Enjoyed our stay. Located close to restaurants, shopping etc. Property was well maintained, pools were clean and we really liked our room.

Condo space and balcony were great.

The condo is spacious with a really large balcony with a nice view. The building itself is older. Really unfortunate that they do not let kids in the hot tub. Supposedly one of the pools is heated, but it definitely did not feel like it was heated. The condo was clean, but I felt it lacked a few things like a tissue box, cookie tray in the kitchen, or salt and pepper. Also, there were only 4 forks. Plenty of spoons and knives but we were constantly hand washing the forks so we could use them again.

Lacking in communication and customer service details!

The ocean view was lovely. Great location. The condo was clean and well equipped. Wi-fi worked great. Check-in was a disaster. There was no clear instructions on where to park or where our room was located. We went into the office to ask for help and the lady was extremely rude and no help at all. So we played a guessing game to choose the elevator we thought would be closest to our room. Only small vehicles will fit into the parking garage so we had to park outside of the garage. Before choosing this condo, we read in the reviews that the beach chairs and umbrellas may not be included in our rental so we took our own chairs and umbrella down to the beach. As we began setting up our umbrella, the guys working out there came and told us we were NOT allowed to set up our own stuff there, and we would have to move over past the sign of our condo, which is to the side of our condo that we payed for in order to have access to that beach! So all week, we had to set up to the side of our condo like we were not even apart of that condo. These customer service details could have made a huge difference in a better stay for us.

Family friendly , clean, comfortable place

Place was better than pictured! The unit was clean and spacious. It was tastefully decorated and very comfortable but definitely not luxury. Deck area was big with a nice size table for outdoor eating. The green area grounds were huge…enough for kids to play soccer or baseball. Located on the beach, great view, ample parking, short and safe walk to outlet malls, bookstore, grocery, Chick Fila and thrift store. Beach chairs and umbrella were set up and ready at no extra charge. Beach area was private but busy. It still was not as crowded as other beaches we have gone to. This was probably the best reasonably priced places we’ve ever stayed. Mom and three teenage girls stayed here and we felt very safe at condo and walking in area surrounding. Im definitely “overprotective” and even let girls walk to stores, etc by themselves during daylight hours…big deal for me.

Smell

The condo was really nice and clean, but there was a fishy smell when you walked in. Also the screen on the balcony was broken. But we really enjoyed our stay.

Good stay

Very convenient location, perfect location for shopping and going to the beach. Plenty of room in the condo for 4 adults. Check in and check out processes were very easy and fast.

Unexpected guest while vacationing

We have stayed at Edgewater several times over 20 years. The condo had been updated and smelled and looked really clean when we arrived. We checked in on Sat and by Wed, I had killed 5 water bugs and one of them was over 2 inches long and only on the floor and along the hallway / bathroom wall , I was really concerned they would get in our things and bring them back home with us. I kept things up off the floor and swept constantly until we left on Saturday. I contacted the managing staff and they contacted me and asked for pictures, which I didnt have because I was more concerned about killing them at the time, but I guess I should have so they would know what to treat them with before the next guest and they said they would do after we checked out on Sat. Only communicated with the staff via text, no one came to the unit after I called the Vacasa staff. The weather brought in a lot of rain and we read the unit had some previous water damages which may be a contributor to the bugs as well but as I have read they won’t go away on their own and I feel the owners should be aware before it gets out of hand. The condo was very nice and when we book a condo, I expect the same comfort as my home, and I don’t have bugs so please take care of the situation for the next visitors. We will probably stay at Edgewater again, and believe this was just a one off situation because we haven’t encountered anything like this in the 21 years we have been coming to the Destin area.

Great Place

We really love Edgewater Beach. The views of the gulf are great and you walk right out to the beach. The condo unit was really nice and very clean.
