The Black Bear Lodge is a premier private rental home in Breckenridge! This Mountain Lodge is secluded, yet easy to access and only 1 mile from the Peak 9 lifts and the heart of downtown Breckenridge. Surrounded by tall pines, you still catch ski area views of peaks 8, 9 and 10. Venture outside and experience a mountain stream (Blue River) that runs adjacent to the property and flows year round. A New Trail allows you to walk directly from the property to downtown Breckenridge! (Summertime)

Black Bear Lodge

This place is great. Location is perfect - close to town and the setting was very good. The home was comfortable, cozy and yet spacious. The bedrooms were all very comfortable and roomy and each had a private bath. We had wonderful evenings cooking in the very well-appointed kitchen and large table for meals to accommodate my entire family. Jane was easy to communicate with although we did not need to once we checked in. My family thoroughly enjoyed it and would love to come back.

Huge home close to downtown Breck

We had an amazing time hosting a family reunion at Jane's Black Bear lodge in the beginning of August. We had 5 couples and one dog. This house was the perfect space for our gathering - large kitchen and dinning table, big open living room, and everyone had their own en suite. The house was surprisingly quiet - we could sleep-in without being woken up by others milling about in the kitchen. And the location was great - secluded from neighbors with a lot of space for the dog to run around. Also, just about a 15-20 minute walk to Main St...we walked into town every day. Jane was easy to communicate with and very responsive. I highly recommend this rental for large group vacations.

Fabulous Thanksgiving Vacation Spot

We had a wonderful stay. The home exceeded our expectations. The layout was great for a large family, extremely clean and situated on a wonderful private wooded lot that was close to town. Jane, our host was welcoming and very hospitable.

Great large house for friends and family

Had four families at Black Bear for a week and it could not have been better. Tons of space, great kitchen for cooking, back porch and hot tub were great at night. Will be back.

Black Bear Lodge wins in a landslide

So many great things to say about the Black Bear Lodge! Private location first and foremost, plus just a quick walk to Main St. Breck. Check in was a breeze and a pot of soup was waiting for us after a long day of driving. The lodge was very clean and well kept. Kitchen was stocked with cooking necessities and appliances. Our host was very responsive and always helpful. Absolutely will come back if we have the chance. Well done all the way around!

Black Bear Losge

What a fantastic and beautiful property!! From booking to the welcome kit to leaving everything went so smooth The property was absolutely gorgeous. The view in the morning of all the mountains and the authentic beautiful furniture and furnishings were outstanding We had a group of 14 adults and not once did we run out of dinner ware glasses or plates All of us had our own bedrooms and bathrooms. The place honestly was perfect Only 1 mile out of town made skiing and going out at night into so easy Thank you again for making our Christmas and New Year absolutely outstanding!!

Comfortable home for a large family gathering!

We really enjoyed our stay at Black Bear Lodge. The bedroom set up was perfect for our mixed group of couples, singles and families. There was delicious soup and bread waiting for us, which was a nice treat! The home was well stocked with lots of towels, blankets, pillows, 2, possibly 3 pack n plays, several high chairs, space heaters, legos and games. While it is about a mile south of Breckenridge, we were able to get Ubers and food delivery quickly. Overall the lodge was just what we needed for our long weekend stay.

Black Bear: huge, comfortable, luxurious, convenient

We thoroughly enjoyed out stay at Black Bear Lodge, a spacious, conveniently-located and beautifully-appointed house. It was made even better by catering from Kelly at Ridge Street Kitchen, who cooked for us on two nights. Kelly's food was as perfect and fantastic as the accommodation. Support from Jane was terrific, too: we had a problem with the heating and she had it fixed within half an hour of contacting her. I would recommend this place without hesitation!

Perfect home for all ages and needs!

We were traveling with 11 adults, two one year olds, two four year olds and a theee year old. The house was perfect for sharing time together and provided privacy when needed. It is conveniently located for all the activities one could imagine. The kitchen was great, well equipped and easy to use. We traveled during the "Breckinridge Fires" and Jane was very responsive to our concerns and offered to work with us if we decided not to come. Thankfully all was good. The soup, bread and chips was the perfect welcome. Highly suggest working with Jane and her properties. When the road takes us to Colorado again we will definitely check Jane's properties first.

Fantastic property!

We had a wonderful experience at the Black Bear Lodge. We were welcomed with a warm crock-pot of apple/sausage soup and a nice note from the owners. The house is spacious with great room set-ups to handle multiple families. Everyone enjoyed the large hot tub on the porch with the beautiful trees around it. The game room was a big hit with the kids.

Beautiful house for a group of colleagues

The house is beautiful inside and out. The kitchen is large and well setup. The semi-circular great room is unbelievable comfortable.

Family Ski Vacation

Awesome home for getting family & friends together!!

I selected the Black Bear Lodge 7 months ahead of time to house 11 family members who were coming into Breckinridge for my daughter's wedding celebration so really wanted everything to be just right. It was absolutely fabulous and left every family member raving about what a great place I found. It was really conducive to having a large group without everyone feeling like they were on top of each other, as well as providing great spaces for us to congregate and enjoy being together. So, thanks Jane for making me look like a genius!! :)

A great option for large groups with kids

This past March 18 of us (10 kids) stayed at The Black Bear Lodge and had an amazing time. This house is truly an amazing option for groups with kids, specially with teenagers. The best part of it all was the home "touch" that Jane introduced to our stay. When we arrived to the house, after a long trip, we found a Welcome note from Jane and hot tomato soup, which everyone loved! We will certainly be back!!

Wonderful large house in great location!

My friends and I had an amazing stay at the Black Bear Lodge this past weekend. The house was HUGE and had plenty of space for my group of ten people. We could have easily fit 5-6 more people in that house comfortably. There was nothing this house didn't have! Every couple had their own bedroom and bathroom which was really nice. The house was a 5 minute drive from the Breckenridge ski resort/town area. There are several other ski resorts within a short drive from the house. Also, It was really nice to walk in and see a crockpot of soup sitting on the counter when we arrived, so thanks to the owners for that! We were all really hungry after the flight and drive from Denver. I would definitely stay in this place again!

Evergreen

We've been visiting Breckenridge for the last several years, and have stayed at Black Bear at least a couple of times. Our family of 15-18 (varies each stay) has always enjoyed this house. Ambience is great, makes you feel you're in Colorado, clean, comfortable, and Jane takes great care of you. We cook most of our meals and find the kitchen great for anything we want to do--well supplied and big family table. The house is big enough that we don't feel crowded so worked great for us. Highly recommend.

Excellent Vacation Rental Home

Black Bear Lodge is an ideal vacation home for a large group. The home is very spacious and has offers a number of amenities that make the stay so enjoyable. The large dining room table provided comfortable seating for all of us for meal times and was perfect for evening board games with the family. The kitchen is well supplied with a variety of utensils and plenty of place settings. The house is located in a very picturesque setting, which just made the entire vacation so much more relaxing.

I used to ride my bike out to this property..... I was always intrigued with this home; A large structure nestled in the pines at the end of a sweeping driveway. If you listen close, you will hear the rush or the gurgle of the Blue River which runs just below the home. The privacy of this location is very attractive. Once inside; I was charmed by the decor, layout and design. My Dad always wondered why I just didn't live here.... Pretty awesome.
Bike and Walking Trail to connect directly to downtown Breckenridge! Our location just keeps getting better!
