This is a truly lovely family resort. Our condo was very clean, super well equipped kitchen. Updated appliances . Our condo was right across from the pool. There is so much for a family to do.. beautiful beach, pool, bikes, tennis courts, playground, and shuffle board. This seems to be a family owned resort that is extremely well groomed and taken care of. The staff was courteous and friendly. Easy check in/ out. Would definitely return to this property.

Setting is idyllic for young and old.Beach is just beautiful sand and lake is plenty shallow for the little ones who can't stay away from the water. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The unit was in wonderful condition, with a fully updated kitchen and hardwood floors throughout. Everything you would need is included, including washer/dryer and AC. Centrally located right by the pool and the park. Only negatives, and they are minimal, is that you can't watch TV in the master bedroom based on the configuration (so I just moved around the furniture) and the internet is a little slow.Sleepy Hollow as a whole is kept in great shape. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Most everything you need for sports, such as basketballs, pickleball and ping pong rackets and balls, bicycles, shuffleboard items, etc. are available. I didn't see tennis rackets, but I don't play and didn't look for them, so they may have them. The pool area is clean and there was never a problem getting chairs. Pool is only heated to 84 degrees, so it's cold getting in, but once in, you get used to it.I already made reservations to come back in future years, so that should tell you how highly I think of Sleepy Hollow.

I could go on and on about the home we stayed in clean, updated, comfortable, has everything you need in the beautiful kitchen, washer and dryer came in handy too!

Wonderful family trip

We stayed in Terrace 20 which was a 3 bedroom town home with 3 full bathrooms. The townhome was fully updated and clean. Amenities included towels, hand soap, blow dryers, paper towels, dish soap, washer/dryer, sheets/bedding, grill, patio chairs, TVs, coffee pot, and much more. The kids absolutely loved the park, pool and beach. Although the beach has been terraced recently, there is still room to enjoy lake Michigan. Downtown South Haven was a short car ride/bike trip down the road. We look forward to returning in the future.

FALSE ADVERTISING: NO BEACH!

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family has been coming to Sleepy Hollow for 22 years, but we will not be returning. Why? The beach has totally eroded, so much so, that the water comes up to the steps ā€“ they even built an extra landing to the "beach" so people could step off without falling into the lake. I understand that the condo owners do not control the weather, but they do control how they communicate to guests and potential guests. Even today, as I write this, the website still boasts about the resort's "1000' private beach." It was only in mid-June, that the website changed out the picture of the beach from one taken in 2018 to a current photo. We only found out about the lack of beach AFTER repeatedly contacting the resort and getting very vague answers. FINALLY one of the younger office workers admitted the water was lapping at the steps. Unfortunately, we found this out after we were already within our 60-day window of being able to cancel our reservation and get our 50% deposit back. We have returned to Sleepy Hollow year after year, and paid premium prices, because we enjoy the nice grounds and heated pool, but most of all the private beach. The beach is gone. We made the most of our trip by visiting the public beaches. By the way, it would have been nice if the management had provided a list of public beaches and access points AND a discount on our stay ā€“ say 20% ā€“ for the lack of beach. No beach = no bonfires, which we greatly missed too. There was no communication, no compensation and no effort to make up for the lack of the main attraction to this resort: the beach.
