*PLEASE NOTE: SunDestin Beach Resort is undergoing a property modernization project. The popular Sundestin Beach Resort is centrally located in the heart of beautiful downtown Destin, just minutes from a wide variety of shops, recreation, nightlife and some of Destin’s most loved restaurants. The beautiful eighteen-story beach-front complex offers unsurpassed views of the breathtaking Gulf of Mexico while providing all of the comforts one would expect while vacationing on Florida’s Emerald Coast. The resort features a host of amenities such as a gulf-front outdoor pool, a seasonally-heated indoor pool, outdoor and indoor hot tubs, fitness room, sauna, steam room, gas barbecue grills, massage therapy, gift shop, video arcade, and much more. Location, affordability, amenities and a friendly, onsite, 24-hour staff makes Sundestin Beach Resort this one of Destin’s favorite resorts.
Things to Know
Check-in time: 4:00 p.m.
Check-out time: 10:00 a.m.
All guests shall abide by the good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.
No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises.
Ongoing construction and amenity closures are to be expected. Construction is predicted to be completed Spring 2026.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 1 vehicle.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

This condo is located right on the beach and visible from balcony. There were folding chairs available for use. Located close to entertainment and restaurant's. great place for small families

Great Partial Beach View

I liked that it was on the beach and easy to access. Both pools were closed which really sucked because that’s one of the main reasons we picked this one.

Convenient but dated.

Awesome location, friendliness staff I think I have ever met, but the room was sort of dated. And there was lime 7 remote controls for two TV's and took a bit to figure it out, but we would stay again. Just nit picking really, overall pleasant place to relax.

SunDestin Beach Getaway

Our SunDestin rental was great! We enjoyed the beach view and the easy accessibility to the beach. The property was clean and very comfortable for my wife and I. Our only small complaint was we couldn't get the keys until exactly 4pm. We had everything packed on our cart in a busy lobby. We asked the front desk lady if we could get the key at 3:55pm and we're told that we had to wait until exactly 4pm. A very small annoyance and the only thing keeping us from giving this location 5 stars.

Not happy

Condo smelled terrible. Called maintenance and they did t get back to me until 11:00pm! We have stayed at this location several time in the past but after this stay we will not return. We will also not be using vacasa rentals!

Great place.

Very cute, clean and convenient to everything. This could easily accommodate 2 couples as it has 1 1/2 baths and the bedroom is private. I felt like it was too expensive so I wouldn't rent it again but we did enjoy our stay.

❤️! Only minor inconveniences!

The resort was nice enough, condo was clean and stocked with most of the things we needed but we have decided if we come back for a visit we will bring our own pan to fry eggs with. Stainless steel pans are hard to cook eggs in, secondly, the bed was hard, but tolerable, pillows were hard and flat, we will bring ours the next trip. I expected an ocean front view and instead got a side view, and, no pizza cutter. We were celebrating our 32 anniversary and loved having access to the beach! That was our fav! Also close to Grocery stores, Walmart, and plenty of choices for eating out! The staff members at the resort were very nice and even helpful when we couldn’t figure out how to turn the TV on, what to do with 3 remotes?! Lol! The lady in the gift shop was super nice and turned us on to the Marina Cafe where we dined on our last night with a fireworks display .

Apartment does not look like pictures. Needs to be updated. Bed hard and tub stopped up every time we showered. Bathroom outdated and paint needs to be touched up.

Nice condo, good resort if you have children with you.

Condo was clean and kitchen was very well supplied with pots, pans, utensils, etc. When you plug the coffee pot in it immediately starts brewing, on/off buttons do not work. A couple of suggestions to improve the use of the condo - get rid of the decorative bowl on top of the refrigerator. You can't really see it or what is in it. That area could be put to better use storing bags of chips or bread. Smaller centerpiece on the dining table. Empty one of the shelves on the small shelving unit. That area is an excellent space to recharge electronics or place a woman's purse. And last I would add a couple of hooks on the back of the door in the bathroom sink area off the kitchen. The restricted view wasn't a problem, always had a little breeze going by. Comfortable condo, easy to stay in. About the resort itself - They do have grills outside to use but there is no signage in the condo or by the grills that you have to go to the front desk to ask for a key to turn the grills on. Umbrella service on the beach - If you have a single pole umbrella, don't bother bringing it. They do allow you to put up a E-Z up style tent but you are at the very back and when you look out to the water all you will see is a sea of umbrellas. If you go to the beach to listen to the waves and look at the water you won't be able to do that till after 5 pm when they take everything down. If you go down to the beach early in the morning thinking you are going to enjoy the view or the quiet of the waves, it's not going to happen. They start setting up 6:30ish. They don't ask you to move/leave, but it is very obvious you are in their way of setting up the umbrella and chairs. All of Destin beach is private property from the harbor to the state park.
