Over the years many of our guests have asked how Cherry Ridge Retreat got its start. About 20 years ago we built our first cabin. Our goals at the time were to build a cabin as though it were a second home and situate it on a unique plot on the property to ensure perfect views and absolute privacy. The cabin featured two bedrooms with woodland views and included a boulder fireplace in the master bedroom. The living room was designed with wide-plank wood floors, cathedral ceiling, picture windows and a boulder fireplace. A spacious open-plan kitchen, suitable for preparing gourmet meals and a pristine bathroom completed the interior of the cabin. Adjacent to the cabin a deluxe hot tub was placed in its own gazebo to create a spa-like setting that included dramatic views of the natural surroundings.
Fast forward to today - Cherry Ridge Retreat now sets the standard for luxury and privacy in the Hocking Hills. Eight deluxe accommodations situated on 140 forested acres strewn with wooded paths, ambling streams, serene stocked fishing ponds, private picnic areas and stunning waterside gazebos make our resort an address of distinction.
