you’re so glad you liked the size of our house. We made sure to make an incredible kitchen and gigantic great room, even and 8 smaller bedrooms. We are so blessed to have a parking lot that fits 30-50 cars. This amenity is left over from the days Forest Cottage used to be a preschool. I’m glad that when you locked yourself out of the bedroom (doors were not jammed—they are fine) you were able to locate the room key in one of the three locations we keep sets of room keys. We love hosting large groups and look forward to your return.

I’m so glad the ladies got to enjoy the peace and calm of the Forrest. We’ve had lots of yoga retreats, religious youth retreats, runners’ retreats and business retreats here. It is a perfect place for groups.

Kids love Forest Cottage! The play house, swings, slide, and outdoor drinking fountain are always a hit with children!

I’m glad you got to burn a cozy fire and utilize our huge game pantry for indoor activity. The playground is wonderful fun in dry weather—Especially the swings playhouse and slide.

I love Owl Creek, the American River--both the north and south forks and their confluence! Todd Pond is 1 mile away with bathrooms, tables and a nature walk, Upper and Lower Lake Clementine are amazing, and Morning Star lake and Sugarpine Reservoir are tops! All within minutes of Forest Cottage.

We love the ample pantry storage under the breakfast nook window for all your fruit, potatoes, bread and paper ware. Six empty large drawers! We just put a third fridge in room 8 (a mini) We love that you want to return to Forest Cottage Large Group Retreat. You’re always welcome here with your group!

We are so glad the children found things to do indoors at Forest Cottage. Rain or shine, the gaming closet at the cottage is a gold mine for kids. Besides the 50 board games and 5 TVs, kids can also find a group parachute, a tug-of-war rope, and even a TeePee in its arsenal of indoor activities.
