Imagine this: you and your favorite crew at The Life Saver, a bright, breezy 3-bedroom beach house. Tucked in the exclusive Pirates Beach neighborhood, you’re minutes from top-notch island dining, sights, and good times.

Inside, the open-concept living room and kitchen keep the vibe easy and laid-back. Step out to the covered balcony, where a table, chairs, and two rocking chairs set the scene for morning coffee with a salty breeze and waves as your playlist.

Downstairs, kick back at the rustic Seahorse Saloon, your drink of choice in hand, the game on TV, and plenty of room for great company. A fridge keeps your beverages cold and ice at the ready.

We’ve packed the place with fun: beach chairs, board games, toys, coolers, and a hefty cart to haul it all. Just don’t forget the sunscreen.

The kitchen’s primed for action with a blender, griddle, ice cream maker (salt included), spices, and every pot, pan, and utensil you could want. Linens and bath towels. Covered. After a sun-soaked day, rinse off the sand and saltwater in the outdoor shower.

Annual Family Beach Trip

This is our fifth family beach trip to Galveston; we have stayed in this home twice! Both times did NOT disappoint! The amenities are great, the home is clean, fits plenty comfortably. All the conveniences of home, & close to just about everything! The 2-minute walk to the beach isn't bad either! We will be back!

Excellent beach location

We only stayed 3 nights but wish it could have been longer. It felt like home away from home but with a beach! Awesome outdoor living space and a wonderful beachy feel to everything about this house. I will definitely stay here again!

Great stay

Loved our stay! David was easy to work with & any concerns or questions I had were answered very quickly. The area is lovely even though it was cool we enjoyed walking along the beach & collecting shells. Hoping to revisit & stay again!

This location was amazing! We had a great time just sitting outside listening to the ocean and enjoying the fresh air. We will use this host again for sure.

Relaxing...

The house is very nice, well equipped with all the amenities. It is located in a nice housing development which is quiet during the week. The beach is close by, just a short walk to the sand and surf. Our stay was very restful and relaxing.

Lovely home!

We absolutely loved our stay here during the week. The beach is super close, the house is well equipped for a whole week stay, and we enjoyed being able to work from the kitchen table. The owners are very responsive and they genuinely want you to enjoy their home. We will definitely be back

A beach house with good spaces

This beach house has a good layout and good spaces to hangout, including inside and outside. The beach is a short walk. The neighborhood is nice and people are friendly. Convenience store, Waterman restaurant, and State Park are very close.

Family beach trip

This was the perfect place for our family of four. We had plenty of room and everything we needed for a beach trip was supplied. The beach was quiet and plenty far away from the busyness of Seawall Blvd. The host was great to work with and communicated with me very easily. We would definitely stay here again!

Close to a Private Beach

Cute, fun rental that was perfect for our family vacation. Short walk to the beach & it wasn’t busy at all. We went every day. Love the outdoor shower to rinse off & the hang out spot underneath. Owner was very accommodating.

Excellent experience all around!

Our family loved our stay at The Life Saver! We had everything we needed in the bathroom and kitchen and for the beach. The property was clean and well cared for even out to the landscaping. The neighborhood was lovely everywhere. Only a short walk to the beach. David is an excellent communicator. Thanks for a great experience- we plan to come back!

Perfect little getaway

This property is just outside Galveston and a block and a half from the beach! We loved the sunny deck off the living room and the bar and patio located underneath. The extra outdoor spaces allowed everyone to spread out and enjoy the space in their own way. There were tons of extras for the beach like toys, wagon, outdoor shower, etc. The neighborhood was quiet and even at night. Nicely equipped kitchen with plastic wear for the kids also. We would definitely choose to stay again!

Perfect for us!

We are all very happy with the beach house. About 60 feet out the back and to the left is a short quiet cul-de-sac that runs less than 2 blocks and leads to the beach. Seawall blvd is maybe a 6-minute drive away, and an inexpensive dollar general store is maybe a 3-minute drive from the beach house. There is nothing for us to complain about. Quiet, clean, and comforting! Thank you David!!!

Beach house

Must be very careful with small children on 2nd floor deck. Enough room between slats on railings for a small child to fall through. House was clean and well stocked but all beds were hard. The downstairs area was not.clean. All chairs were rusted and boogie boards were broken. Bird poop on all furniture and washer/dryer area was a mess. You could tell knob on washer had been repaired with glue and would not stay on. Lost knob several days in but eventually found it in a organizer rack on opposite wall. Texted owner about it and he was not nice about it. Would not recommend this house if you have small children or want to wash your laundry while on vaca.

I must say I was surprise to read this review, after receiving an email from my guest the DAY OF CHECK OUT telling me how much they enjoyed the house and their stay and then proceed to asked for a late check out. I was also informed that they brought their dog. I do not allow dogs. However I did not make an issue of this. In the same email my guest informed me quote " we some how lost the knob to the washer". They did offer to pay for it but I had other guest coming and did not have time to search for another knob. I informed them that I would have to drive 2 hours (one way) plus find a replacement knob. I ask please try to find it. They found the knob and I said "Great save me a trip" I was not rude about it at all only just stated the facts. I know the knob was on the washer as our maids use it to wash the linens/towels and they would have told me if the knob was missing. It appears to me that my guest used the washer and accidentlly pull the knob off of the washer and then lost the knob. I have had numerous guest before and since with no issues regarding the washer. This knob was not glued as stated by the guest. My guest's comment regarding the 2nd floor, according to my HOUSE RULES listed on the web site it specifically says "Small children shall be accompanied by an adult at all times on the balcony". I also informed my guest again when I sent the code for the house. I must assume the guest didn't read the house rules when they booked. Not my fault. Bird poop on the OUTSIDE furniture. Good grief! Future host be careful!

Great house and close to beach

Cozy comfortable beach house in quiet neighborhood. Very close to beach. Suggest bringing own beach towels, few kitchen towels and dish-wand, drinking water. We would of liked some more hand towels and wash clothes in bathroom. The place was well air-conditioned, but We purchased a fan to keep bathroom cool between showers. Bring extra blankets as queen size beds only had sheet. Luckily we were able to use full size blankets from bunk beds. Bring mosquito spray! We enjoyed only being 10-15 min to town with 4 yo, we went to town everyday for activities and dinner.

Last minute weekend get-away

My family of 5 had the best short-notice beach weekend! Weather was great, food was delicious, beach was nice and quiet, and the house felt like home. A few things that made a momma of 3 little boys happy:plenty of beds with clean bedding, clean kitchen and bathroom, washer and dryer, tv channels, dvds, games, all the beach necessities with a wagon to pull them in, and close location of the house from the beach! We made wonderful memories! Thanks David!! ☀️🌊⛱👍😄

Great place to stay

This place was clean and had everything we needed. The owner had great communication with us which made check in and check out a breeze. Would highly recommend this place to others, and I would go back again in a heartbeat.
