Cherrywood - A Modern Australian Bush Home

Perched high on top of Berry Mountain (about 15 minutes from the town of Berry), surrounded by woods and rain forest, Cherrywood is a modern Australian bush home, perched high on top of Berry Mountain.



The home sits on 40 acres and is surrounded by woods and rain forest, with ever changing North facing mountain views.



The property is equidistant from the historic Berry and Kangaroo Valley Villages. Relax in the large central living area with raking curved marine ply ceiling, 2 living areas, double faced fireplace and gourmet kitchen with 5 meter island bench making entertaining a delight.



Wake up in the king master bed looking out to the beautiful view, you might even catch a wombat or wallaby walking by.



The second bedroom has two single beds, the third and fourth bedrooms offer queen beds. All beds a dressed with luxurious white hotel quality linen.



Cherrywood allows guests to enjoy nature while still having modern conveniences.



Things to note:



All linen & towels provided



Access to the house once off the main road is along a section of dirt road



Mobile phone reception with some phone providers can be very limited. There is a landline for guests to make local and emergency calls.



Guests are required to take rubbish from the house to the council wheely bins at the top of the private road upon departure.



Firewood is provided from Easter Long weekend - October long weekend

Great get away

Very relaxing , nice little 4wd experience driving to the property. Lovely and warm fire place , very comfy beds.

Family weekend away

Lovely property tucked away between Berry and Kangaroo valley. Pristine nature, nice views and well equipped. Comfortable beds and all round good place to stay.

Beautiful and Peaceful

Great place to stay for a group. Beautiful surroundings and really close to Berry and Kangaroo Valley. A bit tricky to find at first but well worth it.

Quiet and peaceful getaway

Perfect place to stay for some relaxation and to get out of the city. Warm fireplace to sit by and beautiful view over the valley. The house had all you needed and was very clean.

Absolute serenity

Great place to zone out from the rat race. Great place for family and plenty of space to keep everyone to do what they want. Kids loved the playground.

Amazzzzzing place to stay

The place is very remote, and the road into the property is a slow drive, but not difficult but well worth it. The house is well placed and full of serenity and the beautiful native birds, wallabies and calming visual outlook is amazing ;) Definitely recommend it.

Peaceful scenic spot

A very attractive pleasant place. The only downside was that heating was by a wood heater which took a lot of wood and required topping up in the middle of the night to keep the place warm.

Thanks for your feedback Ian, We are happy to hear you enjoyed the house. The underfloor heating runs all winter is turned off when the weather warms up and unfortunately we had a cold front come through when you were staying and you therefore had to rely on the fireplace for warmth. All beds are also fitted with electric blankets. We hope this didn't ruin your stay and do hope you might return one day in future. We appreciate the comments and feedback. Berry Stay with the Family

We had a lovely serene stay here and are so happy to have enjoyed some space away from the bustle of metro Sydney. Would highly recommend it for those who enjoy the outdoors, lovely spacious home. Thank you!

Lovely weekend away

We loved this property and it was a perfect place for our family of adults to get together. The property is well equipped and beautifully appointed. A property specific guide would help as the board games and firewood were a too late discovery.

Peace and quiet

Great communication and beautiful property. A bit tricky to get to when roads are wet as they are quite slippery and more like a track, but it's fine if you just take it slow. Lots of wildlife and very peaceful. Kids loved the cubby house

Wonderful Weekend

The house is beautiful and has everything you need in the kitchen for cooking a feast - which we did several times. The beds are very comfortable with lovely linen. The views are gorgeous overlooking the valley. Best to arrive in daylight for navigating the route. An exceptional home.

If you drive with the windows down of a day time you can hear the beautiful sounds of all the birds that are in the surrounding bush land. We are glad you enjoyed the linen and the views. This property was a looking way out of Berry and felt too isolated for us.

Hi Bonnie, Thanks for your 4 star review. I expect this reflects the beautiful house and spot that Cherrywood is in. The property offers free wifi and phone line so guests can stay connected. The short 15 minute drive back to Berry is so beautiful through the trees and views. We find most travellers book this house for privacy, the large amazing gardens and the comfort of having an entire home to enjoy. Thanks again for choosing to stay with us!
