OCEAN BLOCK - STEPS TO THE SURF! 12 Hickman, 1 West, is part of a triplex located in South Rehoboth. This property is perfect for the family wishing to park their car and never move it. Located less than half a block to the boardwalk and beach and a short stroll from downtown Rehoboth. Offers three bedrooms each with their own TV, screened porch, washer and dryer, plus BRAND NEW A/C and heat Mini-Splits with individual controls in each bedroom. WiFi with USB electrical outlets in each room! Plug in your device WITHOUT an adaptor! Boogie boards and numerous bikes of all sizes available to use at your own risk w/addendum. One parking space in the driveway provided, plus 2 on-street Rehoboth Beach Parking Permits. Shared rear yard. Will rent full weeks in season and full weeks and weekends in the off-season. No Pets.
Guests pay $150 cleaning fee for stays less than 7 nights. Sheets/towels/paper products are not included, linens are available for rent.
Guests must choose to purchase a $70 Vacation Rental Damage Insurance policy covering $3,000.00 in accidental damage or pay a refundable security deposit of $2,000.00. Policies of a lesser amount are not acceptable.
We accept Mastercard, Visa, American Express and Discover Credit Cards and eChecks for your initial deposit. We also accept personal checks for final payments. Final payments are due 30 days prior to your check-in date. NOTE: Any payments within 30 days of arrival require to be in certified funds or by credit card. You will be provided a link to a Guest Portal where you can securely make your payments online.

VRBO BOOKINGS: This property is hosted by the management company noted as owner on this site. After booking the property you will be charged a booking fee by VRBO. ALL other fees and the rental amount will be charged by the management company and paid to the management company. Once you have booked on VRBO, you will be contacted by a representative from the management company via phone or email and you will be sent a Lodging Agreement that must be signed to confirm your reservation. Apart from damage protection, all fees associated with the booking are displayed in the VRBO booking. Unless indicated otherwise, Linens/Towels and paper products are NOT INCLUDED. Guests may rent Linens/Towels through the hosting company or bring their own.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been staying at this property for 30 years. The location is fantastic...close to the beach and close to the town's shops and restaurants. We don't use our car for the whole vacation. And the property seems to get better each year with thoughtful additions to the house. The house is attractive, comfortable, and in good condition. The only problem we have is that our vacation gets earlier every year as the realtors don't ever adjust the calendar. What once was a 2 weeks in July vacation is now a mostly June vacation. Frustrating!

The ocean block location was ideal. We could easily go to the beach with whomever was ready.The three bedrooms also worked out well. The 3 & 6-year-old were in one room, mom & dad & infant in the second room, and grandma & grandpa in the third room.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD WAS QUIET AND ENJOYED SITTING ON THE FROMT PORCH. THE KITCHEN WAS STOCKED WITH EVERYTHING YOU COULD POSSIBLY NEED. THE REST OF THE UNIT WAS CLEAN AND SPACIOUS.

Hurricane Weekend!

We came into Rehoboth for a family wedding just in time for a hurricane too! My daughter and I moved into the property Friday evening with three young children (5, 4, and 2) amidst the wind and rain. The house was cozy and reasonably well appointed. It was incredibly convenient to the beach and the boards as well as other places we needed to get to. Beds were comfortable too. Downside - hardwood floors were pretty, but gross with a persistent sticky moisture and gritty sand that stuck to it. We are a "no shoes in the house" family, so the sand was not tracked in by us. Even sweeping and vacuuming the floors did not help with this. It is time to consider carpet or a different finish on the floor! The upstairs bath also had black mold growing along the caulked edge and the plastic bath mat was filthy with black mold. The drain protector was also full of hair and soap. No excuse for this!!

The only negative I have about the house was the floors were filthy dirty. We are a bare foot family but we had to wear shoes because of the shape of the floors. Our feet were black after walking on the floors.

Good Space for the 5 of us

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property was great. There were 5 of us staying in the home. We entertained 15 adults for a pizza party one evening and everyone had a place to sit and was comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped. The dinning area has two tables pushed together to form one big table with seating for 10 but up to 12 with two sharing a bench. The bedrooms are tight with basically no usable dressers to store clothes in. If I stay again I will likely bring a mattress pad because we had one person in each room with two in the King size bed and everyone said the beds were adequate but not that comfortable (old spring mattresses). Our rental agent was fantastic as always. This is my 3rd or 4th year renting from BHHS/Jamie Riddle.

Amazing Stay!

The location of this bnb is perfect! Within walking distance to the beach, boardwalk, and shops. The house was very clean and came with more than what we expected! Our toddler will be 2 yrs old at the end of May and it was our first official vacation as a family of three. We brought a few of her toys and books with us but to our surprise there were children's books, toys, a tricycle, beach toys, a large wagon to put our stuff in and for her to ride down to the beach. In the description on Vrbo if mentioned there are bikes available to ride so we didn't expect the extras! There are several bikes (all different sizes), even one with a toddler seat on the back! There's also a bike pump, tools, and beach chairs. I do wish there were bike locks but it wasn't a big deal. We kept them with us at all times. The space under the staircase had drawstring bags to carry things with you if needed. The kitchen was fully equipped with cookware, utensils, and dish washer. Nice bathrooms and good water pressure. The bedroom closet had a standing fan and hairdryer available. There's a clothesline outback, with a picnic table, and grill. The shower room outback is nice but didn't have a handle or knob to be able to use it. Someone left shampoos and things there but the shower was not usable. Having a bathroom beside the back door was helpful though! Our daughter loved seeing the bunnies that frequent the area! We'll def stay here again sometime!

Absolutely everything you need for a beach weekend.

Beds are very comfortable, ample extra pillows and blankets. Many racks and hooks to keep your stay organized. Loved the front porch. Plenty of seating for dinner and we all watched the game comfortable in the living room. Would definitely return. Best attribute: it is very clean.

Perfect Holiday

We had a lovely stay here! Everything was as described, plus little thoughtful extras, with everything labeled. The couch and beds were comfy and the kitchen easy to use. It was a great place to stay with kids because of all the extras, including a pack n play, bunk beds, bikes for all sizes, books for all ages, and games. It was also less than a block from the beach and easy to walk to everything else too. It was pretty dreamy. Be aware that the unit is in a house with another unit that shares a wall. During our stay there was another family next door that was very noisy. We didn't mind, as it was normal noisy family noises, but others might. Overall we loved our stay here and would definitely do it again!

First timer and repeat!

This property was a fantastic location for my family and I. It was walking distance to the beach and boardwalk. It was also a few blocks away from the main shops and restaurants so on this block there wasn't as many traffic and not overly crowded, perfect for families with children. The house was a good size and we are definitely repeating this trip again in the near future! Thank you!!!

Perfect quiet location, well-equipped house

We loved this location in a quieter area of town. The house is well-equipped, including the kitchen, with plenty of dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and even spices, coffee, tea, and sugar. The bikes, beach chairs, and other equipment available for use in the basement are a great addition to this rental! My only concern was that the house needed a more thorough cleaning as there were very dusty blinds, items left behind in the shower and trash under the beds and furniture.

Can’t beat the price and location

We have been staying in Rehoboth the same week for years, but this is our first time staying here. We absolutely loved the location and that the street was pretty quiet. I honestly wish we would have known about all the bikes, toys, blow dryer, etc and could have left some things at home. The upstairs stays significantly warmer than the downstairs, but the fans do help.

Great location but lots of neighbors

Price and location to beach and Rehoboth Avenue is tough to beat. I wish the full bath had been larger, newer and cleaner and that the renters next to us didn’t have about 12 kids running around. You can definitely hear your neighbor. Because the porch is split, if both renters are on their porches, their is no privacy. That being said, the owner did a great job labeling the house w clear directions and the house is well equipped. Nice TVs in each room was a great feature and beach block is awesome. It is a metered street so you cant park on the street from 10-10pm w the parking pass but just one block up or over works. There is parking for 1 car in the back. The price for the size and location makes it well worth renting again
