And for fun on-site, an outdoor pool is surrounded by a sundeck, while a shared grilling area is available for use as well.

The Waterville USA amusement park is just a little over a mile away, with several eateries along the route. Head east just six miles to discover all the thrills at Adventure Island, another exciting amusement park with a replica volcano that regularly 'erupts' for visitors. And for outdoor fun, hike or bike the trails that wind through the 6,500 acres of Gulf State Park, less than two miles from your front door.

Great experience

Condo was in a great location situation within walking distance from stores and restaurants. Overall condition was great smart tvs to watch while relaxing in evenings,elevator was always fast, pool was heated which was a game changer going in October and the beds were very comfortable as well. Only reason it's not a 5 star is because they sprayed for bugs at the facility the 1st day we arrived and it stirred up cockroaches cause on 3 separate occasions we saw cockroaches in the kitchen and only kitchen area. I would still stay here again though.

Best View of Hangout Fireworks

Great condo unit right on beach with lovely views. Complete kitchen with washer/dryer. Very comfortable beds & very convenient location to Hangout Music Fest. Evening fireworks go off right behind the building!

Great place!

We had a wonderful time here! The two issues we had were the couch and the dryer. The couch was very small and sunken in. We had a total of 4 people so if there anymore than that, seating will not be comfortable. Also, the dryer would not dry our clothes. We tried multiple settings and for long periods of time and it would not work. We also cleaned the filter, but that didn’t help. Overall, it’s a great place for the amount we paid. Beautiful ocean view!

Tropic Isles Condo #501

Location and beach were great. Condo is poorly furnished. The master bed need to be replaced and the mattress is cheap, hard, and well worn. Pillows were cheap foam pillows. Bedding was very heavily used and showed it. The couch was very broken in and you sunk in when you sat in it. Not a decent knife in the place for preparing food. Skillets were well worn and scratched up. Cheap paper towels and toilet paper. Kitchen applicances were OK. Furnishings on the balcony were nice. A couple of cheap beach umbrellas in the pantry. I wouldn't rent there again unless the beds, and couch were replaced. Kitchen could be better furnished. You can find better kitchen ware at Goodwill. Owners should invest several thousand dollars to replace the worn our furnishings. Perhaps they are just milking the unit for all the cash it will generate.

Quick Labor Day Getaway

Location was great, right on the beach! Pool was lovely! Unit needs some updating, though. For the rate, we expected a little more luxury in the bedding and furniture. If you had four guests, I’m not sure where they would sit to watch tv! Kitchen was functional and showers were good.

First time at Gulf Shores

This was our first time in Gulf Shores. The unit was clean and amazing. This was also our first condo, an upgrade from a hotel room! There were beach chairs, umbrellas and all the kitchen items we needed to make the week stay so enjoyable. The only complaint is the extremely loud upstairs neighbors that came home in the early mornings and continued to party in their unit. This is no fault of 501. Would definitely rent again.

Enjoyable stay!

My family and I enjoyed our stay at Tropic Isles 501! The condo was extremely clean upon arrival. The location was great & the view was amazing from the balcony! We will definitely book through Vacasa again in the future.

Good price, good stay

I would recommend this condo and book again . The location is great in terms of right on the beach, parking is not a problem at all, and if you are up for a stroll everything is in walking distance. The floors were a bit dirty and the decor could use some updating but appliances were good, water pressure good and everything worked. Would have liked to have a tad bit bigger bed in the second room as it was two couples booking this and having two twin size in one room wasn't ideal.

Felt at home. Cozy. Good size unit for family

We stay in this condo unit each year & have done so over the past 14 years in various units. This unit is a nice size for a family. Smaller condo project so very peaceful. Souvenir shop conveniently located just across the street. Short walking distant to The Hangout. Enjoyed our stay.

Great View of the beach!

The condo was very clean, and well maintained. The location is great - we walked to dinner a couple of evenings. And the view of the beach and both sunrises and sunsets was spectacular.

great view, great location, needs updating

Great layout and location. The view is phenomenal. Easy check in and out. Great communication before. Nice Kitchen. No hot water in kitchen sink though and the small door under the sink fell off on my foot. Someone showed up the following day to measure for it so I take it this was already being addressed. The unit needs some updating. Dated furniture in living room and décor. Over all my family and i really felt comfortable. For the asking summer prices, I feel the condo could use some updates.

Beautiful view of the ocean

Nice place to stay, pool was convenient also. Close walking distance to several restaurants. Property owner scolded us for having a cart in the doorway and threatened to charge us for any knicks or marks on the walls.

Great Stay

This is a nice condo in a great location. It's close to food and shops. Small buildings all around so the beaches were not overly crowded. I will definitely stay again.

This condo was nice view is wonderful. Needs a few updates. Pots and pans need replaced, i like to keep things tidy but couldn't clean floors properly need bigger dustpan there is only a mini one. All in all though I would recommend this condo very convenient to everything and was clean and fairly quiet.

Wonderful location

This was an extremely last minute rental due to multiple vacation issues because of Covis 19. First our theme park trip was canceled so we booked in Destin thru Vacasa. Less than a week to check in we find out they had to cancel our reservation because of the governor's ban on people from Louisiana doing short term rentals in Florida. The agent who answered my call at 5am was amazing at helping us find one of the few rentals available and saving our chance at any vacation at all. It was a little more than the previous condo and we really didn't want to spend more since we were still waiting for a refund from our original theme park trip but worth every dollar spent. This Condo was in a lovely and convenient location. It is smaller than most complexes (for us this was a plus) and only had 40 units but every unit had a gorgeous view of the beach. Parking was easy and they provide carts to help get everything up the elevator in just one to two trips. The condo itself was well stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals. The pool was smaller but perfect for us since we have a small child. Because you are on the beach it is convenient to go back to the condo for meals. Due to a refrigerator delivery mishap on Sear's behalf we ended up getting to meet the actual Condo owner who was very pleasant and apologized for any inconveniencethe incident caused, which honestly was not any. The location is just a 5 to 10 minute drive to Walmart, Rouses or Publix and in walking distance to restaurants, ice cream shops, souvenir stores, a small grocery store, a Dollar General, and even the popular hang out spot "The Hangout", not really the best food but great for live music and drinks. It even has sand pit for the kids to play just off the outside dining area. Just be ready to deal with some obnoxious college kids that can get a bit loud. While in the area we do suggest driving 15 minutes up the beach to "The Gulf" restaurant. it was a lovely laid back hang out with relaxed and upscale atmosphere. My kids loved it was made out of shipping containers. Key pick up and drop off was easy the only thing we would have preferred was a key pad lock so we didn't have to keep track of the key at the beach. We will be back and are very likely to rent this unit again.
