Even aside from spending some hours in the sun in your own backyard and around your own private pool, there is so much to do within a walk, or a fun short ride in your golf cart …
• Walk or golf cart to the Puerto Aventura Beach Club ... swim in the ocean or one of the resort pools, bake on the Riviera beach, then take a well deserved break from sunbathing in the swim up bar …
• Golf … a lovely 9 hole Puerto Aventura Golf course is right there, in fact you back onto the bunkers on the 5th hole (so stop by your own Casa for a drink on the way through) … they will look after you well, and they offer rental clubs if that’s more convenient … www.puertoaventurasgolfcourse.com in addition there’s a full length driving range and a 9 hole ‘pitch & putt’, even lit up for some after dinner fun
• There are also spectacular PGA courses, like Mayakoba (on the PGA Tour) or PGA Riviera Maya … outside the community but within a 30 minute drive
• Tennis … the Puerto Aventura Golf Club is actually also a Tennis Club, offering synthetic grass courts, and lighting if your preference is to play in the cooler early evenings
• Swim with the dolphins … whether you participate, or just to watch the fun, it’s a 10 minute walk away … www.dolphindiscovery.com
• Deep sea fishing … many great fishing charters
• Scuba diving & snorkeling … this coast offers some of the most renowned reefs for scuba diving and snorkeling in the world, local dive masters will take you right from the Puerto Aventura harbour for dives you will never forget, just off the coast, or across the strait off Cozumel … www.diveaventuras.com
• Catamaran tours … morning, afternoon, or sunset cruises … it’s literally a five minute walk away, and so many choices
• Local arts & crafts … shop the countless artisan shops that line the harbour’s edge and in the small town … and each Wednesday and Saturday afternoon check out the farmers & artisan market
• Night life … after a sumptuous dinner in a local restaurant or in your own casa dining room, go for a stroll into town and enjoy the night life, with various pubs offering their own entertainment, join in the fun of Karaoke if that’s your thing, or just stroll and people watch, it is impossible to not have fun …
Things to do … for a day trip, a drive (or taxi ride) away … there is so much to do, here are just a few of our favourites:
• World class golf … is a short drive away, whether the Greg Norman designed PGA tour Mayakoba course, or the Robert Trent Jones Bahia Principe, the Nick Price designed Grand Coral or the PB Dye designed Playa Paraiso, they all offer a spectacular day on the golf course
• The ancient Mayan ruins of Chichen Itza are a must see day trip … one of the largest Mayan cities ever built, and one of Mexico’s most important archeological sites
• Playa del Carmen’s 5th Avenue … easily spend a day browsing the famous pedestrian shopping street …
• A dinner and night out with Cirque de Soleil is a 30 minute drive (or taxi ride away), and something you will never forget … their show ‘Joya’ is just that … www.cirquedusoleil.com/mexico/mexico-city/shows
• Xcaret … an eco-archaeological park is a wonderful day trip for adults and children alike, view birds and butterflies, spot the monkeys and macaws, swim in a lagoon, explore an underground river, hike through the jungle and visit archaeological sites … www.xcaret.com
What to eat … like us, we know guests love staying in their own private Casa, but sometimes miss the convenience of a resort where they don't have to cook.
For breakfast you may want to do your own thing, or stroll the street to a local restaurant (we love Lara & Luca for breakfast). For dinner consider mixing it up too, try a few restaurants, and have some dinners catered to your own dining table. Some guests with young children may like the fact that they have the option of arranging a dinner to be catered for the adults in the group after they have put the kids to bed … you have so many choices …
• a five minute stroll (or less in your golf cart) brings you to La Caleta… a lovely restaurant on the water’s edge serving breakfast from 7am through dinner or drinks well into the evening, often with local entertainment …
• also a five minute walk away is Pelican Point, the finest seafood restaurant in Puerto Aventuras, where chef/owner Guillermo will look after you in style, from the morning’s catch ... with his own fishing boat and crew that go out each morning, there is nothing like the freshness of the seafood and fish that Chef Guillermo cooks with …
• or walk another couple of minutes and you have an array of restaurants and pubs that cater to every taste.
• if you just want to stay in your own private Casa Bella, and if you love to cook, there is a fully equipped kitchen waiting for you, and if you prefer, and plan ahead, we will arrange provisioning for you from the full service Chedraui grocery store in town, and have the kitchen and fridge stocked for you.
• or stay in your Casa Bella, but have someone else do the cooking, we can arrange that for you too ... there are some outstanding local chefs that are happy to bring a lovely dinner to your dining table at Casa Bella.

Perguntas frequentes
Sobre o anfitrião
Anfitrião: Rob Brouwer
We are from Toronto, Canada but have been vacationing in Mexico for decades ... we fell in love with this Puerto Aventuras community and this brand new beautiful house in 2019, spent the first year furnishing and decorating it, and have been enjoying it with friends and family ever since ... when we aren't enjoying it we love to share it
Por que o anfitrião escolheu essa propriedade
a number of things led us to embrace Puerto Aventuras ... obviously the Mexican climate and that its an ocean front community ... but what makes Puerto Aventuras stand out for us is the feeling of safety with the tightly controlled community access control and private security in the community, and the abundance of restaurants and things to do right in the community ... and the proximity to a variety of other local attractions for day trips
O que faz essa propriedade ser única?
we were charmed by this particular house again for a host of reasons ... the house itself is large, bright and very private as more fully described in the property description, its on a quiet street and we can walk or golf cart to the ocean, the beach club, to golf, or to a range of great restaurants
