Pros and Cons
The house is as you see, dated for sure. Has very creaky floors, missing molding, cobwebs is several rooms, bathroom door had splatter of something all over it. There is a loud banging noise that occurs, we could never be 100% sure but it could have been the gas line for the fireplace. It sounds like someone was trying to break in through the wall. There was no pattern to the noise. One morning between 3-8 am, I heard it 11 times. Sometimes we would go a day without hearing it. Maintenance was unresponsive on this issue.
The location is perfect! Walking distance to skiing, the main reason to choose this unit.
Checking it was a nightmare. After driving 10 hours, we were not able to get into the unit until 4 hours after check in. Sat in the car in the freezing cold the entire time, waited over an hour on hold for the management team to get answers (the unit had never gotten cleaned from the previous guests). We bought groceries on the way in so they did reimburse us for the spoiled food but getting the mangement company to follow through on that offer took many phone calls.
Had WiFi issues, which also meant no TV, that took several days to resolve, they did reimburse us for that after we returned home.
In summary, the house is old, but you can see that and know what you are getting into. The management company is a nightmare (full disclosure, they did reimburse us for some of the issues experienced) and very difficult to get a hold of.
