Come relax and feel the sand between your toes in beautiful South Padre Island. This is the perfect place to get away from it all. We are directly across the street from the beach, and there is a beach access just steps from the condo. It's like being beachfront without the prices! There are no hotels around us, so the beach is not as crowded and the neighborhood is quiet.

This rental was as pictured and the decor was tastefully done with a comforting beach motifs. The condo was clean and well maintained. The pool area was a highlight. The surrounding was also welcoming to our dogs. The walk to the beach access was simple to make and place was close to businesses but not enough to be bothered by noise. I would recommend this rental to others

Relaxing & Comfortable Staycation

Our family enjoys staying here because it feels just like home! The condo is roomy and spacious. Our favorite part is the swimming pool & outdoor area! Always a great time!

Beach Wedding Vacation

Perfect place to kick off summer

Our large group loved our stay at Athena Area condos for the third time! The clean pool, close beach access and nice rooms make it the perfect place to kick off summer!

We stayed two weeks at the property with other family joining the second week. Excellent communication before and after booking as well during our stay. Easy check in. Great reserved parking right outside the door for two cars. Multiple beach access within less than a block, one right across the street. Plenty of room in the condo with four adults and two dogs. Convenient right outside for dogs to do their business. Pool and hot tub were great! Pool was heated perfectly. Nice quiet complex. We only ever saw two to four others at the pool. We used the pool table often. We sat on our patio very often and played cards sitting out. The recliner pull was broken, Paul responded quickly and was out the next day to repair. We mentioned that the gas grill wasn’t working great to get really hot. Paul had a new grill the next day. Wifi worked good, I worked a few days. TV cable good and smart tv/roku for your streaming. Walking distance to dollar general and some restaurants and shopping. By car grocery store is 5 mins away and Walmart in Port Isabelle. All easy to get to because we were there right before Spring Breakers. Feb 20th-Mar 6th. Weather was great!! Next time we go to SPI we would stay again!! Dogs loved the beach!!!

Great location

Enjoyable and clean home. Great location for food, entertainment and the beach. Host communicated very well. Check in and out was easy. The kids had a good time at the pool. The overall experience was great, we had a good time.

Easy walk to the beach

The stay was pleasant and relaxing. The property is a two minute walk from the room to the water. Lots of amenities with in minutes for location.

Yearly beach vacation with family

Beautiful condo with all the amenities. Pool, hot tub, outdoor pool table, full outdoor kitchen with tv so we could watch our Chiefs win! Excellent!

Family Holiday

We rented 4 units for ourselves and the families of our three daughters. The condos were well equipped and very convenient to the beach. The pool and patio area were great for getting everyone together for dinner. We would definitely stay here again.

Overall it was a good experience. Pretty much everything you might need at home to cook is there, albeit a hunt to find it. Parking is excellent and location to beach superb. As for me, my house is kept significantly cleaner. We have friends who live on the island who also rent thier personally owned condo most of the year, and they also struggle to find competent cleaning services. For the price, its fair, but in the future, I will probably opt for a 5 star hotel suite instead.

Relaxing winter

We enjoyed our stay at Athena Ares!! All the comforts of home. Everything you need for a day at the beach with a perfect patio to relax in the evening. Everything about this location is perfect. The beach is right across the street. Walking distance to several restaurants. Enjoyed our stay!!

Great weekend

The condo was great, very clean and had plenty of room. My family enjoyed our little get away and enjoyed the pool which was very clean and very well maintained. The location of the condo was great, just a short walk to the beach where we all enjoyed the sand and water. I would definitely recommend this property to others and I see my family returning to this condo again.

The location is great! We can easily head back to the condo for lunch or just to grab more digging stuff. Then it's just a 1-2 minute walk back across the street and we are there, in the water! We also love walking down to the Wanna Wanna Inn for fried shrimp, cold beer, and good music. When our family comes to visit, we stay in all of the condos and spread out. We get to enjoy being close together without listening to each other snore!
