What's better than beachfront? Our place! We are directly across the street from the beach, so you get the convenience of beachfront without the beachfront prices. You are a shorter walk to the beach from our condo than you would be in the big resorts with 'beachfront' prices.

Come relax and feel the sand between your toes in beautiful South Padre Island. This is the perfect place to get away from it all. Even better, is our location. We are directly across the street from the beach, and there is a beach access just steps from the condo. It's like being beachfront without the prices! There are no hotels around us, so the beach is not as crowded, and the neighborhood is quiet.

Stream your favorite apps, ZOOM, eLearn, etc. with high-speed WIFI internet. Our condos are pet friendly and kid friendly. They are also great for a romantic getaway. Are you setting up a girls' weekend or reunion? You can rent out an entire floor or the whole building and have a private vacation!

New upgrades: Keurig coffee maker, Berlin Gardens outdoor pool furniture, 6 beach chairs, 1 Tommy Bahama beach umbrella, 6 beach towels and a beach wagon. Outdoor 8' professional table by the pool and outdoor TV.

We are thrilled that you are looking at spending some time with us at Athena Ares Condominiums. Our beach home is a pet friendly, family vacation rental. We give 10% discount to Military, Police, and Firemen. The traveler securing the reservation must be 25 years of age or older. For Spring Break / Semana Santa all rental guests must comply with a family's only restriction. If the dates that you are looking for are not available in this condo, we have 5 more fantastic condos in the same great complex that might work for your dates. We would appreciate the opportunity to accommodate your stay on the island.

Perfect spot

The condo is in a perfect spot. Across from the beach, close to everything. We enjoyed everything about the condo. Comfortable bed, clean, great balcony, refreshing pool, perfect distance to the beach. And.. we got to bring our animals! Thank you for a great vacation.

Family Beach Getaway

We enjoyed our stay at Athena Ares! The amenities were great, condo was spacious enough for our family of 4 plus our dog Max, and location was right across the street from a beach access. Was a fun family getaway, thanks again.

Awesome stay Mothers Day weekend

Pool area is nice, upgraded pool and patio furniture is great. Condo is clean, parking is close. On first impression the hot tub looked like it was very dirty, however it was simply stained or perhaps ready for resurfacing. The beds were comfy, everything was nice. Paperwork is a lot but that seems to be standard with VRBO . If anything I would suggest repairs to hot tub and to the lock boxes . Took a lot ofTime to get my keys because the boxes are rusty and hard to manipulate. I would say 4.8 / 5 and look forward to next stay .

Labor Day weekend

Family getaway for Labor Day weekend. The property is a block away from one of the beach access points to come and go easily. My mistake was staying on the 3rd floor, there were 5 other units to choose from. The space was great for our small family and 2 dogs. It has washer/dryer, dishwasher and fully stocked kitchen. The area is quiet and the bedrooms have blinds to shut out sunlight to sleep in if needed. The balcony was a nice place to have some coffee in the morning or a drink in the afternoon. There is a hot tub, pool and outside covered kitchen area. There is a tv but we werent able to use it. Im not sure if the remote needed batteries or if the spectrum service wasnt working correctly. We ended up watching our college football game in the condo. The pool table that is next to the covered kitchen was covered to protect from the elements. There is also a nice fridge to store drinks or wine. An unexpected surprise were two bathrooms by the pool area. There are also two outdoor showers, one by the pool and one by the back of the buidling by the staircase. They did have chairs, umbrella and a wagon to take to the beach. If you dont want to mess with hauling things to the beach, there was a set up available by Clayton's (further North on the island). It cost $40 for two loungers and an umbrells, we could stay until 6pm and arrived at 1100 am. Overall we had a relaxing stay.

Awesome place to stay!

This condo was fantastic!! I would highly recommend staying here. We had 4 adults and 2 kids, and had plenty of room. The condo was super clean, the beds were ultra comfy, and kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed. But really the best feature was how close it was to the beach. It truly was only a 2 minute walk. Plus, the wagon, chairs, and beach towels that came with the condo made beach life so much easier and more comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

Favorite Vacation Spot

We have been coming to this condo rental for countless years and it never disappoints. Very clean, comfortable, with great amenities, easy to process, and great proximity to the beach. My kids loved having access to a pool in addition to the beach. Great setup for cleaning off sandy beach items. I really appreciate having a kitchen with full refrigerator, microwave, oven, and dishwasher. We usually bring our own beach gear but we appreciate the provided beach towels (we use them for the pool) and the beach gear in case we forget something. I also really appreciate that there are two parking spots reserved for each unit. I highly recommend any of the units in this complex. Thanks for another great vacation!

Great Location/Great Home

We had an amazing stay at Athena Ares this past week. Condo was perfect location to the beach (1minute walk across the street) and condo was spacious enough for our family of 4 and dog. Loved that we had two dedicated parking spots right in the front. Huge benefit was having the wagon and beach chairs available to use and not having to bring those from home with us. Property manager Sandy was so incredibly sweet and brought me some spare light bulbs. Kitchen was fully stocked with all the cooking utensils you would need. Would absolutely stay here again on our next trip.

Just right

The process for renting, check in and check out were absolutely fantastic and easy. The location was a three minute walk to the beach and the neighborhood street was very well maintained. The two bedroom condo was also very well maintained and very clean. I will definitely keep this location on my top 5 for staying at the island with pets.

Always a pleasure to stay here

The property is always is excellent condition. Clean, stocked with all beach needs. Dog friendly is great. Owners are great people. Have stayed here half dozen times over the years. Great place, great location.

Great location

The place was very nice and close to everything! The furniture was comfortable and having access to beach chairs and wagon was fantastic! Be sure to bring your own coffee and toiletries though.

Great place, great location

Always clean. One minute walk to the beach. Pool area is always clean, good grill, nice large screen outdoor Tv. Have rented here 5 times over last decade, the new owners have upgraded this place.

B-Day Vacation

Our stay at Athena Ares was PERFECT! The condo was beyond beautiful. Amber was amazing answering all my questions and making sure we had what we needed. The neighborhood was quiet and the walk to the beach was short and easy. I loved that our dogs got to enjoy a vacation with us without being cooped up in a hotel room. The pool area was amazing. We are already making plans for next year.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Everything was very clean and condo was just as advertised. Excellent location. If you plan on doing much cooking you may want to bring some extra storage containers for leftover food. There were a few burned out lightbulbs which made the kitchen a little dark for cooking. We were unable to find replacements and the owners didnt respond - not a big issue and that would be our only complaint. Would definitely recommend and stay again. Pool area was great!

The condo was perfect! It is in a great location, very clean and comfortable, and included everything we needed for the week. We loved the pool, outdoor kitchen & pool table. We would definitely stay here again!

Perfect location on the Island

We have stayed at this property 5x in 8 years. They have been doing upgrades each year and they are greatly appreciated. Perfect location for beach walks. Wonderful heated pool and large hot tub. Love that it is dog friendly. Ample parking. Nice patios on each unit.

The location is great! We can easily head back to the condo for lunch or just to grab more digging stuff. Then it's just a 1-2 minute walk back across the street and we are there, in the water! We also love walking down to the Wanna Wanna Inn for fried shrimp, cold beer, and good music. When our family comes to visit, we stay in all of the condos and spread out. We get to enjoy being close together without listening to each other snore!
