Perfect Little Condo

We enjoyed our stay in this condo. It had everything we needed in the kitchen and bathrooms. Perfect for a family of 4. Would stay here again!

Overall happy

The property was great! Spacious and in a great location. Could just be a little cleaner I found some hair in the bed. Otherwise we enjoyed the place.

Great location

Was really disappointed to arrive in a ski in/ski out rental to find that 5 people had to share one shower as one was broken, We should have been notified of this important information and at the very least compensated for the inconvenience.

Great location on slopes

Great stay, but the only thing that's keep me from giving it five stars is that I left an expensive pullover in the closet and I've contacted the location several times with no follow-up. I know it's my fault that I left it behind, but dang, You think they'd at least call me back to let me know the person who has it is enjoying their new pullover

Snowboarding trip

We had a great time! There was a large snowfall the day we arrived which didn’t have cleared roads that evening; however by morning they were. I was impressed at how quickly they had roads cleared. Four-wheel drive is a must during those large snowfalls, as we nearly got stuck even with four-wheel drive. Overall, great experience and time.

Ski Sugar

We had a fabulous trip. Place is clean and perfect ski in/out. Unfortunately for us OMA’s meadow ski lift didn’t have enough snow yet so it wasn’t open…it did open the day we left! That’s the nature of the game for Northern Carolina skiing! It was a beautiful fun trip as it snowed during our short 2 day trip! Pool, sauna, jacuzzi was a nice retreat after skiing all day!

Nice views, clean rooms. No air conditioning for summer bookings. Just heaters for winter.

Place was exactly as described in pictures. The place was very clean and the pool was very nice. We were not aware that the place is not air conditioned, I am sure because it is really meant for skiing season and it does have heaters for winter time. There were fans in all the closets. We ended up sleeping with the windows open and it was fairly cool because we went early enough in the summer before it got too hot. However, I would not want to stay any later into the summer for that reason. I would book this place again if the weather was cool enough.

Quick Getaway

Very clean and accurate listing. Check in process was difficult, the owner did not provide us with a gate code so there was no way we could enter the community. Luckily someone was able to help us. Also, we were allowed to park two cars there but only for a parking pass for one car. I requested another pass but that never arrived.

Nice Overall but needs Service Improvements

Arrived for our stay to have the wrong Door Code. Had to wait on hold with several different people to get the correct door code. Wifi did not work during our entire stay. We reached out to have the issue resolved and was told that a member of our team would contact us. However no one ever did. With that being said the condo was clean and had a great view and location.

not ready to check in

The shower for the full bathroom was broken along with the towel holder. The floors were dirty, and they didn’t make up our bed. We had to put our own sheets and pillow cases on. The oven pan was dirty and it smelled like fish in the condo. communication with the operations person seemed automated and responses were hours apart. Location was good and having a dryer on the slopes is great.

Spring Break 24'

Family of 3 here for snowboarding/skiing for a week. Home was well stocked. Walk out & hit the slopes. Even when Oma's Meadow was closed the last day, we were able to hike in! Little muddy. Roads are definitely not to be underestimated. We brought chains, even with them on, it would be difficult. We did not need them so late in the season. The hot tub was great!! The bathtubs were comfortable as well. Good hot water. Beds were comfy! Plenty of room in the unit. Never felt cramped. Great views off the porch & out the dinning room window! Parking area is fairly flat from the gate up to this unit. A great journey from Florida to Sugar! We will definitely stay again.

Bathroom Woes

Upon check in, found the shower in the front bathroom with the shower handle laying on the shelf above the toilet. When we looked at trying to put it on the shower itself, found hair and soap residue in the drain. When reported to the the PM was told there was a second bathroom and no credit would be made to our stay. Disgusting and disappointing since the location so close to Grandfather Mountain & Banner Elk made it a great spot to consider booking again. However, not after that, in addition the Wi-Fi didn’t work so we had reset the router. Not things you want to deal with when out of town on vacation.

False advertising

They are dishonest and or do not advertise properly the status of ski in and out. because i booked this expecting to be able to ski in and out. AND I MOST CERTAINLY WAS NOT ABLE TO SKI IN OR OUT. And when i brought this up to vacasa they said they do not thats up to sugar mountain ski resort. I agreed but that they are responsible for advertising it being a ski in and out and i would not have booked the rental knowing that the only requirement i had was ski in and out was not available while i stayed. They could care less that i did not get the full amenities as advertised. It is advertised as a ski in and out not a ski in and out sometimes

Very nice view

Our nighttime arrival was a bit tricky. Tough finding the location of the unit in the dark. The hallway leading up to the unit was full of yard sale looking items...lamps, tables, a chair, boots, home decor. The push button lock on the front door stopped working the 2nd day of our stay. Our hands were full of dinner items and became cold as we had to call the rental agency to figure out how to access the unit. The bathroom counters were both very small making getting ready difficult. The family room was comfortable and the seating was great for visiting. The kitchen was well appointed. We found that we needed to come home earlier than we planned several weeks before our trip to NC. When we contacted the rental agency they refused to refund one night of our stay. The reason given was it was within 30 days of our trip. Well the whole trip was planned and reserved within the 30 day window. Totally unreasonable. Will not rent through VACASA ever again.
