THINGS TO KNOW
Construction is 8-5, 7 days a week. Beginning Monday, October 20, 2025, the Lagoon Pool will be closed for approximately 3 weeks to have it resurfaced. We are hopeful to have it back up and running by November 10, 2025.Full kitchen w/dishwasherFree WiFiParking on-site (Parking Passes included), Non-smoking property.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Would definitely go back to sterling shores but would stay in different unit. View was amazing conveniently located. The bed was very uncomfortable or I’m probably just spoiled to my own. The sink starting smelling horrible on day 4 like sewer. We didn’t put anything down the trash compactor so not real sure what happened there.

The view is beautiful, the place is spacious. Paid too much for this place for it not to be better than a hotel. All of ac vents had mildew on them the shower curtain was completely mildew which they came to replace. There was a smell to the unit when you first walk in. On the third day came back to the apartment smelling like sewer/rotten eggs and it was after hours so we had to stay with that smell untill it went away. The maintenance man came the next day and poured bleach and left me with a bottle of bleach incase it happened again which was nice of him. There was hair all over the living room couch. Not worth the price at least not this unit. The manager and the people I talked to were very nice. Close distance to the beach and everything else.

Basic

Your basic needs will be met. Beds are small but comfortable enough for a good night's rest. Note: The room is right across from the elevators. I love the beach view from the balcony but the resort is not on the beach.

Beautiful condo, great view

We enjoyed our stay at sterling shores, our room and the entire property was very clean. This property is centrally located with lots of fun things for families to do within walking/driving distance. Our view of the gulf from our balcony was beautiful, we even spotted a few dolphins one morning. The beach access for the condo is a little small and canopies are not allowed. We ended up using a small free beach access just down the street from the condo. The property also has lots of regulations/rules so check those out before booking. We made due with them but it may be a deal breaker for some. Overall I would recommend this property for families with children.

Good for Family

Property was very nice with flowers and trees and very well kept. Enjoyed having 2 swimming pools to choose from. Understand the smoking policy, but feel there should be a place for smokers to smoke on the property. Would be nice to park in the enclosed parking area as the car is very hot when leaving. The condo we stayed in was well stocked in the kitchen, but need to upgrade dishwasher and stove.

Great location but noisy.

Stayed here for three nights with my sister for a girls trip. Our condo was directly in front of the elevator which had people coming in and out all night. The bedrooms are right off the walkway so we heard every noise and conversation. Overall the condo was clean and had everything we needed. I'll probably stay somewhere else in the future.

Gorgeous view

What a wonderful condo. The view was so beautiful and relaxing. The location was awesome. Parking was easy. The condo was well kept and clean. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils but you have to bring your own coffee filters for the coffee pot. It did have a Keurig machine as well so you can bring Kcups. If you have a several people staying and you will be there for several days, you should bring/buy toilet paper. There’s a Walmart across the street. The primary rooms bed is comfortable enough but I would suggest bringing your own pillows. Overall, it’s wonderful and I would go back!

The perfect place to stay

This is literally everything we want out of somewhere to stay! From walking in it smelled and looked so clean! I was so impressed! Plenty of towels and blankets for our family of 4 for the week. The beds are decently comfortable! The living room couch is so comfy! Love the tv with Netflix and Disney plus for family movie nights. The balcony is perfection! The view…. It’s amazing! You have a view of the pool (which was nice for my daughter and I hanging back while my husband and son went to the pool) and you have an amazing view of the ocean! The condo is gated which made us feel super safe. There’s also a gated separate private beach access point and area for just the condo residents. The beach is the perfect white fluffy clean sand. No trash or sea weed issues, and there are chairs with umbrellas you can have the option to pay to use for the day! The location of the condo is within 5-10 minutes of everything we wanted to do which is super nice. We will 100% stay in the same condo next time we come to Destin!

Weekend Fun

Sterling Shores was perfect for the girl trip my friends and I planned. The condo was beautiful and modern with picture perfect views. The resort grounds were beautiful and tropical many people thought I was out of the country. I would highly recommend Sterling Shores for family fun or a girl’s trip!

Property was great...the room was not!

The pictures were a bit deceiving on this unit. The carpet was stained in multiple places, everything felt very heavily worn, it could use a deep cleaning and some updating. Although the unit was not what we expected, we absolutely loved Sterling Shores as a whole. I had to speak a few times with the Operations Manager who was sooo nice and was very quick to respond and help resolve any issue we had...we would definitely stay again just in another unit.

September 2016 Stay

We have stayed at Sterling Shores in Destin several times over the years. Every time our units have had great decor, clean and comfortable rooms, and the service has been top notch. We won't stay anywhere else when we visit Destin. Conveniently located right across from the Back Porch restaurant with great amenities including the great pools and gym. Always an enjoyable stay and highly recommended!

Incredible view

I loved how casual the check-in and out process was. We had an incredible view with lots of room. Our friends stayed at a different facility and paid over twice what we did for a one bedroom resort room. We will definitely be back!
