This spacious 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom penthouse, corner unit condo sleeps 6 with two king beds and a queen sleeper sofa. **New paint throughout and new flooring in kitchen, living room, and bathrooms.** It features slope views from the private balcony and vaulted ceilings. Premium linens throughout. Top floor, corner unit location ensures a quiet stay. Centrally located in River Run Village so you’re just steps away from shopping, restaurants and festivities. Plus, you're a short walk from the high-speed gondola. Dakota Lodge offers shared amenities including the largest pool in Keystone with slope views and two oversized hot tubs. And it's next to Dercum Square that features an ice rink during winter and a mini golf course during the summer.

The entryway offers mounted hooks and a bench for your convenience while coming and going throughout the day. The living area has a Smart TV mounted above a beautiful gas fireplace. Enjoy the cozy sectional that includes a queen-sized, memory foam sleeper sofa. Extra linens are in a closet. Unique stair-step windows provide natural light and slope views. The private balcony is just off the main living area and features slope views to the south.

The full-sized kitchen is stocked with all the essential cookware and tableware to make a meal away from home and features granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. The dining area comfortably seats six around a beautiful wood table. The first of two full bathrooms is just off of the living area and has a single sink vanity and a shower/tub combination. All bathrooms are stocked with towels and an initial supply of toiletries.

The primary suite features a new king-sized top rated memory gel bed (2021 model) and a flat screen TV. The en suite bathroom has double sinks and a door separates the shower/tub combination and toilet area for added privacy. The second bedroom features a king-sized bed and a mounted flat screen TV. Both bedrooms offer mountain and slope views.

Please note: To reserve this property, the reservation holder must be at least 24 years old at the time of booking.

The unit was very nice, and we enjoyed the indoor parking and being very close to the slopes. Check-in was a breeze. My only issue was the 15-page (!!) rental agreement that had to be initialed on each page. I've made a note not to book anything managed by Summit Co Mtn Retreats again.

Beautiful place to stay has a great heated pool and two heated Jacuzzis outside first time to stay in this penthouse but I have stayed on the first floor a couple times years back. I love the Dakota.

Reviewer Comments: Overall Great Stay, but Dining Seating is MisleadingWe generally had a very good experience at Dakota Lodge #8540, but there is one specific layout issue that future guests should be aware of: the dining table. While the property is marketed for six people, the dining table is realistically a four-person table. For our group of five, this was a significant downer. The table isn't designed for six and doesn't have the physical space or seating to accommodate that many; we even tried rearranging the furniture to make it work, but it still wasn’t functional for our group size.On the positive side, the location is absolutely excellent and the amenities are a highlight. We particularly loved the heated pool, hot tubs, and sauna. Additionally, the property management company, Summit County Mountain Retreats, was top-notch and very professional throughout our stay. We had a water leak upon check in and they came and fixed it within a couple hours of arrival (housekeeping had pulled out the fridge to clean it and inadvertently unattached the ice maker water line, causing it to leak water on to the floor). It’s a great property overall, just be cautious if you are traveling with more than four people and plan on sharing meals at the table.

Great place for two adult couples with 2 king beds!

Convenient location near the gondola. Great pool and hot tubs. The best part is 2 king beds and two full baths. It’s a bit crammed full of furniture. But overall we loved it. This was our second trip back.

Overall, the place was as-listed and just wonderful. Clean, cozy, and close to all our favorite Keystone shopping, dining and eating places.The check-in process however was a nightmare. We never got the pre-check in emails (and yes, we checked all emails, spam folders, etc). Text or call this host or VRBO itself, WEEKS in advance DURING BUSINESS HOURS ONLY if you want info about how to get in. Keystone has no one on staff for you to talk to in the unlucky event you get there after 5 like we did. As of Sep 2025 the number listed for the host is wrong, we got a text back from a random person saying we had the wrong number. We finally got in touch with someone from the company that owns this property an hour after being on the phone with VRBO helpdesk.
We were there during the color change!
