Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Though this house is in need of a deep cleaning (dog hair and spider webs in every corner and showers need a deep cleaning as well), we had a good stay here. The house is laid out in an odd way but it served its purpose and was in a good location. Despite other reviews, the kitchen was fully stocked including spices and cooking ware. Some suggestions for the owners would include: a shelf in front of the deck door (there is very limited counter space and storage space in the kitchen), the AC should be serviced again (upstairs stays warm and downstairs is freezing), not enough pillows or hangers in bedrooms, a full size coffee maker, add a mirror to the downstairs bathroom, new comforters (the ones provided were dingy), and a towel hook for the downstairs shower. Also, a neighbor yelled at us for using the right side of the driveway, stating that it is a private road and the realty company should have told us. We didn't let it ruin our week. Again, location was great and plenty of parking.

Thank you for the detailed feedback. We’re glad you had a good stay overall, enjoyed the location and parking, and found the kitchen well stocked. We’re sorry the cleanliness of some areas did not meet expectations. While the home receives a turnover cleaning between guests, items such as accumulated pet hair, cobwebs and shower buildup are helpful for us to know about so we can address them with the cleaning team and homeowner. We also appreciate the suggestions regarding the coffee maker, pillows, hangers, bathroom mirror, towel hook, comforters, kitchen storage and temperature differences between floors. Feedback like this is helpful when reviewing potential improvements to the home. We’re especially sorry to hear about the interaction regarding the neighboring private road. Guests certainly should not be put in the position of learning important parking or access information from a neighbor, and we will review the arrival information to make sure those instructions are clear going forward. Thank you again for your thoughtful comments and for not allowing these issues to overshadow your stay.

Weirdly shaped bedrooms with very little space

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: a house with two queen beds, one double and one single, spread over FOUR bedrooms should have a table with MORE than FOUR chairs. If we wanted to eat together, we had to sit outdoors, which didn't work when it was rainy or SUPER hot. A house that size should have a coffee maker BIGGER than five cups (which translates to three mugs). I've been renting for 40 + years in Wellfleet and never had a house that didn't have saran wrap, aluminum foil, coffee filters for the coffee maker. I sent an email asking if there were beach chairs, and the answer was "NO" yet when I arrived, the book of instruction (PREPRINTED) indicated three beach chairs, which would've made packing MUCH easier. We didn't know until half an hour BEFORE arrival if we would need to pick up the key from the broker or if we could access the house from the house. We've encountered BOTH situations over the years, and it would've been useful to know ahead of time. IT was extremely cold on the ground level when it was comfortable upstairs, and extremely HOT upstairs when it was comfortably cooled downstairs. We did enjoy PJ's, Long Pond, and other things, but that had nothing to do with the house. There were PLENTY of hooks but only wire baskets to store clothes in three of the bedrooms.The house was very clean, i must say.

Regarding household supplies, items such as plastic wrap, aluminum foil, coffee filters, condiments, and other consumables are not guaranteed amenities in our vacation rentals, as quantities and availability can vary from one guest to the next. We also understand the confusion regarding the beach chairs. Because items such as chairs and umbrellas can be moved, damaged, discarded, or taken during the season, we intentionally do not guarantee their availability even when some may be present at the home. Arrival instructions, including the property address and lockbox information, are sent electronically on the day of arrival. We understand that guests who have rented on the Cape for many years may have experienced different key-pickup procedures in the past, but this home utilizes direct property access. We appreciate the detailed feedback and will use the constructive portions of it as we continue working with the homeowner to improve the guest experience.

As to check-in: Robert Paul Properties provided incorrect WiFi passcode and despite 3 earlier confirmations there were only 7 beds instead of 8. Cot was provided 2nd day, but not a real bed. As to property: well-stocked kitchen, noisy A/C and supercold for downstairs rooms while warm in upstairs bedrooms, large common room rug should have mat for non-slip, bedrooms are extremely tight on space, couch has hole behind upper cushions, leg on chair needs repair, dining is difficult for large group.

Arriving and not finding the extra bed setup ready must have been frustrating, and we understand that. Once we were made aware, we did move quickly to get a cot delivered, but we know it would’ve been better if everything had been in place from the start. We also apologize for the confusion around the WiFi information. The correct details were posted in the home, but we’ve updated our records to make sure future guests receive the right info before they arrive. Because of the home’s open layout and the spiral staircase, temperature differences between floors can happen, but your note is helpful, and we’ve passed that along to the homeowner. We’ve also shared your comments about the rug, chair, and couch so those items can be looked at and addressed. On a positive note, we’re glad you enjoyed the kitchen and found it well equipped—that’s always great to hear. This home has an unconvential design. Very few of the spaces.are rectangular. It was designed by a prominent cape architect. The main floor is the top level. There are seven steps to get there. I was aware because my sister-in-law is mobility challenged. It was a minor challenge for her tonget upstairs. The main space is nicely laid out. It's bright with sunlight despite the dense tree canopy surrounding the house. It's an open design with high ceilings lots of windows, skylight. The bedrooms are small, irregularly shaped but adequate. There is a very large, versatile deck with nice views of the forest. To get to the lower floor there is a narrow, iron circular stair. Fortunately there is an opening to the outside on the ground level making it possible to bring in things from the car. The downstairs level has its own living room, bathroom and small.bedrooms. The location feels wooded and private while being very close to route six. It is near a.cove but access to.the cove is limited. There are places nearby to put in a kayak. This part of Wellfleet is not GPS-friendly so my only contact with the management company was figuring out how to.get there. They responded promptly. The house is well equpped. In addition to a regular drip coffee maker it has a keurig, which wasn't listed. It was difficult to find a temperature setting that served the whole house. Users of the upstairs bathroom.were challenged to turn the water on or off. We enjoyed our week.here.
