New pool! Steps from the beach. Nicely appointed 3 bed 2 bath kid and pet friendly home on popular West side of St. George Island. Well stocked beautiful open kitchen and living area.
Fantastic large fenced play area for kids and pets. Multiple outdoor living spaces including a firepit for campfire fun.
Easy walk to the beach or just relax and enjoy the gulf views from the covered deck. Barefeet Retreat is also a perfect location for a day of bayside fun with bay access only 2 blocks away.
Kick back and relax at Barefeet retreat where kids and our furry friends are always welcome. Pet crate and pack n play included. High chair available upon request. Pool heater available upon request for an additional $250 fee.

The house was super warm and inviting. I especially loved the gate system - it is perfect for kids and pets. The house sits behind some bushes and trees and that really helps you to feel isolated, while still being so close to the center of town.

The MOST dog friendly house we’ve had on the island in 25years. Owners have thoughtfully designed the outdoor play yard with double gates for easy rinse off, gated porch for safe lounging, to the dog bowls & beds inside. Beyond impressive and super clean. I would absolutely recommend this home to anyone looking for a family and pet friendly place to stay! The host has 100 percent thought of everything you may need for your stay. Such a cozy and clean home, the pool was great and the balcony was definitely a favorite spot. My family (pets included) enjoyed this stay soooo much!!

They thought of everything!

For a family of 5, my husband and I, our son and his wife, and our almost 4 year old grandson ( along with our two fur babies) this vacation couldn’t have been much better! The owners definitely created this space with family in mind, all members! It was our first time not staying on the beach. I was sort of down about it. The ocean can be seen from the back deck. YES. The trip to the beach was less than two minutes by golf cart. The dogs could freely come and go from porch to fenced in play yard. They enjoyed both. The landscape was very pleasing to the eye. The pool was crystal clear and the sandbox was right up my grandsons alley! He spent a lot of time there. We all enjoyed the pool. My husband and son enjoyed corn hole. We all decided that the amenities alone made up for not being beach front. The house was so nicely decorated and very comfortable. It was beyond our expectations! We visit once a year and would certainly revisit this beautiful and fun filled home! Thank you to the owners for sharing your HOME with us. That’s what it felt like, a home.

We’re going to stay here again

5 stars Susan’s house is wonderful. Super clean and comfortable. More than enough kitchen and household supplies. The house is also well set up for youngsters and pets if needed. We didn’t use the pool but it is larger than most others we saw. Short walk to beach in quiet area of the island. We’ll definitely book here again.

Wonderful place to stay

Stayed here before and we love it! It has everything you need! Clean well stocked kitchen and just perfect! Our dogs love. Have friends and family at St. George so when there is a lot of us we book this place! It’s perfect

Great family getaway!

Host was so thoughtful! She cared as much for our furry friends as she did the people. I love to cook, and usually need to bring specific utensils to do so at rental houses. Not this time! She has everything. Everyone had a great time! Thank you Susan

I’ll add to the 5 star reviews…

This is a great, well-appointed house. They’ve thought of everything and considered the needs of everyone who might be a guest. We originally intended to bring our dog, but decided against it. Rest assured, the house is cleaned and maintained in such a way that you would never know dogs have been guests. The pool is large, and the house is mere steps from the very nice, uncrowded beach. Highly recommended!

St. George

Great clean house. Just a short walk around the block to public beach access. The house is perfect for kids with the fenced in playground and pool area. Our family enjoyed it.

Por que o anfitrião escolheu essa propriedade

We came to SGI for a family vacation in June of 2017. We were looking for a pet friendly beach so we could bring Annie and Oakley our Brittany spaniels. Funny story it was our 35th wedding anniversary and my husband forgot. So i teased him all week about giving me a beach house. It was one of the best family vacations I can remember. We all fell in love with the island and fortunately we were able to purchase a lot and build the beach house we have always dreamed of. We were scheduled to close the day Michael hit. Some very nervous hours but we were blessed and had no damage. Well built house! Thank you David Duncan! We have already made wonderful memories here and look forward to many years of enjoying our house with family and friend. I hope you will enjoy it as much as we do.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

We are located 2nd tier but have a very nice beach view, a short walk to the beach and a two block walk to the bay where you can enjoy beautiful sunsets. The bike path is at our driveway and leads into town. Walk or ride a bike to nearby restaurants or visit lighthouse park. Bring your dog and let them enjoy a day on the beach with you. Well behaved dogs are welcome at most restaurants and bars on SGI and in nearby Apalachicola.
