plus there is a small grocery store very close by. We rented a golf cart for the week which we took to town, the Lagoon and Monkey Sanctuary. The bedrooms all were very nice and the kitchen had most anything needed. We prepared breakfasts at home each day. And we greatly appreciated the housekeeping services. The concierge arranged Chef Daveed Services to prepare dinner in our Penthouse one night which was a highlight. Definitely recommend doing this. The concierge also arranged our airport transportation which was very helpful. One note is that there is no elevator and while our family had no issue carrying our baggage and doing the stairs to the 3rd floor every day, some may not like this. The surf was a bit rough on the days we were there so the snorkeling from the beach was not that great but we did see some fish and had nice walks on the beach. Going to the Yal Ku Lagoon which is very close was fantastic. We initially had an issue with the hot tub but the property manager quickly helped us correct the issue. Overall we greatly enjoyed the property, felt comfortable, safe and had all the support and services to ensure a pleasant stay.

Pleasure in Paradise!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Penthouse was a wonderful place to spend our vacation with our two sons and their families. Everything from the layout/flow and comfort of the complex worked for us. The balconies and views were exceptional. The daily maid service kept everything clean and tidy-the maid was great as was the condo management team who made themselves available on a timely basis when we needed assistance. WE did not need a car because of the great location and did rent a golf cart to access some areas within Akumal Bay. Our overall experience rates a +5 and we are so grateful that we were able to spend time at this condo in Akumal.
