Set at 800 feet elevation, Casa Gandhi offers commanding panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and five offshore islands. Expansive glass doors welcome refreshing ocean breezes into a light-filled home with ceiling fans in every room. Begin your mornings sipping coffee while watching scarlet macaws and howler monkeys serenade the sunrise. Explore the lush grounds filled with tropical flora and fauna, including agouti, coati, sloths, and white-faced monkeys. Explore the private rainforest trail that leads to our secluded waterfall, where you can take a refreshing dip in the natural pool and enjoy a peaceful picnic surrounded by the sounds of nature.

The main house offers two beautifully appointed, air-conditioned bedroomsā€”each with its own en suite bathroom, plush bedding, and serene garden or ocean viewsā€”ensuring a peaceful and luxurious nightā€™s rest. For additional comfort and privacy, the property also includes two fully air-conditioned guest houses: one with a separate living area and sleeper sofa, ideal for families or couples traveling together.

Where do you start??? This place was amazing!! From start to finish Christine and her team made this stay special. After a short drive up the mountain you arrive at paradise to say the least. The views are the best Iā€™ve ever seen, pool and outside space left us in awe, the inside open air design was fun to enjoy early mornings. Kevin the chef was top notch and made the best Banana bread. We will be back soonā€¦. Every expectation was far exceeded, Thanks to Christine and the team!!

We absolutely loved everything about this house. The view was amazing. We were surrounded by the rainforest with tons of animals and birds. It is very private and quiet but it is close enough to the town of Uvita to get groceries or go to restaurants or the national park to see whales. It is extremely well stocked and comfortable. The outside bathtub is fabulous. Tom and Christine were very responsive and helpful to all our questions and the caretakers Elberth and Marilyn were so helpful and sweet. We would love to come back to this house and would recommend it highly to anyone who wants a relaxing, peaceful, comfortable place to enjoy Costs Rica.

Beautiful home surrounded by nature

We loved the home. Caretaker and housekeeper were great and extremely responsive. There are not miles of hiking trails on the property however, if there were,they were overgrown and impassable. That was disappointing.

Stunning "Outdoor" Property

We stayed 3 nights in this magical oasis of a house. The view of the ocean and the privacy the house affords could not be any better. The sliding glass walls were the best for opening up the kitchen and family room to the outdoors and pool. The birds and night life were amazing to look at and hear. The hiking behind the house was amazing for wildlife as we saw scorpions, poisonous dart frogs and some amazing birds. We highly recommend this property if you are looking for an escape that provided a total outdoor experience.

Amazing! Beautiful! Relax and play - something for everyone. The drive up is beautiful (you do need 4x4). The house and surroundings perfect. We heard and saw monkeys and so many birds and butterflies! Tom and Christine were so accomadating and helpful. Enjoyed an amazing day snorkeling with Pacific Expeditions. The house has everything you need. The pool and porch were enjoyed morning, noon, and night. Unplug the TV when you get there and enjoy Pura VIda! Hope to return.

Beautiful Property with Stunning Views

Casa Ghandi was the perfect layout for our group of 8 adults/4 couples. The Ocean and Jungle casitas gave us space to spread out with the main house and pool our central gathering point with its amazing view of the Pacific. The chef (Juan Pueblo) and excursion recommendations (booked through Pacific Expeditions) made our week-long stay a wonderful adventure. With temperatures about 10 degrees above normal for much of the week, the air conditioning was very welcome for many members of our group. And last, Christine and Tom are exceptional property managers - without exception, quick and thorough response in the months leading up to and during our trip. Mucho gracias!

We will be back!

There were 5 adults in our party, and every single one of us loved this beautiful home and its setting. The home is beautifully appointed with everything we needed for our stay. It is very clean and easy to maintain. Christine and Tom went above and beyond, responding promptly and with good communication the few times we connected with them. We highly recommend staying here because it is a stunning home, situated perfectly in the Costa Rican forest. We regularly saw toucans, macaws, and many other local wildlife. It is a quick drive to groceries, restaurants, and activities. We stayed for a full week and we were not ready to leave this corner of paradise.

Amazing Private Luxury in the Jungle

This is my second stay with Jaguar properties. Casa Ghandi was spectacular with the most jaw dropping views while being tucked in the jungle. From poolside we saw toucans, scarlet macaws a variety of parrots and howler monkeys. Tom and Christine are legends and make the check in and out process, painless. We also had the poolside masseuse and private chef, all arranged through Jaguar. The house managers kept it clean and inviting and always respected our privacy. We opted for the house dog to visit, and Luna was a blessing to have stop by each day. Get a good four wheel drive, whatsapp and be ready for an unforgettable holiday we can't wait to return to paradise.

The property and area was absolutely amazing.

Christina made our stay easy and pleasant. She was in contact with me days before my arrival and after I left to make sure we arrived to the airport safely and on time. The drivers and chef provided were extremely professional and were always on time for any services. The view of the ocean from the house is impeccable. The sound of nature that surrounds the property is music to your ears. The house felt like I was directly in the middle of nature. The house is surrounded by vegetation and the restrooms were outside. We enjoyed being at the property so much that we spent most of our time by the pool. The caretakers were also so helpful. The Costa Rican people are so nice and and sweet. Thanks Christina for making my birthday memorable!

Heaven on Earth!

My husband, adult son and I had the most peaceful, calming, and beautiful vacation we have ever had at Casa Gandhi! It was even more beautiful than the pictures. The brilliant sunrises and sunsets were the most dramatic I have ever seen. The humming sounds of the jungle were so calming. The house had everything you need. Inside and out, the views were incredible! Elberth, the caretaker was delightful. He was a wealth of information and checked to make sure everything was perfect. Christine and Tom, from Jaguar management, arranged a perfect vacation for us from booking, expeditions, car rentals, resources and recommendations. They met us after dark to guide us up to the house and explain all its features. They were the perfect hosts! We will be returning to Casa Gandhi! Thank you for the beautiful experience! The property was clean, beautiful, relaxing and in perfect condition. We plan to return our visit once again! The managers Tom and Christine treated us like family and we were able to ask questions and get immediate responses. They are our go-to people whenever we visit Costa Rica for this very reason.

First Time to Costa Rica

My family of 8 enjoyed 2 weeks here to celebrate my sonā€™s 19th birthday and his graduation from high school. What an amazing experience! We loved the house, the property managers were great, the caretaker and his family were awesome and the concierge service was very good. We canā€™t wait to come back.

One of a Kind

What an incredible setting and just an amazing house! Christine is the best...she made our stay perfect. She's on top of it all. The view of the ocean from the house is second to none. The sound of nature, an afternoon storm..it's all just magical. The house makes you feel one with nature. The showers are open to the jungle as well...so cool. The caretakers (and Costa Rican's) are also the sweetest people around. We can't say enough about how incredible the property is.
