Classic Lk Le Homme Dieu Cottage! Level sand beach!

Mary's place - This cottage will be the foundation of memories for years to come! This charming cabin has undergone a face lift and ready for your relaxing time on Lake Le Homme Dieu this spring and summer! Its not perfect but the memories are priceless!

4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, well stocked huge kitchen/dining room with a center island to seat all for meals, games and a few fish stories. Enjoy the breakfast porch, and the lakeside screened in porch. The bedrooms are complete with comfortable beds, fresh linens and fluffy towels. Full size refrigerator and all the comforts of home including dishwasher, washer and dryer right down to the Keurig and waffle maker! Ceiling fans to take in the lake breeze and central air just in case it heats up! Level to the lake, sugar sand beach and great fishing right off the dock! Lake amenities include the paddle boat, Maui mat, kayak, a small fishing boat, hammock and of course a campfire ring to relax and recall the day's events.

We are close by to assist you should you have any questions or special requests during your stay.

We are just minutes to Alexandria, Carlos State Park, Carlos Creek Winery, Golf and fine dining establishments such as Interlachen Inn, the Lure and Zorbaz.

We have a pontoon rental available just ask or we can arrange when you arrive.
There is a book on the counter for you when you arrive with more details and a check in sheet.

The WIFI instructions are available also for streaming.

Garbage is to be set out Monday evenings for early Tuesday pick up. Please let us know if you need assistance with this.

If weather is inclement, please make sure all water toys and chairs are secure.

Family get away

Great location, shore and view! Comfortable cabin with a lot of different areas to spread out in. Enjoyed fishing off the dock and playing in the lake with the grandkids. Other activities and dining are short drives away.

Beautiful place

Great space for larger groups, plenty of bedrooms and common areas. Awesome lake front. Host supplies most things you need for your stay, appliances, plates and etc, water toys, games, grill, much more. The house had great decor and made it feel inviting and relaxing. It is an older home and was updated nicely while keeping charm of original era of when it was built. The place was outwardly clean but could use a more thorough cleaning in between guest stays.

Awesome Week

We had a wonderful stay! The house is located right on the water and is simply wonderful. The house is super cute and is well stocked. The amenities were great and our 4year-old grandson stayed very busy! There was something for everyone!

Great Family Vacation Home

This was the second time we stayed here for our family vacation and loved it just as much as the first. It’s a great location on one of the chain of lakes in Alexandria and is well equipped and spacious for our family to spread out and enjoy. The owners are responsive and have been wonderful to work with. We will likely rent again next year for our summer vacation.

Family Friendly

So happy to be back to Mary’s place ! Perfect Cabin /home for our entire family. From kitchen space , living room and bedrooms as well as 3 season porch! Kids enjoyed the beach and fishing off the dock. The outdoor space , campfire was perfect for us as well. Grandkids already asking to come back next summer.

Incredible week at the lake!

We had the best time at this property - the location was great, sandy beach with clear water was beautiful, the house was comfortable for our family, there were toys and tons of things to do throughout the property and the hosts responded to our requests quickly every time. Great Lake Home for Family of All Ages

This was a very well equipped vacation rental on a lovely lake in the Alexandria lake system. The kitchen has all the pots, pans, dishes, and silverware needed for a big group. It also had coffee, cooking spices, and the basics to do the job. The property also had all the lake toys we wanted from paddle boat, to paddle board, to water loungers and even a row boat. We rented the pontoon which was great for family rides and fishing. The beach was sandy and there was a great place to swim for our toddler. The home had plenty of space, great internet service, a three seasons porch and a huge space in the kitchen for us to sit down for dinner and spread out. We capped off most nights with a fire by the lake and smores. Finally, the owners were helpful, responsive, and very pleasant to work with.

Mary's Place was Simply WONDERFUL!

Mary's Place was perfect for our family. We've stayed in other VRBO's but Dave and Julie provided an exemplary environment with about everything we could have hoped for and beyond. The property was peaceful and full of wonderful surprises throughout the house. Dave and Julie were available if a need arose. Loved our stay and will definitely return. 5 stars

Great Lake house!

Nice and close to the lake with a nice beach. Deep swimming just past the dock which we really enjoyed. Lots of sunnies right off the dock. Cabin has pretty much everything you need. Would recommend to anyone.

Beautiful property and location

Charming Lake cottage experience

This house was great for a week at the lake. Lots of comfortable beds and bedding. The lake was Sandy and clean, tons of fish off the end of the dock. I do VRBO’s in this area every summer and this place was fully stocked with Paper products and all the extras, toys, games, water toys - much more than normal! Only complaint was the dishwasher and the house (being old) was creaky if ppl woke up early/ others were trying to sleep. Overall amazing and would definitely stay again.

Wonderful place for family reunion!

We were searching for a property large enough for our family of 8 adults and 4 kiddos. One of the requirements was that it was on a lake with a sandy beach. Mary’s Place was absolutely perfect with a kitchen island with enough stools to accommodate the whole group, sun porch, deck, paddle boats and a row boat. 3 of the 4 bedrooms are very spacious with extra beds for parents and kids to share. David and Julie and Julie were fabulous hosts-immediately responding to any questions we had. The location is great for families who want to be near a town for necessities or activities. We loved it so much we’ve already booked our stay for next summer!

Had a great time.

Our family group of 7 adults and 4 kids enjoyed a fun and relaxing week at Mary’s Place. The huge kitchen/dining island had room for everyone for meals as well as group games, and the other large table on the porch was used for games as well. The breeze from across the bay kept it very pleasant in the shaded area between the house and beach. The hammock and lounge chair swing were favorite reading spots, though there was plenty of seating and lounging space to do your own things inside the house as well. The kids had a great time with the pedal boats and Maui mat, and were able to catch nice size sunfish and small bass right from the dock. Hosts David and Julie were outstanding- cheerful, attentive, and accommodating. (Hadn’t been to the Alex area before, so enjoyed the Legacy of the Lakes Museum and ice cream shop in town, and of course the kids liked the go karts and bumper boats at the nearby amusement park.)

Great MEA

This property is a treasure. The nostalgia has been preserved, but with comfortable updates. It is well equipped for your family. Julie & David are So kind and there for anything you need. The lake is beautiful, cool days with fires... our family had a wonderful time. Thank you!

We live close by, so we are available to assist you in a moments notice, though we have taken great care to make sure you have everything you need. We love this area and grew up on the lake and love watching our grandchildren enjoy it even more. We are proud to be a long time resident of this beautiful lakes area!

We purchased this property from a family friend, the property has been in their family for 50+ years. It is our hope to preserve the nostalgia of the old time cottage and share that with our family, guests and their families.

We are centrally located on the chain of lakes here in Alexandria. You can travel to 3 lakes from the dock. We have event centers, golf, nature and biking trails and the Lake Carlos State Park just minutes away. You can go for a boat ride for dinner across the bay or across the lakes to Arrowwood. The cottage has the charm of days gone by and the comforts and conveniences of home. We hope that this will be your summer place for years to come!
