This is a comfortable Oceanfront rental home for vacationers looking for an Outer Banks vacation accommodation.
Main House:
4 bedrooms (1 with Queen, 2 with Double, 1 with Twins with CATV/DVD player), 2 baths (1 with tub and shower, 1 with shower), living area with CATV/DVD player, stereo, additional dining/game table, powder room. Kitchen/dining area and breakfast bar. Central heat and A/C, screened porch, 2 outdoor showers, swimming pool in front of house.
Detached Building:
1 bedroom (with King), 1 bath, CATV/DVD player, stereo, laundry, electric heat, WINDOW A/C.
This vacation rental has a private Swimming Pool and Pool area with an abundance of tables, seating and lounges for vacationers use, a private walkway to the beach and stairs down to the beach. Guest may also enjoy the large oceanfront dune deck for sitting, reading, sunbathing or cocktails while taking in the views of the family and friends at play on the beach, views of our North Carolina Outer Banks coastline, distant views of the Kitty Hawk Fishing Pier and the Army Research Pier in Duck, lets not forget the view of the waters of the Atlantic Ocean with boats and fishermen that may be seen off shore, the occasional dolphin or porpoise swimming by or the seagulls and pelicans as they glide over head. At night you may watch the stars in the night sky over the Outer Banks, the kids chasing the sand crabs on the beach and listen to the sweet sound of the Atlantic Ocean as its waters wash up on the beach.
For those safety-conscious vacationers, this rental house is next to a lifeguard stand with the lifeguard service being provided by the Outer Banks lifeguard service company of Surf Rescue. There are two other beach lifeguard stands on the Outer Banks beaches within the Town of Southern Shores and two additional lifeguards that patrol on four-wheel drive ATVs.
One of the favorites of many of the Outer Banks vacationers are the outdoor showers that are available at most rental houses on the Outer Banks. Unlike most rentals, this oceanfront beach rental has 2 outdoor showers for vacationers' use! One of the outdoor showers has direct access for vacationers coming from the beach with direct access from the beach walkway into the shower and then an entry door to the southerly most bathroom and the rest of the rental house. Vacationers may also enter and exit this rental through the screened porch as they go to and from the beach, dune deck, swimming pool, and outdoor shower. The screened porch is on the Atlantic Ocean side of the rental and is furnished with a love seat (glider), chairs, picnic table, benches and an outdoor carpet has been installed for the comfort of the vacationer's feet.
Within a stroll or bike ride down the pedestrian path are a variety of Outer Banks Restaurants (Steamers, High Cotton, Run Down Café, Duck Donuts, Pizza shops, Subway, Vilai Thai Kitchen, bagels and other restaurants as you head south into Kitty Hawk (Ocean Blvd, Black Pelican, etc.), Kill Devil Hills and Nags Head (you will likely prefer to drive or take another form of OBX transportation). You may want to also venture north to the villages of Duck & Corolla and other communities in Currituck County, commonly referred to as the Northern Outer Banks.

Southern Shores Realty offers over 350 Outer Banks vacation rentals from Corolla to South Nags Head. We've been an Outer Banks tradition since 1947, providing families just like yours with memories that last a lifetime.
Responsible Groups Welcome: The use of the Premises is restricted to You and Your Family. A "family" as used herein means parents, grandparents, children, spouses of children, and extended family members vacationing at the premises. Use of the Premises by Fraternities, Sororities, or Unrelated Groups Under 24 Years of Age is Prohibited. Occupancy is restricted to the number of Occupants for the Premises set forth in the property description. Southern Shores Realty operates under the North Carolina Vacation Rental Act and will commence expedited eviction under this law if a home is rented under false pretense.
Taxes: North Carolina sales tax and County occupancy tax are added to your total rent and will be due when the balance of your rent is paid. The current state sales tax is 6.75%. The current Dare & Currituck county occupancy tax rate is 6%. Tax rates are subject to change.
Optional Travel Insurance: Finally, an insurance company that protects your vacation investment. Take the worry out of planning ahead. Your vacation is a significant investment. Just as you protect your home or car, you should also protect your travel investment. Unforeseen circumstances, illness, and injuries do occur. Protect your family by purchasing Generali Global Assistance/CSA Trip
Cancellation/Interruption Insurance. The cost is small compared to your total vacation expense. A detailed informational pamphlet will be sent to you along with your rental lease. If you are not completely satisfied, the insurance policy may be cancelled within 10 days of booking your reservation and prior to your travel date.
Vacation Rental Damage Protection: Southern Shores Realty also offers an optional Vacation Rental Damage Protection Plan through its partnership with Generali Global Assistance/CSA Travel Protection. Simply make a one time payment of $55, in lieu of a Security Deposit, and avoid the hassle of having to pay for accidental damage later.
Balance of Rent: Remaining balances (rent, taxes, security deposit - if required, and any other fees) are due thirty (30) days prior to your arrival. You may pay this by personal check, a form of cash, or credit card. Should your personal check be returned for any reason, there will be a $25 service charge added to your balance. All payments should be in US Dollars.
Payments: Southern Shores Realty will accept a personal check (if received at least 30 days before your check-in date), a form of cash, or credit card (Visa, Discover or MasterCard). All payments should be in US Dollars. When paying by credit card (Visa, Discover or MasterCard) the following guidelines apply: If a credit card is used the following guidelines must be adhered to:
(1)The person named on the lease must also be the person whose name is on the credit card.
(2)Upon our acceptance of your credit card, your reservation will be considered immediately confirmed, subject to our receipt of a signed lease, which is due within three (3) days. For Late Bookings - If a credit card is used to pay for a last minute booking (less than 30 days prior to arrival), we will charge the entire amount to your credit card including rent, taxes, security deposit (if required), and other fees that apply (pet, linen, etc.). In the case of a "No-Show" the reservation will be treated as a cancellation, and will fall under the rules specified in Lease Section: Cancellations.
CANCELLATIONS: Any cancellation by Tenant must be in writing. Except as stated in paragraph 12 of the Southern Shores Realty Vacation Rental Lease agreement, in the event of unavailability of the selected Property, if your confirmed reservation is cancelled by you or Southern Shores Realty for any reason (including but not limited to bad weather, illness, death, evacuations, or economic factors) and the Property you selected is not re-rented for the entire canceled period, then you will forfeit all refund claims (except refund claims available to you through purchased Trip Cancellation/Interruption Insurance) and will remain obligated to Southern Shores Realty for amounts due for the Property you selected. For this reason Southern Shores Realty encourages you to purchase Trip Cancellation/Interruption insurance as described in paragraph 5. If the canceled Property is re-rented by Southern Shores Realty for the entire canceled period, all money that you prepaid to Southern Shores Realty will be refunded to you except the following amounts: (1) a Cancellation Fee of $175 that is charged to you in the event you cancel a confirmed reservation; (2) any difference /reduction in the rental rate/rental amount to re-rent the cancelled time (3) fees you paid for services by third parties that were disbursed by Agent prior to cancellation; (4) any Trip Cancellation/Interruption Insurance premium you paid. ANY change you make to a confirmed reservation (including a transfer to a different week in the same unit with advance Owner approval) will be subject to a Change Fee of $150.
