Coastal Retreat on Waterway w/Hot Tub

Quaint 3 bdrm 2 ba home situated on the intracoastal waterway. Want to go to the beach but don`t want to be in the mainstream of it all? We are close enough but far enough. Enjoy tranquil moon lit nights listening to dolphins as they swim by. By day, lounge on the porch, pergola, hot tub or dock and watch the parade of boats pass by. For the fishing enthusiasts an array of fish can be caught from the dock to incl, sheep`s head, flounder, puppy drum, speckled trout, blue fish, crabs and more.

This beautiful 3 bedroom 2 bath waterfront home is located on the intracoastal waterway. If you love boating this is the place to view boats of all sorts and sizes to include multi-million dollar luxury yachts to barges over 200 ft long. This section of the waterway connects the Pamilco Sound to the Atlantic Ocean. The designer kitchen features granite countertops, stainless steel appliances to include gas cooktop, dishwasher, microwave, garbage disposal, water filter faucet and USB outlets in bar. The livingroom offers a gas fireplace for cool nights and TV with Bose surround sound. The master bedroom features a king bed and private full bath. For those that have Verizon cell service we have a Verizon cell service extender, so you`ll enjoy 4 to 5 bars of service! Say hey to the neighborhood dog Lucy. She`s sure to pay you a visit.

The entire home with the exception of one closet. The garage is locked and will not available for guest access. There is a community pool. To access the pool you would have to buy a pass at the Marina. The pass is $10 per day.

While we wont be there in person we are a phone call away. Please don`t hesitate to call us at any hour for emergencies.

The home is located in the Sea Gate Community which features a marina, boat dock, boat storage/slips, auto/marine fuel and convenient store. There is also a play ground and community pool available.

Home has a Verizon cell phone extender.

The listing and the previous reviews are spot on. This is a great place to retreat from the chaos of life. Enjoy taking a deep breath of coastal air, watch the boats go by, see stars that you can not see if you live in town, admire the graceful movements of dolphins, relax in the hot tub, etc. We can not wait to go back again.

Weekend getaway

Once I booked the trip I was immediately contacted by Greg, the host. Greg provided very detailed information regarding check in and area information. We arrived the day of check in and were very pleased with the location, house and area. The house was perfect for myself and my wife, my daughter and son in law and my two grandkids ages 2 months old and a 3 year old. My 3 year old grandson loved the dock. He enjoyed watching the big boats go by and fishing from the dock. Inside the house was very spacious. Tastefully decorated giving a welcoming and homey feel. Bedrooms were all nicely sized and no where in the house did we feel cramped. The screened in back porch was amazing as well providing a wonderful spot to sit and relax while looking over the water. There is a marina a very short drive away (less than two minutes) that has snacks and drinks and overnight parking for our boat. Very quiet community and very little outside traffic. Overall this place is perfect and I would highly recommend!

Wonderful spot

Lovely view of water with lots of boats and a few dolphins to watch go by from the screened porch or the waterside dock. I enjoyed the quiet. The teenager enjoyed the beach and shops 30 minute drive away. Really well equipped cooks’ kitchen. Grill and hot tub were wonderful.

Restful retreat on the river

We and our small dog had a wonderful time! Greg was a great host, very good communication. The screened porch overlooking the river was the highight! We saw dolphins, pelicans, ospreys and boats.

Beautiful House!

The hosts were amazing from check in to check out, calling and messaging to make sure everything was good. The house is beautiful, very well equipped, and was very clean. We were provided with ample linens and towels. The dock by the intracoastal waterway was a great place to fish and it was cool to watch the boats go by. Overall it was a great place to stay!

Relaxation Paradise

Nice home in a great location on the water. The home has everything you could possibly need It is close enough to Beaufort but far enough from all the crowds and traffic. We enjoyed fishing from the dock when we were not out in our boat on the water.

Beautiful coastal home

As advertised house on the intercoastal waterway. 20 min to Beaufort or Morehead. House has fully stocked kitchen ready for cooking. All seasonings and cookware one needs. Boats pass by often during the day which makes for a relaxing experience if staying at tbe home. Owner was very easy to communicate with and always available. Recommend staying here

Peaceful getaway

Hidden Gem!

Snuggled back on a quiet creek! Excellent home with all the amenities you could ask for! Short boat ride to Beaufort and Morehead. Nice marina only a block away to launch your boat. Home was very clean and relaxing, wonderful place to stay!

quiet, flat neighborhood road was nice for walking the dog. Great for bike riding, too. I felt very safe here. People are very friendly. Streetlights, floodlights at house, neighbors nearby and well-kept neighborhood. Security code changed for each guest. Spent most of our time on the screened porch or dock. Screened porch was nice for keeping senior dog contained. Loved watching the boats go by and just looking out at the water. No houses across the waterway. Very peaceful setting. House was spacious, a lot of windows, well stocked and clean. Owner was very kind and available for a few questions I had. The marina and ship's store are within walking distance. House is less than 20 minutes from Beaufort. I took my dog to day care at Soundside Pet Resort so I could enjoy exploring, ice cream, lunch at Blackbeards Grill, shopping... Beaufort is very dog friendly. The Food Lion in Beaufort offers online ordering with pick up in the parking lot. I will definitely consider returning to this coastal retreat. I feel relaxed and refreshed after a week in this beautiful setting.

Wonderful stay

This property was so nice! As a family of four with two littles we had so much space and such a fun time. Watching all the boats go by was definitely a hit. The neighbors were very quiet-we didn’t even realize we were next to anyone. Will definitely visit again.

Getaway Beach Trip

This cottage was extremely cozy. Lovely comfortable beds, excellent equipped kitchen, perfect for the ones who love to cook. Very thoughtful little things that we needed included, like coffee, spices, sugar, salt, pepper, cooking oils etc. The location was peaceful and off the beaten track, non-touristy, which was perfect for us! Screened in porch was my favorite spot, dock was lovely our boys enjoyed fishing there. Hot tub was the greatest! Highly recommend staying here, it was above and beyond! Super lovely, friendly and helpful hosts! We had a blast! Thank you for everything! :)

Relaxing Weekend

My wife and I enjoyed a nice relaxing weekend with a couple of friends watching the boats go by from the covered dock. The location is great, the house was clean and well stocked and the host was a pleasure to work with.

We love to travel and enjoy various activities such as skiing, biking, hiking, fishing and lots of other outdoor activities. We choose this home in Newport due to its close proximity to Beaufort and Morehead City yet far enough away to avoid mainstream traffic. We have created so many great memories at our Coastal Retreat we decided to share this property with hopes you'll enjoy it as much as we do.

Perfectly situated on the intra-coastal waterway. The home is cozy and scenic with views of the dolphins and bait fish that go up and down the water way as well as the boat traffic. We also enjoy the beach, fishing and boating.
