Overall Great Stay, but Dining Seating is Misleading

Overall Great Stay, but Dining Seating is MisleadingWe generally had a very good experience at Dakota Lodge #8540, but there is one specific layout issue that future guests should be aware of: the dining table. While the property is marketed for six people, the dining table is realistically a four-person table. For our group of five, this was a significant downer. The table isn't designed for six and doesn't have the physical space or seating to accommodate that many; we even tried rearranging the furniture to make it work, but it still wasn’t functional for our group size.On the positive side, the location is absolutely excellent and the amenities are a highlight. We particularly loved the heated pool, hot tubs, and sauna. Additionally, the property management company, Summit County Mountain Retreats, was top-notch and very professional throughout our stay. We had a water leak upon check in and they came and fixed it within a couple hours of arrival (housekeeping had pulled out the fridge to clean it and inadvertently unattached the ice maker water line, causing it to leak water on to the floor). It’s a great property overall, just be cautious if you are traveling with more than four people and plan on sharing meals at the table.
