This house is on a small side channel of the North River, with a considerable marsh next to it. It's a quiet peaceful spot with gorgeous sunsets and especially sunrises. It's a ten minute drive or so into the main part of Beaufort. The house is comfortable and clean. We all agreed the beds were comfortable. The kitchen has all the basics (though no salt--bring your own) and the porch is wonderful for sitting outside and taking in the view. There are a few small maintenance issues that I expect will be fixed very soon. But over all it's just a great place--we have stayed here several times. And personally my favorite thing is sitting on the porch taking pictures of all the interesting birds!

Family vacation

We stayed here while doing the numerous boat tours that leave out of Beaufort. Sand dollar island, Blackbeards Revenge and a boat ride to Carrot Island, this house was the perfect location!

We had the best experience with this rental! Emily was very responsive with getting back to all the questions I had. The house was in the perfect location, quiet & beautiful view. My son was able to fish and be outside so he was in heaven! We plan to visit again soon

Weekend Getaway

The stay is perfect as always. Property is very clean, very lovely place to stay. This is the only place we stay when going to Morehead. Communication is easy and could always get a quick answer if you have a question or concern. Beautiful scenery from the deck!

Convenient, clean, but house sways badly!

My family and I were in town for a wedding. This house was convenient to everything in Beaufort. Beautiful water views. I must leave an honest review and prepare others for their stay though. This house swayed very badly. So much so our 18 y/o woke up in the middle of the night crying. There was 6 of us and we all felt it, especially when sleeping and using the bathroom. I would like to think the owners and/or property manager are aware of this, but we were not. As long as you're okay with rocking at night and feeling like you're on a boat in the middle of the ocean, you should be fine.

Great vacation house for people who want to be close to the coast

We had a wonderful time. We love to fish and we carried our boat so we put it in several times in different locations. Downtown Beaufort and Morehead city is just minutes away as is many restaurants and grocery stores as well so everything was very accessible. The house was well decorated for the beach vibe and the air worked very well and that in its self was a blessing to me as I can be very hot natured The neighbors were quite and the place was very peaceful. We stood out on the deck everyday watching the tide come in and go back out and watched many many different birds searching for food with the moving tides We could watch the sun rise over the water through the glass doors or on the deck with morning coffee and my only complaint would be that we needed more time there Although nothing to do with the house but the fees I felt were a little high compared to some others but thatā€™s the way it goes I suppose but I would stay again sometime and I hope we can

The property is great as always. Always clean and all the things you needed for a family vacation. The fishing in the backyard is always a plus. Check in and out is always smooth and never had an issue during our stays.

Great weekend get away

My family had a wonderful stay at the property. This is a great place to stay for a quiet, peaceful retreat and was only 10 minutes away from downtown Beaufort. Far enough away to enjoy the serenity of the Sound's natural habitats, close enough to the towns and cities to enjoy local restaurants and the beaches. Would definitely return to this spot.

Perfect quiet area

We loved our stay! It was perfect. Very quiet area. The house was extremely clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed (towels, washcloths, pillows, blankets) to have an enjoyable week vacation. The host was very pleasant to communicate with. If you needed anything she was a phone call or text away. Definitely will book again next year.

Lovely river-side home

My husband, dog, and I had a great stay at this home. It's a beautiful house right on the river. The view is absolutely incredible from almost all directions. The house was clean and smelled incredible when we arrived. There were towels and linens in all the room, cable tv, every cooking item (pans, pots, utensils, etc) you could need. We loved sitting out on the deck watching the river, especially all the water birds in the marsh. My husband used the grill several times, it worked great. There are several good local food places nearby, it's also very near the shore/ocean. We drove about 20 mins to Fort Macon and visited the beach, which was beautiful. The owner was very responsive to messages and answered all our questions. All in all a great place for a peaceful, relaxing trip. Our dog loved it, too!

Get Away from the hustle while being close

This property was all that it was described to be and more. Immaculate and perfectly located with great views. we were torn about spending time on excursions or dining out or just sitting on the deck and taking in a great view. Property manager was responsive friendly and committed to our having a great time. A fabulous host. this is a can't miss opportunity.

Thee Perfect Vacation Spot

WOW, is just one way to describe this amazing get away from home!! Everything is as described but even better. The home is extremely clean, smelled wonderful and cozy. Double car-port was great for us because there was 2 couples. The view from the upstairs porch or sitting under the carport was calming and gorgeous!! The kitchen was fully stocked also if you want to cook like we did. You can fish in the canal right at the house and YES I caught one!!! Emily the Owner was super sweet, communicated with me the whole time I was there. If I could rate this VRBO a 10 I would!!!!!
